The water sat still, normally some kids could be found spending their free time in the water of the pool but today it was empty. He`d invited Felicity for a simple get together swim, he knew she wasn`t to fond of the water but he wanted to show her that he`d never let anything hurt her. He had a feeling of trust and compassion for the girl, both where children of the big three and had a very different life than those around them. He wasnt like some of the past Neptune children, Caspian didn`t care that her father was overly protective or that his hated hers. When he was with the daughter of Pluto he felt safe and happy. There was no fear of death with her just the time they shared and he`d cross swords with any man who dared to harm her. Caspian could feel the moisture in the air he didn`t bother to wait instead he took a running start towards the edge of the pool and jumped into it. As his body slowly sank to the bottom Cas willed the water to engulf his body letting him feel the cold crisp embrace that he`d come to love.

Over time Caspian has learned that constantly yearning to be in the water would not help him in the long run. As he grew and changed he spent more time on land and less taking in the watery surroundings that filled his mind. The dark haired male sat underwater breathing as he just enjoyed himself and the gift that his father had passed down to him, never once had their been a child of Neptune who hadn`t enjoyed the water in some way shape or form. He knew his little sister was okay without the water but Cas felt an undeniable pull to it. He watched as the other big three children avoided it to the best of their abilities but he liked the idea of pulling a friend and or loved in. When it came to felicity he knew she had a troubled past and he couldn`t help but want to save her in any way. When Caspian looked at the girl he saw compassion, intelligence, and beauty. He didnt see her as a prize like most men would have or even as someone to win over but as a friend and a companion.

He had to admit Felicity had a grasp over him that he had not felt in a long time, she was talented and a bit different from the other girls. it didn`t mean he didnt like her in fact Caspian found the girl to be something of a puzzle never the same things every day and that made him only like her ten times more. While he may not have been the child of Pluto`s first pick in a man he was bound and determined to win her over in the long run. He swore to his father that he would be everything and anything that the girl needed. A shoulder to cry on, and ear to listen, or even a friend to support her. Whatever she could possibly want and or need he would do for her. There was never a doubt in his mind that she would be his life long friend even if he never got to be her other half. One could say that the male was quite smitten with the child of pluto and whenever he thought about her he could feel his heart race.

By the time he realized how long he`d been under water he quickly pushed himself off the bottom of the pool and towards the top, his dark hair wet from the water and small droplets ran down his face. Almost instictivly he ran his hands through his hair messing it up slightly before swimming over the edge of the pool waiting for the female to show up. No one said Caspian wasn`t a show off and who could blame him for it? His blue eyes looked over the area hoping and praying to the gods that she`d show up.

Waiting For Superman      To Pick Her Up A swim... Just the thought of her being completely submerged under water was enough to make her tense up. Of course, it wasn't like she couldn't stay completely away from water. She took baths and showers and she had even gone swimming before, but it had felt wrong. The water and the air, two places she would never belong. It was best for her to stick to the shadows. Yet here she was, making her way to the baths for a swim. Mainly because it was with Caspian and as long as Caspian was there, the water wasn't so frightening anymore.  She approached the pool and was meet with Caspians sea blue eyes already looking in her direction. She couldn't help but smile at him. Not only was he attractive at the moment, but he was in his natural element. Like he fully belonged. Life as a child of the big three was never easy, Felicity could vouch for that. The enemy always sought them out first, again, Felicity could vouch for that. Being Saturns pawn. Gods, she was so stupid. It took her six months to fix that mistake and it ended up with her getting blasted with amnesia. Forgetting everyone and everything she cared about. Things were coming back now, she could almost pass for being a hundred percent healthy mentally now, granted, about as healthy as a demigod could be. Still, she was able to connect with Caspian, she enjoyed being with him. He made her feel safe. He wasn't the only guy like that. Remus and Edmund had made her feel safe too, but they had reasons for initiating those feelings, more feelings than being safe, within her. Remus was her boyfriend and Edmund was her best friend, well, at least he was before he joined Saturn, that was still a sore subject with her. But what was Caspian to her? Family? They were cousins, but it felt awkward to think of him in that sense. No, she knew she had a crush on him, and she hated it. She had already hurt Remus enough and she didn't want to do that to him again. Remus didn't deserve that.  "How's the water?" Felicity asked as she kicked off her sandals and threw off her cover up, revealing her blood red bikini. She step to the edge of the pool and sat on it, criss cross apple sauce style, not putting any part of her body in the water yet but this was she was near him and not towering over him like she would have been had she been standing.  Besides she was too busy mentally face palming herself. How's the water? What kind of greeting was that? She just wasn't use to initiating conversations. Besides, Caspian made her kind of nervous. She wanted to be the best she could be around him, which probably just made her look stiff and uncertain about everything, like she was walking on broken glass. She gave a soft sigh. These feelings needed to go away, or did she want them to? For all she knew she could be over thinking them. Maybe she saw him how she saw Edmund, someone she really cared about but probably wouldn't get past a hug with him. She had gotten confused about her feelings for Edmund and how thought there was the chance she had liked him in more of a platonic sense, but it turned out to just be a whirlwind of her grief due to missing him. But, if she saw Caspian the same way she saw Remus... Felicity didn't want to hurt anyone. Not anyone she cared about at least. She would gladly stab a number of people with her stygian iron sword, and she had before when Discordia had decided Felicity was her new little play thing. Dang, the legion had been crazy the past year, and now she wasn't even in the legion. Dishonorably discharged due to her past association with Saturn, despite having redeemed herself in the end, she still wasn't trusted enough to join the ranks daily. Her hand brushed over the SPQR tattoo on her forearm. Seven lines, that's all there ever would be. Seven. Not ten. She'd always stand out because of these lines. Felicity had always seemed to light up the room when she entered no matter his mood he always felt a tinge of comfort when she had shown up. Over the years the two had gotten close and he loved her in more than one way though he`d never actually tell her that. The more comfortable she was around him the happier he`d be. One could never tell what was in their future unless and Caspian didn`t wish to learn that he`d lose her. So for now he played his role in her life, the friend she talked to the one she trusted and even the protective figure at times. Caspian had been one of the few who`d stood by her through thick and thin, he trusted her with his life even if the others didn`t. Felicity was not mean spirited in nature any one who knew her could tell you that but she was a demi god, they made mistakes. How many times had the gods made mistakes and gotten away with it, no one not even Jupiter himself. When Felicity revealed her red bikini Caspian just smirked not bother to say the comment that came to his mind, he looked her over once then focused on her eyes and hair, she looked stunning no matter what she had on and he couldn`t help himself.

"The water? Oh you know cold, cool, actually room temperature." Caspian gave her a sly smile and moved closer so that he was next to her, he placed both hands onto the concrete surrounding the pool and rested his head against on them looking up at her with his baby blue eyes. When he noticed her hand move to brush over her tattoo a look of concern and sorrow covered his face, his lips turned into a thin line and he looked to her face one move. He could tell that she`d never be okay with what had happened in all honesty he would never be okay with the actions that had been taken. Caspian pulled himself out of the water letting it stay on his skin leaving droplets to fall every once in a while as he scooted closer till he wrapped one arm around her and pulled her close. "Felicity, something is bothering you. Would you like to talk about it now or after we go swimming? Just remember its never smart to go swimming with a muddied head." No matter what Caspian did he knew he`d never be able to take back what happened.

As a child Caspian was told that time would heal all wounds he knew that to be untrue himself. Nothing could ever heal the feeling of being mistreated or even healing the mistakes one person could have made, but he had faith in her that she would deal with it each day. Caspain let his fingers play idly with her brown hair, though he had to admit he was a little worried about the girl in his arms. No one would ever have his heart like she did and when she was upset you could bet your money that Cas would be doing his best in order to get her to be happy once more. "So tell me whats on your mind lovely, or I`ll be forced to push you in the water and run away before you can catch me." He gave her a playful nudge and smirked at her raising a brow.

Waiting For Superman      To Pick Her Up Felicity shivered slightly as the water dripped off Caspian and onto her dry skin as he held her. She was tempted to just blurt out everything and anything that was infiltrating her mind. But no, she really couldn't and shouldn't do that. Nothing against Caspian, just there was some things she would prefer to keep to herself. Caspian was her closest male friend, and at least he decided to call her a friend too, unlike some other male she knew. She gave a playful smile. "Please, if you push me into the water I'll just grab you with shadows. You don't want to play that game with me." Felicity said teasingly. She had been working on her powers more since the amnesia episode but she was still a bit rusty than what she use to be, not that she would ever admit that to anyone, especially not Caspian. He had his water, she had the shadows.  Felicity pushed herself off the edge, out of his arms, and into the water. It was refreshing, not too hot, not too cold, like Caspian said, room temperature. It was nice. Gods, when was the last time she had ever gone swimming? Had to be months, maybe a year even, or more. She pushed her head through the surface and used her hands to slick her hair back to keep it out of her face. She smiled at Caspian. "C'mon, I thought you wanted to swim Fish Boy." Felicity teased him with the names. Honestly, she had no idea where it came from. Maybe just trying to be silly after worrying him, which was never her intention. She didn't want to worry him or anyone. There was already so much to worry about now. With Saturn and the war, when was the time for them to just sit back and laugh? All the legionnaires needed that. Sure, training was important and necessary, but now that Felicity wasn't in the legion anymore she realized that training wasn't exactly the best way to spend all of your day. You were still human and needed to have fun at times. If you didn't have fun then you were just an emotionless fighting robot, maybe that was why the first cohort members were always so depressed. Caspian loved every moment he spent with Felicity. Her warm smile, the way her eyes sparkled and even her voice seemed to send a warm sensation down his spine. Caspian was in love with Felicity there was no doubt in his mind, but he knew better than anyone that their love would never come to pass. She had always been fancied by numerous men but only one had been able to win her over. Remus Stone had been the one to snag her from his grasps to win Felicity over before Caspian ever had a chance and though he hated knowing Felicity loved him he accepted it. Caspian would never ask her to love him if she could not give him her heart fully. Caspian was in love with the daughter of Pluto but he knew he needed to find someone who could love him the way he could love her. Felicity had become his best friend despite the feelings the two clearly shared for one another. As she spoke of grabbing him with shadows the male let out a slight chuckle, " That will be kind of hard if you`re underwater darling." of course Caspian would never really push her into the water he was far to much of a gentleman. The males blue eyes watched the girl as she pushed herself into the pool. He smiled slightly and leaned in watching her return to the surface. Her comment only made the male smile, "Fish Boy? Is that the best you got Princess?" To him she`d always be a princess, even if she was a daughter of Pluto. Cas had been raised to treat woman right even if his father had never been there for him. Caspian stood up and smiled at her before moving away he got near the edge of the pull and pushed himself off into the water letting his powers push him along until finally he came up shaking the water from his hair before running his hands over it to smooth his hair out. He smiled at her slightly enjoying the feeling of the water crashing over him and the way to flowed around his waist. He looked at her almost mocking her tone earlier. "Haven`t you learned by now to never mock a child of Neptune? We tend to be show offs." of course Caspian was one of those show offish children who most people hated with a burning intensified passion.
