It was a beautifully adorable spectacle. Children, not quite at the age to join the legion, up on stage singing their little hearts out. It was so cute Robin couldn't help but smile the entire time. They had little bits of choreography, and little costumes. They sang songs to the gods, which made him especially happy in times like these. The little angelic voices were almost as in sync as those much older than them which sang in the same forum. It was amazing how talented and hard working little ones could be. They could at times work harder, be more honest, and wiser than those older than them. Robin loved children. They hadn't grown calluses on their emotions like adults can. Some had yet made the biases older people made. Prejudging people because of who their parents were, color of their skin, gender, or any other strange thing people decided to become prejudice against. Sure they could also be incredibly self centered, and have a small view of the world thinking it revolved around them, but adults had that too. It just happened to be adorable on a child, and Robin would be more than happy to let his own children know his world revolved around them.
Stepping out of the forum and into the sun, it was another bright day. The air was starting to cool off a bit and he tugged the scarf just a bit tighter around his neck. Huddling down slightly into his long warm peacoat, he could still miss going home to his wife’s warm arms even three years later. Putting his slightly cold hands into his pockets he wondered if it really had been that long already. He could still imagine the sun shining off her hair, her laugh, her smile. A cold wind cut through his scarf, and sent his hair fluttering to one side, slightly sticking up. Strong winds weren't normal in the valley they stayed in, but so near the ocean it wasn't unheard of.
