It had taken a bit of self examining, and a bit of quality time with people who actually cared about her, like Jason, Gunnar, and now even Lilith a little bit, but Tessa slightly figured out what she might want to do. She wanted to be a nurse. Something similar at least. She always liked herbal remedies better, but knew that modern medicine had it's necessary uses. Perhaps something like working at a small clinic would fit her well, she wasn't sure of all the specifics just yet. That was why she was on the collage campus today, looking though the class brochures, and different curriculum’s. There were so many that she wanted to try taking, so much she wanted to try learning. Perhaps a dual major, or a single major she was working towards and whatever other classes she fancied. It said that twelve credit hours was a full time student, but that didn't seem right to her. Perhaps she would go for eighteen, or twenty one. That seemed more reasonable, though she'd need to talk to a few people about that first.

Sitting out on the lawn she had books from the library, along with the pile of material she had dug up around the school. When Tessa did research she did it right, at least that's how she saw it. Other people might say she looked a bit too much into it, but she couldn't help but want to make the best, most informed decision possible. Perhaps even talking to Lord Mercury about it would be beneficial, he was the god of business and going to college was kind of like that right? Perhaps people would fine her strange for that particular line of thought, but it was a business in her mind. Serious business.

People laughed and walked around in the warm summer air. Autumn would soon be upon the little valley they lived in, but they weren't too particularly cold. Even the winters weren't that chilly on the California coast. Blood flowed to her face turning her cheeks a soft pink as she thought about winter. Going to visit that cabin Gunnar had in the cold of winter, snow all around, was going to be something. She wasn't quite sure what that something was, since it had been so long since she had seen real snow. The kind that piled on the ground in feet instead of inches. She wanted to see it, and to be honest she wanted to roll around in the fresh powder. She'd never allow herself to get a cold though, now when she was the head of the Infirmary now. Not after Jason had chosen to entrust the health of the entire camp to her.

Ah, Academia. A place Prometheus liked to think himself responsible for. After all, had mankind not gotten the gift of fire, where would they be? Certainly not studying higher sciences and pondering the human mind and all of those glorious topics that came up here. Invention wouldn’t happen. It was he who whispered in mankind’s ear through the centuries. Telling them secrets and ideas and new ways to do anything they put their minds to. He was the Titan of Forethought. He knew what would help mankind and what would not. What they needed to get to the next level of brilliance. Or sometimes, just to survive. He prided himself in his job. Even if what most people thought of when they heard his name was his horrible punishment. Ah well, he couldn’t win them all. And that upstart Minerva who’d meant to replace him? She could take a hike.

Which brought him back too New Rome, where he was taking a walk through the streets towards the great center of learning just a little ways ahead. Rome did know how to do things right. Then again, he’d rather enjoyed sitting in on the meetings of the great philosophers of Athens in their day as well. But the Greek demigods seemed no longer to hold to that tradition. The Romans, however, they had an enormous building meant for nothing more than the furthering of education and knowledge. It was perfect. He stood back and watched the crowds of young people – and some older people, possibly professors or returning students – milling around, enjoying the day. It was a beautiful day. The sun was out, the birds were singing. It was typical California weather. Another reason he oftentimes preferred visiting the Romans over the Greeks. Then again, now that Saturn was targeting this little camp for his trouble, Prometheus wondered how welcome his face would be here.

Well, only one way to find out. He scanned the crowds until he spotted someone who looked pleasant enough to talk to. She was sitting on her own with an impressive stack of books and paperwork at her side. Tessa, if he wasn’t much mistaken. He made a point to keep up on big names at the camp, and the head of the infirmary made that list. That and the forethought thing did help some. Call it cheating if you would, but he did use his powers to give himself an upper hand quite frequently really. So he straightened his suit jacket and strolled over to her. “Young lady, do you mind if I join you?” he asked pleasantly enough. Anyone who seemed to be putting so much effort into studying when she wasn’t even retired yet was worth talking to, after all.

How often did Tessa take pause for the soft breeze? To listen to the sounds of people and life all around her? She never really did before. She felt that the time was better spent. Recently that mentality was starting to wane, to something that allowed her a little more freedom. She still had that underlying need to be perfect, to get everything exactly right, or she was worthless. That feeling that crept up in the back of her mind still sat there ever present working it's way out at the most inappropriate times. Especially now that she was Head of the Infirmary she wanted to be perfect, to do everything right and not drag Jason's name through the mud. She was near certain she would do something stupid and sully his decision of putting her in charge. She had to work harder, think more, do better. She had to focus on this, taking care of the camps health. Everything else took a kind of back burner, and despite that it seemed to help her sort out her priorities. That, and Gunnar. He helped her so much, just by being with her. He took her away on dates every week, at least once, forcing her to take time to herself. It was something she had never done before. Everything was to make her a better Roman, a better soldier. That was her everything, her life, her goal. She'd work herself sick trying to be what she considered the perfect Roman. Worked herself in the infirmary more than a few times, and not on the happy taking care of people end of the infirmary. Now she was here just trying to figure out what she really wanted to do, what would make her happy. For the first time in her life she wanted to try and be happy with herself, instead of working to be perfect for other people.

She had colorful sticky notes, pencils, highlighters, everything she wanted to mark the catalog she had gotten from the Academia. The multitude of course plans, and the possibilities that eked out from them for different lines of thinking, profession, and so very many interesting things. She even thought about a course in blacksmith, an actual course and not just the teachings she got from Ronan, or Edmund. Though they had both been very helpful. The tip of the pencil found it's way through her hair, easily finding her scalp as she drug it back and forth riding herself of an itch. Then came a voice, startling her ever so slightly. She focused so much on a single subject, the world around her easily fell away. It was the reason she was so easily startled, and no matter how she tried to keep herself aware of her surroundings her mind always seemed to find the very thing directly in front of her more interesting. That is unless she got a dreadful eight hours of sleep on repeated days, then her attentions were so scattered and it was difficult to handle. A gentle man in a suit, scars over every bit of his skin she could see, not that a suit left much skin visible. It might have been a good idea to bring some kind of blanket to sit on, and set the books on, but Tessa never brought one for them before, she didn't have one now. It made her feel a little conscious of that fact, since the person before her would have to sit on the grass of find his own seat should he want to sit. He must have been quite the veteran to have scars as he did.

A smile brought up the corners of her naturally pink lips as she nodded. Then pencil already at her finger tips easily found her notepad, one she was currently using to jot down reminders of what to do and what to ask. A flip of the page and she wrote in her carefully legible, but incredibly quick way. The letters curling into one another slightly, small bits of curved line sometimes linking one letter to the next without being cursive. 'Of course you can, what brings you over here?' Curious, as anyone would be, as to why he came to speak to her. She was a lone student, or perhaps not yet a student but he shouldn't know that. She supposed she did have an alarming amount of material in front of her, and at a glance one could see they were class catalogs and similar things. Perhaps he could have known then, but that left her with the why still. Why was her standing here in front of her?

His earlier assessment of her seemed to be correct. She did seem quite the calm, collected, kind type. Especially judging from the smile that crossed her face. Good, good. Though when she started writing, he was a little puzzled. That was one he wasn’t expecting. But he patiently waited to see what she was up to. Ah, there it was. Communicating via writing. Curious. He’d have to learn more about that one. He supposed there would always be things even he didn’t know, which only meant opportunities for learning. Which was fine by him. He read her little note, very neatly written he might add, and smiled. “Thank you.” He carefully took a seat next to her. “Tessa, I believe? I’ve heard of your great medical prowess. The head of the infirmary, if I’m not much mistaken. A very highly esteemed position. My congratulations.” He looked over the books in her stacks. Yes, she was a curious one indeed. By the looks of it, planning ahead. Good on her. A mind after his own heart.

He crossed his legs out in front of him and picked up one of the catalogs at her side, leafing through it. “Hard to pick just one thing, isn’t it? With so much to learn, so many possibilities. Endless, what you could do. Here, out there, on the moon, anywhere. Impressive how far mankind has come. And you’re in an age when things change so fast, there’s always something new going on. Something to take advantage of to be sure.” He ran his finger down the list on one of the pages of class listings and smirked. “They offer classes on some of the most curious things. Then again, I suppose even glasswork has it’s definite uses.” He sighed and set the catalog back in its place. “As to why I’m here, that is a god question. I always have had an interest in higher learning. It’s a bit of a hobby of mine, I suppose you would say. And you seem the type to be good company. You have that look about you, you know. I like to think I have a way of reading people, and judging from your warm welcome, I believe I just might be correct.” He favored her with a smile. “So, Miss Yates. How goes the future planning? Looks like you have quite the assortment to pick from, doesn’t it?”

So she was actually known else where, which wasn't too unusual considering. Though she hadn't given it much thought that as head medic in Camp Jupiter she would be a somewhat important person to know. She stared down at her notebook a moment, her ears feeling a bit warm behind her light red hair. The blood raising to them at the comment about her supposed medical prowess. She gave a slight nod as he congratulated her, looking over at the man in a suit beside her as she did so. He seemed to be that calm type, the one that thinks before he does anything. She shook that thought, she really disliked having impressions of people like that. You can never really be right when you first meet someone. Though all those scars on him, he must have lived though quite a lot. She gave him a smile. It was always nicer to smile at people than anything else. 'Thank you, but I wouldn't say I have great medical prowess. I can do a bit of medical work, but I'm not like some of the others who can sing a song to Apollo for healing.' Though to be perfectly honest she never tried. Sure she enjoyed singing very much, and as shallow as it may be she enjoyed hearing her own voice. She was so quite all the time being able to sing and talk was valuable.

She bounced in place a little as her eyes light up, that peaceful smile grew into of of joy. She hadn't talked with Gunnar about it yet, of course not since she hadn't done any research before. She wanted to tell him, she was excited, and that made her want to talk. She wanted to talk to Gunnar, the only person she really felt comfortable speaking aloud to. It was just not the same to be writing it out on a paper with a pencil. She also tended to draw back on the number of words she used and sentences so people didn't have to read that much. She caught a little bit of how he seemed to detach himself from time and humanity, but only just barely and decided it was probably just the way he talked. She nodded her head along with his words, not quite the one to dial back her interest in things like this. The things she found interesting, which had seemed to grow since she had first stepped into Camp. If she were to speak she could do more, say more, speak more. However she was limited, only able to keep a few notes on what she wanted to comment on as he spoke, until he was done. Then she finally constructed her sentences. 'It really is difficult to try and find only one curriculum to follow. I think I may end up with a double Major, and possibly a Minor in something. I'll certainly do what I can and learn what I want. One never stops learning after all. My planning may take a little while, starting off I'd like to choose a path and pick some classes, probably extra classes I find interesting such as forging, possibly a home economics course.' She felt she needed to learn to cook, and while she could sew well enough that was mostly self taught. It would be nice to have instruction in it. So many classes, so little time.

Prometheus smiled warmly at her. She did seem kind-hearted. Which was sometimes unusual for the Romans. He remembered times many years ago when there would be so few kinder Romans that he could count them on his fingers. He preferred them that way though, gentler. He himself wasn’t a fighter, so perhaps that explained it. Also explained why he spent most of his time with the Greeks. Thinkers, not fighters, they always had been. But there were some among the Romans who were like that too. Take Tessa for instance. While he didn’t doubt that she was a fighter in her own right (she was still a Roman after all), he got the sense that that wasn’t her choice lifestyle. Not like the children of Mars, say. No, she was different. In a good way. He was glad to have found her here today. Taking time to talk with people like her was always worthwhile. “Now don’t sell yourself short. Just because you don’t sing doesn’t make you any less invaluable. This camp needs you. Looks up to you. You have a lot of influence here, and you use it to the better. You have not let it corrupt you. I commend you for that.”

The topic changed to education and he could see the sheer excitement in her eyes, in her mannerisms. He held back a chuckle. Yes, definitely a mind after his own heart. The way she lit up at the talk of learning. It was refreshing to see. Yes, this was why he still loved mankind. Such wonderful creatures, with their thirst for knowledge and advancement. It was splendid to see. He read her note with a smile still on his face. “It sounds like you have a grand plan. It will keep you busy for sure, but busy is not always bad. Though I must admit, forging is an unexpected turn. Good for you though. Trying new things. That’s important. And home economics, always a good idea. Might I suggest a finances course too? Usually a useful thing to have under your belt. And I imagine a place as highly esteemed as the Academia would offer all odd assortments of other things to boot.” He took a moment to look around at the Academia. How it had grown since the first time the Romans had moved here. How everything had grown. It was true that Rome wasn’t built in a day though. This place had taken years to reach its current glory, but they were well worth it. Hard fought, but well won.

She supposed he was just a bit right, she had a good amount of influence. She needed to use that better, she had an entire infirmary she needed to run, and that meant a large number of people under her command. Of course Jason had commented that to her, just a bit, that she needed to be more responsible. She had accidentally left the sauna door lock from the inside, and left somewhere with Gunnar. Certainly not how someone in a position like hers needed to act. Though the fact she influenced people was not directly on her mind before, how could she use that? Especially in times like this, where there was trouble going on with Saturn stirring up problems. That annoying Titan rearing his ugly head again. She despised him with a passion not easily rivaled, especially after the murder of her centurion. She needn't think about that right now though. She'd have a troubled look on her face, her conversation would turn unpleasant and this man was being a perfectly delightful person to talk to. 'I can put it to better use, I only run the infirmary. Perhaps you're right, I may be able to use my influence better.' A small shrug came with her pretty little smile, she wasn't sure she could do any lasting good, in the infirmary, or in camp. You can't be sure without trying though.

Busy? No, this was certainly not her version of busy. She'd kept herself busy through her entire life, as an actress, as a legionnaire, every part of her life was busy. A few classes wouldn't be bad. For some reason they thought that twelve credit hours was full time, she couldn't imagine how much extra time she would have. You should spend about as much time working outside of class as you do in class. Studying, and doing work, or so she'd heard. Even with that there was far too much time in a day to only do that. Then there was the weekends! Finances was a fantastic idea though. She'd never learned to balance a check book. She made a note of that on the college papers. It would more than likely be under the business section, up on the Mercury line of work. The line of work she preferred to associate with him at any rate, she wasn't too fond of thieves, but she cared for the gods. Just ignore the bad habit or two. 'Thank you, I hadn't thought of taking a financial aid class. I'll certainly need that later in life. Even now it could be considered useful.' she had a good amount of money for classes, and books, but you have to learn to balance your money correctly. She already had been doing her best with the medical supplies and money they were allotted. Perhaps she would actually take that class next time it came around, certainly Jason and Remus wouldn't begrudge her a few hours for a class like that? Official learning for it, instead of winging it as she'd done for the past three years. 'You know my name, may I ask yours?'

Her polite smile almost never left her face, except for the times when he was giving her advice, or a few things to think about. At those times he had her full attention, the change in her facial expression showed. Her eyes showing a small hint of the smile on her face, to glowing with interest. Even her shoulders seems to push back just a little bit as she sat up straighter to listen to him.

Prometheus shook his head as he read her writing. It was sad how people could downgrade themselves so often. “I think you misunderstand me. You say you ‘only run the infirmary’ as if it were a trivial thing. I should think not. You have in your hands the lives and well-being of this entire camp. That is something to be proud of. To work hard to live up to. Not that I’m saying you don’t. Your presence here at the Academia is proof enough that you are working hard. Not many would approach so daunting a task before retiring from the military service.”

He leaned back on his hands and regarded the open campus. A small group of likely professors passed by, deep in conversation, hardly aware of the two sitting there. Sometimes he wondered what it would be like to be a mere mortal, spending such a short span of time on the earth, seeking knowledge of power or what have you. Not having the gift of foresight that he was so accustomed to. While he admired the human race, he had no desire to be a part of it. Though he took a vested interest in them, more so than most of his contemporaries, he was still mostly just a bystander, a spectator. Sure, occasionally he would step in, leave some advice here, or fire there – more often the metaphorical fire of inspiration, he liked to think – but nothing past that. Mankind was, for the most part, to be left to their own devices. Most of the time. Right now, though, was something of a different story. Tessa was an interesting young lady. And he made a point of meeting up with interesting people. He had in the past shared a meal with Winston Churchill, spoken at length with William Shakespeare, shared some of his advice with Steve Jobs, the list went on. Interesting, inspiring and inspired people. And Tessa had a lot of potential in that area.

When he heard the scratching of her writing utensil again, he looked over to her and patiently waited for her to finish writing, all the while vaguely wondering why it was that she wrote everything down like that. Wouldn’t sign language be more efficient? Or perhaps she was worried that not everyone knew sign language, yes, that could be it. Though he would think it terribly inconvenient to have to carry around a paper and something to write with all the time. Ah well, who was he to judge? He smiled at her question. “I’m sorry if I came across rude, not introducing myself. Old habits of anonymity, you know. But my name is Prometheus.”

Tessa cracked open another book, it was really the most difficult thing to try and cut back on what classes she would be taking. Learning new things was exciting, and practicing it and trying to get better. It was what she lived for, to better herself. No matter the strange reasons she had started down that road, it was all she knew now. Not a bad thing, if only she would think about it as advancing for her own sake and not to try and please others. Her biggest problem was that she still wanted people to pay attention to her, and not for her voice or looks. Especially her parents. She wanted them to praise her for doing well, and for learning and doing more, when she finally got to see them again she hoped they would be proud. She knew she couldn't spend time with them after leaving the legion, not much of it anyway, because she would be making her own life. Expected to be doing something for herself. She had planned on becoming an actress again at first, but there was so much more out there than just being a singer or an actress. If she had the ability she could be a forger, but her hands never callused like they should to work with tools like that. Even fighting they didn't callus for her bow or sword. She had specialty gloves, thin enough and tight enough to feel, but moved with her and made it so the sword and bow didn't rip at her skin. Thank goodness for the crafters in camp, and those children of Mercury able to get whatever type of fabric you might need. In fact anything of any kind you might need. Tessa stiffened a bit and her eyes turned up from her book. Prometheus? The Titan of Forethought? What was he even doing here? He was just, sitting there. Talking. Like normal people, but he wasn't normal people. He was an Immortal for one, and a Titan for another. If she remembered correctly he sided with Saturn in the last war, though she never saw him fight. She hadn't seen Saturn fight either though. “Please, my apologies if I was rude, not speaking.” Her lovely voice chimed with the loveliest melody one could hear. Her dulcet tones rose and fell as she spoke emotion and caring into each word, clear and concise her every syllable was well enunciated. There was little slurring in her sweet beautiful words, which could pull the ear of even the most critical composer. This was the voice of the girl who could sway emotions in her favor with only a word, who's grandfather was the god of song, and grandmother the lady of seduction. No matter how she wished this power would go away. “Lord Prometheus, if I might ask, why are you here? I'm not sure how well those in your generation of Immortals are welcomed here.” She of course spoke of the Titans, and she didn't quite trust the god herself either. He had not done anything to her, and she would not attempt to offend him. She wasn't a brash fool, she wasn't sure where he stood in this war or why he was here. Prometheus had helped man kind before, he'd gotten very hurt over it, and his scars remained. Why had he turned against them in the last war? Would such a question be completely unheard of? Would it be terribly rude? He seemed like a rather pleasant person to talk to, but Tessa knew better than to be fooled by those appearances.

Prometheus often enjoyed seeing the reactions people had when they learned who he really was. It was… enriching. He could partially see where Saturn got his old jolt from such a thing. Being a powerful, well-known figure did have its perks. And he would be wrong to say that he didn’t enjoy them too. Sometimes the reaction he got was a little less desirable. Like that boy in China who thought he was named after the movie, Prometheus. Which last he checked, wasn’t even all that good. At least in his opinion. Then again, he had a tendency to dislike things that took his name without honoring him at all, so he hadn’t even bothered to go see that movie. So in all honesty, it could be an excellent movie. Oh well, it was out of theaters now. His loss. Or not perhaps.

So he watched her closely as she stiffened and looked up from what she had been doing. Let it sink in. He smiled kindly, trying to convey that he was not here for any bad reasons or the like. Though it dipped slightly at her words. Was she using charm speak? On him? He was slightly offended. An eyebrow quirked up slightly. She wasn’t saying anything that required the use of charm speak, unless she really was afraid he would be mad at her for not speaking before. Was she seriously that worried about that so as to use her gift on him? He waved a hand. “No apologies necessary. Though the charm speak is also not necessary.”

He leaned back on his hands. “A good question. I like to be around people. Unlike my brethren, I find mankind fascinating and certainly worth the time.” He shrugged. “Actually, I’ve found this camp to be one of the few places left where I am welcome. My brethren, the Titans, as well as the Olympians, harbor no particular fondness for me of late. So I am a neutral party. However, if you wish me to leave you alone, I shall.” He was not here to make the young lady uncomfortable, after all. If his presence truly was that disturbing for her, he could always leave and no harm done. Well, leave her at least. He would always stay around the camp. He had… friends here. Well, he had ‘friends’ everywhere, but people like Lyn here, he felt he had to stay for.

He smiled kindly at her but it dropped when she spoke. Perhaps she offended him. The charm speak, it wasn't strong like her aunts, where she could command someone. Though it also wasn't something she could turn off. "I know, and I know you're unaffected which is why I speak. My charm speak isn't something I can turn off. If it offends you I can go back to writing?" she sincerely hoped he wasn't offended, by either her writing or her use of charm speak. She really couldn't help it. The little worry lines seemed to make tiny etchings across her forehead. Though he waved it off as if it where nothing and continued to speak to her. She tried not to make her normal nervous habit come out, not messing with her hands or the papers in them. It was difficult to do, but if she was aware of it she could avoid it. This was Prometheus after all, she knew his stories as well as anyone else in New Rome. He seemed to be more on humanities side than any other god in existence, but sided with Saturn in the last war supposedly. Belonging nowhere else, maybe he really was more like them than others. Demigods didn't belong anywhere in the outside world, or so she had come to hear. Her mother and father seemed to find their place, though she didn't really think she'd find one out there. The ADHD seemed to give some people more trouble where it wasn't understood. In New Rome it seemed like teachers could better deal with it, she remembered how she exasperated her own tutors with her inability to sit still. "No, no please. You're absolutely fine to stay. I don't mean to make you feel like I'd rather you left. Speaking with an Immortal is still...a small bit unnerving though. You've got so much knowledge, and power and I'm certain I'm just boring talking about these classes..." She wasn't even sure the last time she prayed to the gods, she always felt like it would simply be a bother. There were people who needed their attentions more than she did. She had Jason, and Gunner at her side after all. She couldn't ask for anyone better. She had the rewarding work from the infirmary. There was no reason for her to bother the gods, or anyone with her problems really. They weren't actual problems, not when compared to others. Though that really was her problem, comparing herself to other people, her problems to other peoples problems. Always with the negatives being towards her. "You're always welcome to stay and talk to me, and of course if you want to leave at any time."

Prometheus waved away her words. “You’re fine. You only caught me off guard is all. I was not expecting charm speak. I had heard that you had the ability, but I did not realize the… how to say, inability to ‘turn it off’. By all means, though, please continue speaking. As you said, I am not affected. And even if I were, I trust someone such as yourself would not use it against me.” His smile showed trust, but there was something else lurking deep in his eyes. A reminder that though he walked among the mortals, he was not one of them. He was, though not as warlike as his brethren, still dangerous if gotten on the wrong side of.

But that aside, Tessa seemed harmless. From what he knew of her, she was a good person. Loyal, hard-working, the whole nine yards. And he had had words with Gunnar, with whom he understood her to romantically involved. Now there was something even he had not predicted. Tessa, sure, but Gunnar? That young man seemed very much caught up in his work, or he was last time he’d spoken with him. Ah well. Good for him. They both deserved to be happy. In Prometheus’ mind, there were precious few who didn’t deserve that.

He favored her with a smile and nodded. “Ah, I see. Yes, I suppose that makes sense. I apologize if my presence is unsettling for you. I’m glad you don’t seem to mind though. And I honestly don’t mind hearing about your class plans. I find it very interesting. I like to know what people are up to, and higher education is, in my mind, always something worth pursuing.” He watched her a moment. She was a strong young lady. Well on her way. Many girls her age ought to take a leaf out of her book if they knew what was good for them. However, from what he understood, most seemed not to know what was good for them. Well then, they would simply learn the hard way. It was always easier to follow in the footsteps of greatness than to tread a new route to the same location. Perhaps saying she couldn't turn it off was a bit to rudimentary? It was the phrase she was used to saying, but she could have used another way to say it. One that wasn't the dumbed down version. Prometheus was the Titan of forethought, and if she remembered none so far could compete with him intellectually. How should she have phrased it then? The inability to terminate? Unstoppable? Juggernaut? Okay she might be thinking about this too much and being a little paranoid. It was done and she'd made a million horrible impressions on him. She wasn't struck dead, or anything of the sort, so perhaps she should attempt to give up on this and move on with the conversation. "No, no certainly not! If I even thought you were affected I'd still be writing. I don't like if people only listen to what I say for my charm speak." He seemed kind enough, with that warm smile despite his rough features. Even if it were possible to forget the power of the being sitting in front of her, she could feel it in his gaze. See it in his eyes. How could she not have noticed before? She never really found anything about herself to be interesting, but hearing that Lord Prometheus was even a bit intrigued by her schedule she was happy. She glanced a bit away, smiling from the fact something she did could be of interest to someone. Especially a god, it made her want to start talking more and more about the plans, the schedules. What all she thought about it. "Well I can't imagine how someone would stop learning. It'd be a terrible life to live if you simply stopped. New things are invented and found every day, especially in the medical field it's necessary. I'm not very good in things like math and earth sciences, but I can find some thing interesting in them. Like herbs, it's good to know them. Maybe make my own medicine that doesn't have as many draw back as the ones we currently use in the infirmary. My uncle tried to find new and rather inventive uses of nectar and ambrosia, but I think it'd be really great to find something that works on everyone... or... something... of that nature..." she said with a bit of a blush looking down at her notes and nervously shuffling them. Only a moment before she forced her own hands to stop moving in such an unproductive and obviously nervous manner. She didn't often go on talking for so long, except perhaps with Gunnar. He could understand many of the terms she used, and understood the way the human body works well enough she could rattle on for hours. She had little doubt Prometheus would know some of the words in the medical profession, perhaps a little about how the human body worked considering he created them. That was a reminder Tessa didn't necessary need. She was sitting across from the one who created Humanity, though perhaps not woman. Pandora was a bit of a trap, but not one she thought as a terrible thing. Sure it unleashed evils, but without that there would only be good and people wouldn't have the same kind of choices they do now. As it is people choose to do good, and to help. That was a joyous thing, at least to Tessa. Perhaps though she was also a bit on Lord Jupiter's side in these matters. She couldn't help but feel very flattered by him. It was mostly because he was an immortal, and suggested she was good company. "I don't see how I wouldn't be overjoyed with your company Lord Prometheus. If I'm good company I can't imagine there'd be a place on the scale for how wonderful your company is." she spoke with a smile and a soft blush on her cheeks. She was always one to speak to the gods as the beings of great power they were. You could say there was a great number of them, but considering how many mortals there were on earth the number was actually quite small. He chuckled and she let out a soft laugh of her own. "Well most of it I'd consider practice as well. I do a little metal working so I know how to treat my weapons better, and I sew to practice my stitching for medical work. I also study herbs and tea's for treatment of stress, and anxiety, or sleep deprivation. It's a bit rampant in Camp. As is not eating but I don't think I can make a tea for that. Your body needs actual calories, and with the amount of physical work we do it's quite high. Then...then once in a while I go and....relax a bit. Let my mind and body rest I suppose. Only recently, and it seems to be just as beneficial as sleep." She was normally very good at speaking in complete sentences without stuttering or pausing, but when it came to speaking about Gunnar her face would flush and her words would catch. "I also set up little movie nights for everyone every other week, but it's normally on the night I'm working anyway. I'm not sure if you would count that as spare time. What of you Lord? If it's not to presumptuous for me to ask." It was the polite thing to do to ask, and she was always curious about what the gods were doing. Especially this particular one. A titan, though not the one she hated. Saturn she despised with a wicked and twisted pleasure. Few beings she would put to Jupiter’s rather harsh punishments, but she couldn't find a single one she thought fit that deceptive, manipulative, cheating snake. She had little mind for torturing, but she imagined if she tried she could find a toxin or two that would cause great pain.
