Remus had a lot on his mind, between the Saturn stuff, Felicity and her issues, and the quest. There were times that helping to run this place was not easy at all. It was one of those times he almost wished he was just a regular legionnaire. Almost. There was still the fact that he loved his job, possibly a little too much. Blame the Mars blood in him for that one. Or just his natural temperament. Whatever it was didn’t really matter. Though there was a point where even Remus had to accept that he was working himself too hard. And since he couldn’t exactly spend time with Felicity at the moment, he decided to head to New Rome for a bit. That and maybe he did have a little bit of business there.

There was a problem with New Rome, though, that Remus had never much liked. That would be the pesky rule of no weapons. As a child of Mars, his weapons were with him at all times. Except when he had to go to New Rome. Stupid safety precautions. Sure, it made sense. But that didn’t mean he had to like it. So he went about his business there as quickly as possible, eager to get back to the principia and Aurum and Argentum. And his weapons. Because Remus Stone without at least a knife or a gladius was simply wrong. It was like not having an arm.

So the minute he was done, he didn’t dilly dally around to chat with people – like anyone would really want to talk to a guy known for his attitude problem – but left the city to head back to the military encampment that was Camp Jupiter. Though he didn’t take the straight way, along the road that most people took. Instead he walked along the woods, listening to the sound of some monster deep within the woods, barely covered by the much nearer sound of birdsong. All in all, it was a nice enough day. He adjusted his purple camp shirt where it was getting creased and slowed to a stroll. No harm in taking a little time to gather his thoughts. And that was something he sorely needed.

Vivian had been checking around in New Rome who would be willing to betray the gods. She never asked directly, she used her own pain and sorrow as a mask, she commented stuff to people using that mask so they even pity her and in that way commented to her what was in their hearts. It was something easy and sometimes even funny. There were so many demigods and legacies that were upset at the gods, and some of them would be willing to betray them only to be able to go out and live in the mortal world, well that wasn't the best excuse, but it would help Saturn and that was what mattered.

But one night while she was sleeping, Saturn came to visit her again. She informed him all what she had learnt and checked around and he gave her her first big task... killing Remus Stone.
Vivian felt a horrible feeling in her stomach, Remus was a praetor, he was a good soldier and also her Michael's favorite brother. Michael had been so proud of Remus, always talking about him and telling her that he would some day lead the camp in the right way, just because he was a great leader. He asked Saturn why he was asking her to do that. She knew she wasn't allowed to ask such things, but she needed to know, she wasn't going to kill an innocent camper, not if she could avoid it.

Saturn's reason was more than enough for her to kill him. She had already spoken to Felicity before, she told her that Remus was under control, that she could control him and his actions... in that same occasion she sworn to Pluto's daughter that she would kill Remus if he ever got in Saturn's way. So when Saturn told her what his goddess spy heard about him, she knew he was a threat and he needed to be killed. She agreed on killing him and as soon as she woke up she cleared her mind of all doubts about it and started thinking on the best way to do it.

That day, she had been doing some stuff in the city, as always behind the mask of the still broken woman, the powerless Vivian. Suddenly she saw Remus walking into the City. She decided to follow him for a while. then she came up with an idea of how to complete her task. She went to the Camp and took some weapons from the armory, she was glad no one was there or she would have had to deceive the weapons guard. Then she hid the weapons near the woods, a perfect place which was close to where Terminus was, but yet far enough so the armless god didn't mess with her plans.

Then she went back to New Rome, Remus was still where she had last seen him. then when he walked back to Camp, she did it too. Not close to him, she didn't want him to see her, not yet at least.
He passed Terminus and then walked to the woods. Would that be a coincidence or for once she had been lucky? She waited a couple of minutes and then she walked back to camp, passing by Terminus. Then she walked to the woods, first to the place where she had left her weapons, then she followed Remus's steps.

It wasn't that difficult to do so, he was a heavy, musculed man, so his footsteps were easy to find on the ground. She wasn't a perfect archer, in fact he was better with the gladius than with a bow, but it was her best chance... to do it at a good distance, an arrow directly to his back, it would dig deep into his flesh and would rip his heart. He wouldn't really suffer for more than a minute or two. She silently aimed at his back, but suddenly she felt it bad, Remus was a great warroir and he didn't deserve to die like that, a good fight, he deserved that.

SHe breathed deeply and let the arrow go, it flew fast and passed right by his head, next to his left ear. "I was waiting for you... Remus Stone..." she said and immediately her face changed, it was a confident one, she wasn't going to show him her pain or her personal doubts. He was only going to kill him, giving him the right to try to defend himself. If he was as good as his half brother, Michael, was... then he would survive and she would die that day. If not... well he would see Michael that very day.

The woods were a good place to get some relaxation time in. Be it going into them and finding something to fight. Which come to think of it, sounded like an odd way to relax unless one took into account the fact that he was a son of Mars, god of war. Or just times like now, when he was taking a walk and just enjoying the shade of the trees. Admittedly, it was a hot one. The sun was out full blast and Apollo seemed to be enjoying the smell of well baked demigods and legacies because he certainly wasn’t letting up on them today. But that was fine with him. They were in California, after all. They couldn’t really expect much different. It had always been this way since he first got here at least, and likely wasn’t about to change. But he liked that about this place. It was predictable.

Until recently. The war two years ago had started that one. The Titans were not meant to rise. They were not supposed to bother innocent people either. Or turn his girlfriend into a huge threat to the camp. Or any of this. That he knew of, they had not threatened war in all the ages since the last war. And now they were facing it twice in just a two year span? It just didn’t seem fair. Then again, the world was not a fair place. Any number of people here could prove that with the example of their very lives. Actually, probably all of them could. He thought of Lyn. The ten year old seemed so innocent and cheerful, but even she was proof that not everything was fair all the time, right? She was away from her home for the first time, away from people she cared about. He felt a little bad for her, thrown into this totally different world from what she was used to. But she was handling it well. He couldn’t say he wasn’t proud of her.

His battlefield reflexes kicked in and disturbed his train of thought. Thank the gods for being ADHD. He paused and looked around. He wasn’t alone. He just knew he wasn’t. But then again, that wasn’t surprising in these woods. There were all sorts of creatures here. Could have just been a satyr plotting to bum some money or food off him. They did have a nasty habit of that, useless creatures. So he went back to walking, though he kept a close ear out for anything strange. Whatever or whoever it was, they were smart about it. So likely not a satyr. Either way, he didn’t like it. He was weaponless, after all. Not that he hadn’t had training to fight hand to hand, but he still didn’t like facing an unseen opponent. Who did?

That was roughly when he heard the faint twang of a bowstring. He started to turn and duck at the same time just as the arrow whizzed past his head and imbedded in a tree. The odd thing was, it was not at an angle that would have hit him had he not moved. So it was intentional. But who would do that? Not a moment later, his question was answered.

The older girl looked familiar. He’d seen her before, that was for sure. He frowned, his brow furrowing. “Well, that’s generally not the best way to start a conversation. I’m assuming you’re not here to discuss the weather.” Yes, that was it. Vivian was her name. He remembered her devastated face from the aftermath of the Battle of Orthys. She had been one of many to lose a lot in that war. He couldn’t remember what exactly her story was, but he figured now was not the time to be asking. Not when she was obviously feeling aggressive and he was unarmed. So it was time for that old method he usually avoided. Battlefield negotiation. Normally he wasn’t one to miss a fight, but she didn’t seem one to keep it clean either. “So, you got my attention. Now what do you want?”

The arrow flew right by Remus's head, just as Vivian planned it to do. It was just a warning, she had decided not to kill him in a cowardly way. Maybe she was a traitor to camp and Rome, but she wasn't a filthy coward and she would never give a son of Mars such a death. Even when she was a traitor and worked for Saturn as his assasin in this case, she had respected Mars too much to kill one of his children like that, so she would give Remus the chance to defend himself. Maybe some of the ones that are with Saturn would tell her to kill him fast, not to threat her victory and success of the mission, but she had a bit of honor left and she was going to do her way, not theirs.

He looked at her, he was kind of surprised and maybe he had recognized her, he wasn't a lot more younger than she was, only three years. Back in her camp days, when she was dating his brother, she met him once while she went to watch one of Michael's cohort's trainings, Remus was there too. She remembered he was really good, maybe the best in the cohort along with Michael. Then that fight wasn't going to be easy at all.

His comment about the weather was kind of apropiate. Weather was always changing and it could be taken in many methaphorical ways. So when he said that, she smiled a bit more, sighed and shruged in a absentmindly way. "Well... we could talk about weather you know? It is slowly changing, don't you feel it? All along camp and the City... weather isn't same than some months ago, but it feels like the weather 2 years ago..." Well maybe Saturn wouldn't like that comment from her, she was telling Remus, confirming to the praetor in a very methaphoric way that the same that happened to Camp 2 years before was going to happen once more those days.

Then she dropped her bow to the ground, a feet from where she was standing. She wasn't going to need it, she was going to use her gladius. "Now... about what I want..." she smirked in an almost insane smirk. She lifted her right hand and grabbed something from the back of her neck, then she pulled it up. It was her sword. Then she lowered her arm with her sword in her hand and she tilted her head just a bit. "well... I want your life... either if you are willingly giving it to me or if I have to take it by force..." She said and walked some steps to her right side, she was studying the best way to attack him. for sure he would know all what Michael knew.

"mmm... how would it be better..." she was mostly thinking if she should attack him like that, or maybe she should give him a dagger, he was unarmed, but a camper's body was also and arm and in Mars' kids cases they were deathly weapons if they needed to be one, so maybe she shouldn't give him that dagger. After all she had already given him some leverage by warning him that she was going to kill him. "how will you want it to be, Praetor? easy or difficult way?" she asked and stopped looking at him, with all her muscles ready to attack when it was necessary, she only hoped Remus wasn't a cowerd, she hoped he didn't decide to run for his life, because then she would give him a coward's death.

Well, this was an interesting surprise. So much for pleasant walk. But instead he was facing off against an apparently not too happy New Roman. Great. Oh, and she had some philosophical words of wisdom for him too. How nice. The meaning was not lost on him. His brow creased as he watched her closely. “Yes, funny how that is. I have noticed. A little, dare I say, familiar.” He could still remember the months leading up to the Battle of Orthys like it was yesterday. The flurry of carefully hidden panic. The missing campers who had joined the other side. It was not a pleasant time. He had been a centurion at the time, and even with that position, there had been a lot of stress to deal with. How he would be facing possibly the same way from the angle of a preator. And already he was seeing the difference it made. When Jason, Felicity, and Tessa all ganged up on him about his terrible all work and no rest habits, he knew it had to be bad. And he acknowledged that it was. Just he felt so much more responsible now. Each person lost to Saturn’s cause was a personal failure, each piece of bad news hurt him. He couldn’t fail this camp. He couldn’t.

And that started with not dying here. Though her dropping her bow was a good sign, sort of. Oh yes, there was the sword. Well, it would have been hard to fight close range with a bow anyway. Good for her she seemed to at least know what she was doing. He would have been disappointed having to face off against a novice. Hic cocky side came out and he raised an eyebrow, folding his hands behind him as if to say he didn’t even need them. Pride was a terrible thing that he had to admit he did suffer from. “Why am I not surprised. Facing someone unarmed alone with your own array of weapons. I’m not impressed with your style, but that’s your choice.” In his opinion, she was showing some level of cowardice by attacking an unarmed person. Albeit she did alert him to her presence before, which did count in her favor. But considering she was trying to end his life, he didn’t want to give her too much credit. After all, was it possible to not take a murder attempt personally? “Well, you see, I’m rather attached to living, so that might be problematic for your efforts. So I’m going to have to go with the by force option. Besides, much more interesting that way, right?”

Remus shook his head. “How? You mean to tell me you are flying from the seat of your pants? That is the worst strategy I have ever heard.” Giving your would be killer a hard time about their strategy probably wasn’t the best way to not get killed, but then again, since when was Remus one to take the easy route? Which made answering her question all the easier. He smirked. “Well, I always told myself I’d only go down fighting. Let’s see if you have any skill behind that sword.” Time for the fun to begin.

Vivian was still tilting, still smirking, still hiding her pain and oubts in the deeper part of her heart. She noticed hos his muscles tightened from the anxiety, but then they were relaxed, well as much as Mars kin could do it when someone was holding a sword in front of them. He knew the arts of war and for sure he would try to get some advantage from that. but then his words, she stared at him and then her smirk turned into a soft smile, for a second he could see the real Vivian, but a second was too short, then her smile curved a bit more and Vivian was covered by a mask of herself.

"oh, come on Praetor, don't tell me that you are trying to making me feel bad about me having a sword and you having none..." she shook her head and kept the cold smile on it, then walked couple steps to a better open space, she would need the space to move and kill. "If I were facing a Venus child or maybe a Bacchus one... well yeah, I would feel bad, but you... you are a Mars child, you guys are more than just soldiers, you guys train each part of your body as a weapon... so I don't feel bad, in fact in this equation, I am the one who has no leverage..."

She smiled at him again and felt the handle of her sword, she moved her wrist a bit checking if it was ready to be used or not. "besides, I could have killed you with the arrow... but Mars kids don't deserve to die like that... they deserve a warriors death." She remembered how Michael loved to say that he would only go down with a sword in hand, that he would make his father proud even in death, that when he went to face his final judgement, he would be holding his sword.

Then his voice brought back her attention to him. "I'm so glad you had chosen that one, it would be a pity to kill you as a common camper, Mars will feel proud of his son..." she smiled and maybe if Remus put a lot of attention, he would have had noticed a small pebble of pain in her voice, a slight and already evaporating tear in the corner of her eyes. She could control her mind, but her heart was still beating for a Mars kid, for her michael and having Remus in front of her brought her a lot of painful memories. "all Mars kids want to die in the same useless way..."

She started walking slowly at Remus, holding her sword and watching at every movement he could do.

Remus growled. The last thing he was okay with was being pinned a coward. “Make you feel bad? Hardly. I could take you easily. Weapon or no. You’re the one who should be worrying. I’m just wondering what has gotten into that little brain of yours to think up this idea. I get the idea it’s not fun little training, though I’d be happy to teach you to be a better fighter. First thing though is you might want to not start the conversation with an arrow. Just saying.” He nodded slightly at her assessment of his and his siblings’ fighting style and, well, lifestyle. It was refreshing to hear praise. Maybe that was just his ego acting up, but it was still nice to hear. Admitting that she didn’t have the advantage even with a weapon here. Good, good, at least she wasn’t delusional. “Good to hear you know something.”

Mars kids deserve a warrior’s death. He thought about thanking her, but then there was the fact that she was aiming to kill him that sort of stopped any thanking in its tracks. Details. “I should think so. Though at the hands of a traitor is a little questionable. Not that I believe I’ll be dying today. No, you don’t have a big enough army with you.” he smirked.

“You try and kill me like a common camper and you will definitely lose. There is nothing common about me. Or my siblings. But I’m glad you seem to be at terms with that.” There was something in her voice though, something off. Like she was holding something back. Why that would be the case given the circumstances, though, he really wasn’t sure. She had the guts to try and kill not just another camper but a praetor, so why was she hesitating. Maybe morals caught up with her. Probably not though, by the look in her eyes. She meant what she was doing, every bit of it. Why, he wasn’t sure. Maybe it was the darker side of being Roman. “If you’re waiting for me to say ‘et tu, Btute’ it might be a while,” he muttered. Though the irony was there. There were indeed times he compared himself to the caesars of old. Healthy mindset? Probably not. But that was how he was. He did like power. And this girl was assuming she could strip him not only of power but of life. At chance.

He rolled his eyes, though he sunk into a ready position. “Will you shut your trap already? If you want to kill me, let’s see you try. Unless you’re too chicken.”

Vivian looked at Remus and smiled at him. It wasn't a nice smile, but a self confident insane smile. She was sure of her words and also of his, he was after all the best warrior in Camp, so this was going to be a life or death combat, but she didn't care about her life, she only cared about Saturn getting his hands on whatever he wanted so he could finally kill the gods and human kind got rid of them once and for all. She was also aware that even when she had trained for years with Michael, she was no match for a Mars kid, she would have to use some of her mother's gift, not too honorable, but it was ok, she had made her peace with that fact.

"A traitor?... maybe you see me like that now, but... maybe the future generations would see me as a savior, as a revolutionary one that fought against her own kind to bring them freedom from the opresing gods..." she said in an innocent way, but then smiled at him in the same insane way. He mentioned there was nothing common about him or his siblings. Well he was totally right about it and she had already pointed that out. She was well aware of it, that she will have to gather all what she knew about combat and war to be able to be at Remus' fighting level.

The wind blew through the branches of the trees above them, and Vivian didn't know if it was good or bad, if that would be any of the gods that were going to help Remus and kill her on that spot. But then she looked to the branches and the leaves moving with the wind and then smiled again and looked back at Remus. She knew that the gods wouldn't help him, in fact that was why she was there in that moment. the gods didn't care about their children... not a bit. They only used demigods as weapons and that was it, well, then they wouldn't care in that moment if she fought Remus, not even if either or both of them died.

"you're not Cesar... son of Mars... don't think so high of yourself..." she smiled and then when he told her to just start, she sprinted against him with her sword kept closed to her body, she was going to use the sword as a part of her body not an extenssion. But the moment she got right in front of him, she used her speed, her mother granted her with that too. she changed her course and spinned on her left foot and was going to hit Remus' back neck with her elbow...

Remus had never much liked Vivian, what little he did know of her. Then again, it was arguable that he didn’t like anyone. Maybe all of about three people in this place made his list of people he could stand being around. And, well, the girl in front of him was not on that list. He huffed. She seemed to think highly of herself. “Are you really that stupid, or did you forget that your little team you’re serving sort of lost royally last time? No, I’ve heard what’s going around. And I’m going to stop it. Revolutionary savior my ass. You are an idiot and a coward. The only thing you will be remembered for is just another number of casualty in this war you are helping instigate. Which we will win.”

Gods, she was creepy, with that insane smile that told him she was prepared to lay down her life for what she thought was a good cause. Which it wasn’t by any stretch of the imagination. This whole situation was bad. Not that he ever turned down a fight, but he was facing an armed crazy person. Like in need of a straightjacket kind of crazy. Who worked for Saturn. Such a winning combination. Yeah, not at all.

He noticed the trees swaying in the wind and thought for sure the gods must be with him on this one. A sign from Jupiter himself. They would not let the one standing up for them fall in battle like this. They favored Rome. At least his father must be favoring him in this fight. He was the patron of Rome! To let Rome fall to the heathens that called themselves Saturn’s army was unthinkable.

He laughed at her comment. “Don’t think so highly of myself? Why, if that’s not the pot calling the kettle black. You’re as egotistical and arrogant as anyone I’ve ever met. You and your championing the titan’s cause. You’re going to die in this, you know that? I hope you’ve come to terms with your life, because it won’t last much longer.” He challenged her to try and try she did. Training against someone armed was one thing, but fighting someone who wanted to kill you while you were unarmed was a whole different ballpark. And this was his first time at it.

He was able to step out of the way at first, wondering why she wasn’t using the sword right off the bat. Maybe that was just his tactic, but he liked to use whatever advantage he had. Unlike her, it seemed. Unless she was holding back for now. He nearly got out of the way of her elbow, which nicked his neck and jarred him for a moment. He didn’t let it get the better of him though. He aimed a sharp knee at her side, trying to put her off balance instead.

For Vivian it was confussing to listen to Remus. She knew that at some point he was right, at some points even her mother would be on that guy's side, for few reasons she would be agains her daughter and it was mostly because she would be on the wrong side, she wouldn't be working for something good, in fact she was working against the Gods! She had hated Saturn last war, him and all those who had been with him! But she hated the gods too, she hated Jupiter with all his pompous attitutde about everything! She hated Mars... he was suppossed to protect the camp, to protect his children! and he did nothing when hundreds of campers were murdered... when Michael was mudered!

She hated Pluto, Mercury, Venus, Juno, Minerva... well all of them! None of them helped them last war. And she wasn't sure that her mother would have done anything for them. They won, but that could have been not her, but the years of training that campers had. So why should she be loyal and faithful to gods that were never there, that never cared about their children, their legacies. why did they were so selfish!? She wasn't on the wrong side as Remus claimed, she was on the right one, and she knew it!

"Think about it Stone! Gods don't care about us... last war we won because of our training, because of our immortal will... not because of the gods! did you see any of them among us that day? anyone, but Mors... because he was here, claiming the souls of all the brave soldiers that fell deathly injured to the ground..."
She said that with hate in her eyes, but also with pain and sorrow. She really believed on that, at least in that moment her doubts vanished for a while. She knew that maybe he could be a bit smarter and joing the right side, if he joined Saturn everything would be easier, he would be with the one he loved, he could save so many lives!

But it seemed that he wasn't going to do it. Maybe he was already too damaged to recognize the truth and the right way. She breathed deeply and shook her head. SHe really wanted to spare his life, maybe only because Michael talked so well about him, maybe because he was a fellow camper and once she also fought side by side with him. But now she knew it wouldn't be possible. When he mentioned that she would die, she smiled, but this time her smile was soft, sad and even tender. She knew she wasn't going to survive that war, she was counting with it, at last she would be on the other side and maybe she would be able to see Michael again.

"I know that, Son of Mars... I've been dead for some time already... so it wouldn't change that much... the question here is if you are ready to leave this world?" she asked and attacked, she felt her elbow connecting but only some milimeters of his skin, he moved fast, that was something implied in them, children of the god of War. Then he turned while she was still moving with the end of the spinning move, he lifted his knee and connected to her side, she felt how a rib broke and just gasped. She jumped backwards and felt a trunk on her back. SHe smirked again at him, again with that insane smile of hers.

"well done Stone! a broken rib isn't that bad, right? Will you do the same to Felicity when she finally gives our Lord what he asked from her?" she then ran again towards him and when she was close enough to stab him with her sword, she didn't, she ducked and slide over the ground with her sowrd ready to slash Remus' right leg with it. She wasn't going to cut it, just slash it, she wanted him to get weaker and also wanted a bit more time to talk to him.

Vivian had lost her mind. It was official. He’d always thought poorly of her, mostly because he thought poorly of a lot of people, but this was a shiny new reason to hate her. To side with Saturn? One would have to be mentally unstable to do something like that. Didn’t she remember the loss of the last war, the swath of destruction Saturn cut then? It was just going to be the same this time! So she really was the world’s biggest fool, save maybe Rhia. Maybe. It was a close call. Both females were certifiably insane in his opinion.

He laughed as though he were the insane one though. “And you honestly think that Titans do care? The gods are a thousand times better than the Titans, you idiot. And you know full well the gods were incapacitated during the war. They couldn’t come! Just shut up. I know full well they would have fought alongside us if they could have.” Right? He trusted his dad at least. Some of the other gods maybe not as much.

Oh gods. He had never been one for romantic stuff, but he knew what she was talking about. No doubt it was still mourning the death of Michael two years ago. He wasn’t a fan of all the death from the last war either, especially not his family. But he knew Michael and Vivian had been together. Which meant it couldn’t have been an easy loss for her. Apparently it still wasn’t. But he didn’t have a lot of time to ponder it as she was already attacking. He barely managed to get out of the way. He thanked the gods that at least it seemed his father might be favoring him in this fight as his knee connected with her side and he heard a nasty pop. Good. She needed to be taken down a notch or two.

Though when she mentioned Felicity, he felt a stab of guilt worse than any sword cut. What would come of Felicity? He couldn’t hurt her. He couldn’t bare that. No, he’d have to leave her case to Jason. There was no way he could handle giving her any sort of punishment, even if she did side with Saturn. The memory of which only opened new wounds. How could she betray the camp like that? Betray him like that? She was his weakness. He tried not to let it show that Vivian had gotten to him, not so early on.

The trouble was, she’d affectively distracted him. The comment about Felicity had set his mind off entirely and he didn’t even see the attack coming until it was too late. He tried to move but he felt the hot pain of imperial gold slicing into his leg. He cursed in Latin and called her something rather unpleasant. It was times like these that it was good Lyn wasn’t around. Last thing he needed was to teach her how to fluently curse people. He could feel the blood running down the side of his leg and he grit his teeth. It wasn’t the pain that bothered him but the fact that she’d landed a blow. So he did the only Remus thing to do: he launched himself at her and aimed to strangle her.

The moment her sword connected with his jeans and flesh had been for Vivian a mix of a lot of feelings. On a hand she had the crazy pleasure of hitting him, slashing his flesh, knowing she was weakening a very tough and strong enemy, that if she could connect one, then she could connect other blows of her sword too. The say was right, make a god bleed and he won't be a god anymore, well Remus wasn't a god, but had been considered the closest to Mars, and she just slashed his leg. But on other hand, she felt bad, she knew deep in her heart that she was doing bad, that she should stop in that moment, give her sword to Remus and give up. Why she couldn't do it?!

She didn't know it, but that crazy love for fight and blood wasn't her job only, it was also Discordia's touch on her heart and soul. Since the day before that one, when Discordia had tolked to her, she had felt that strife in her, then she saw Lilith there, she had heard everything, so she couldn't let her go and tell others, so she chased her, she fought the girl and finally she killed her. the poor girl tried to defend herself, to fight back, but a weak soul like her couldn't do it well. She only managed to stabbed her left arm with her dagger... well maybe someday she will see her again, on the other side.

And in that moment, fighting Remus, her heart felt the same way, pity, sorry, pain, but hate, revange and strife. So she was going to use that, to let the Titan win, to take Remus who was the biggest threat in camp for Saturn's army. "I know!, Titans don't care!... but at least no more gods messing with us! no more life, no more anything!!"

She turned to face him again, to attempt another slash when she felt his hands around her throat. She gasped and lost balance on purpose, to try to make him lose the grip on her neck. she hit her back on the ground and a rock hit her injured arm so she dropped her sword. "let... me go..." she was commaning Remus, glaring at him. She placed both hand on his hands, trying to do something, but she was only capable to scratch with her nails his steel grip. She wrapped her legs around his hips, also attempting to pull him back, away from her, but again his body, his muscles were made of steel! Then she lowered one of her hands, looking for something to help herself!

There it was... the dagger she kept from Lilith, it was in the hilt of her belt, she had almost forgotten about it, until that moment. she grabbed the handle of it and pulled it up. She couldn't aim well, because of the lack of oxygen in her lungs and brain didn't allow her to do it accurately. She stabbed Remus right on the back, she attempted to stab him in the right back bone, the place where if you stabbed a man, you could cut his back and dig through his heart in a single move, he would have died there, in one move and he wouldn't be in pain or stress anymore. But the lack of oxygen... well she only stabbed him on the back, maybe got a lung too, but she didn't know if it had worked or not, she didn't feel him loosening the grip.

Shoot. He couldn’t let the crazy girl win! He bit at his cheek at the pain and snarled at her. She was insane. “No more life? Are you even listening to yourself? Because you’re right! You’ll die in this war, if not today! War brings death, you idiot!” He was in pain, but since when was that new? He was under the impression that you couldn’t be a proper Roman without knowing how to deal with pain. And this was just a small cut. Nothing drastic. Not yet at least. He’d be fine.

Her, on the other hand. He grasped his hands around her thin neck and held fast. A wicked smile came to his face. “You want no more life so badly? You picked the right fight then.” She lost balance, which he figured was triumph enough. Soon he had her pinned to the ground. And the next thing he knew he had her legs wrapped around him, which was making this all the more challenging. He growled, “Oh no you don’t. I am not losing to you, crazy idiot.” She was making this very difficult, but he kept his hands clenched around her throat. She would pay for this. She intended to kill him, so the least he could do was leave her at life’s edge.

And then the pain really hit. He hadn’t been paying attention to her hands, which had been a mistake. He felt the pain blossom from a point in his back and he immediately let go of her throat, arcing away from the stab. He yelled out in pain, though it was interrupted by a cough. A cough that produced blood. One of his lungs was punctured. Curses. Curse her to the Underworld, to Tartarus. He got up and stumbled back, reaching behind him. His hand came back soaked with blood and he could tell that his clothes weren’t much better. There was no sign of the knife or dagger or whatever it had been though. So it had either fallen out or she still had it. Great. He really could have used a weapon right about now. He coughed again, into his hands, only slicking them with more blood. Not good, not good at all. Internal bleeding was never a good thing. He needed help, but he couldn’t exactly get to it, not way out here like this. He cursed her in Latin and prepared to continue fighting then, resigned to whatever the Fates had in mind for him.

Vivian felt the strength of Mars in the hands of his son, it was amazing how strong the kids of Mars could be, if she wasn't a demigod, then her neck would have broken seconds ago, but she wasn't our of danger, his hands could also break her neck in any second. so she grabbed the dagger and stabbed the praetor on the back. After that he let go off her neck and she rolled to a side to get away from him. She was coughing, feeling dizzy with the lack of air and now the huge amount of it getting to her head and lungs.

But then she listened him coughing, she looked up and looked the blood coming from his mouth, she smirked and got up once more with the dagger in her hand. It was good to see that the praetor wasn't more than other camper and as all of them would die, just that in his case, he would die that day and by her hand. She smirked in that crazy way she had, the one that only a person who had lost everything, even sanity, could perform. "the difference between you and me, Stone..." she said checking the best way to attack him.

"is that you fear dead... you still have a lot of things in your life that you'd miss if you'd die, but I have nothing left... so I don't fear dead at all!" She laughed and took small knives from her boots and start throwing them against Remus, at first like a game, she knew he would duck in time to miss the first ones, but the other four were perfectly aimed and with the perfect strength to hit his body and rip his flesh to stab him as a common target.

The first well thrown dagger was thrown at his left shoulder exactly to hit in his joint. The next one was aimed to his right wrist, again hitting in the joint, so he couldn't use a shield or a sword, not even in the after life. Then the third one was aimed to his collar bones and when it hits him for sure she ripped a main vain or arthery, that would make him bleed out faster. then she just ran against him and pinned him against other tree. "there is nothing that campers or you praetor can do to stop Lord Saturn from coming..." SHe kissed the corner of his mouth and was about to stab his chest when she heard some beastie sounds coming closer so she got distracted and fastly stabbed him, she didn't know but missed the heart, her blade only bite his heart and would kill him along with the rest of the wounds she made on him. but what were those beastie... metallic sounds?
