She'd done it, with a little help from something once termed as bloodletting and currently called cutting, she'd managed to do away with her emotions. She wasn't a complete idiot about it, she avoided her wrists now. Not for lack of dozens of scars on her arms from training, but because it could injure her sword arm. She used to use a shield, but she'd decided to practice with a short sword after something Zidane had said. His own multi weapon preference, and it allowed her to use her shield with better proficiency. Obvious by her arms the short sword idea did not bode well, and with Josh's concern she bumped it down to a dagger in her off hand. She had started fighting with a dagger in hand again, attempting to work her way up to a short sword. She would participate in the coming war without a shield, something that had saved her numerous times in the last war. She didn't care much for surviving, to be honest she didn't particularly care about the war or anything. She'd released herself from the curse of her feelings, and was living day to day. Who won the war was of little consequence to her any more. Though she had made promises, and those she planned to keep. Even if she made them to herself. Promise 1: Fight for Saturn. Perhaps a premature promise she had made long ago, before she could see and feel his true nature. That type of person that despite their kind disposition sent a small chill up your spine. Promise 2: No one but me kills Josh. She'd spoken this aloud to many people, and even Simons was close to bringing him to her for that promise. Something she would praise, even if he hadn't succeed in his endeavor. It was the thought that counts, and he hadn't handed down punishment himself. Promise 3: Till death do us part. She had promised, though perhaps not official she had done it, to be with Josh until they died. She was his wife. Weather he loved her or not, she didn't care. She had made that promise, and she would keep it. It was a little surprising, that after she released her emotions she found the last promise to be something she felt the need to keep. It wasn't an emotional promise, unlike many of the other mistakes she had made. These promises where not made lightly, nor spur of the moment. These were spoken after thought, and heart went into them. So she would not forsake them, even in her current state. It was only a few hours walk down the mountain, and eventually she would have to learn the land and battle on it. Rhiannon took a camlepack with her, courtesy of a five finger discount, and walked her way down to the city. She cracked her neck at the entrance to the Garden of the Hesperides. She'd made this run before, but it was always a bit dangerous, poisonous multi headed dragon and all. Still it did keep it's giant body wrapped around that tree at all times. Rhiannon cast a speed spell on herself, she had a dagger but no larger weapon to defend herself with. Thanks for all those late night runs of the death trap of an obstacle course. With a smirk on her face as she started. The dragon took a moment to realize she had entered the dominion he was meant to protect, and lunged a head at her with vicious teeth glaring in the orange sun light. Jump, turn, duck, tumble everything she learned from that blasted obstacle course and with years of practicing with her Demigod senses. ADHD some called it, a life savor is what Rhiannon called it. Eventually she tumbled out the other side of the garden, as the dragon seemed unpleasantly annoyed at her repeated disturbance. Breathing heavy she went to pull the cord of her camlepack to find part of it had been rotted through by the poison. A slushy thump, that sloshed and hissed ever so quietly could be heard as he dropped it to the ground. Useless. The first thing she got in town was a bottle of water, chugging it down in the humid night air. Summer was coming, she worked terribly in hot weather. After drinking another half a bottle she looked around. She could teleport back to her room in a seconds notice with the rune stone in her pocket. It was roughly sewn into her pocket to ensure it wouldn’t fall out on her trek to San Francisco and only took her back to her room. Good enough though, she hoped that hellhound was still hidden in the shadows where she told it to. Her own body guard she supposed, to avoid being kidnapped like certain other leaders. | Don’t get too close, it’s dark inside. It’s where my demons hide. They say it's what you make, I say it's up to fate. It's woven in my soul, I need to let you go. Your eyes, they shine so bright. I wanna save that light. I can't escape this now, unless you show me how. Tag: OPENWords: 810Notes: Yup, she's that insane |
