Kvothe Von Biermann faced the challenged he fought against since he was old enough to read. His arm reached above his head to try once again only to fail. The young demigod had to face facts and facts were that he just was to short to reach the item of his desire. That feeling of greed took to him like a child in a candy store. He needed to have that book at all cost, but it was clearly placed to high for a eleven year old red head like Kvothe was. Kvothe's mind raced with possible solutions. The first solution that came to his mind was to climb the book shelf to get the book, but the last time he did that the librarian threaten to throw him out and rip up his library card. The book was his current most desire, but their was no need to eliminate more possibilities for the short term gain of one book.
Kvothe's face became more frustrated and indifferent as his mind continue to cross out the possibilities. The young magic using demigod could use a spell to levitate himself, but the last time he attempted that he broke a ceiling. Kvothe could always use a spell to make the book come to him. This might seemed to be the best option to most magic users, but Kvothe lacked the finesse to only take one book off the shelf. More then likely, all of the books in the area would come off the shelf and the librarian would defiantly throw him out then. The only other solution he could find was for him to go ask someone to help him get it down, but that led to the possibility of someone else coming over and taking the book before he could get back here with help. That truly would be unacceptable in the young boy's mind. That left only one option left.
Kvothe approach the bookshelf carefully and started to bounce a bit getting his legs loose. The demigod was going to have to attempt to jump off the ground and get it with his physical abilities and not rely on his magic. Kvothe loathed having to rely on physical abilities to get stuff done. If one would ever ask him if magic makes things easier he would always respond 'Magic doesn't make things easier, just gives a person more options for the same problem. I just like the magical options more then the physical ones.' Kvothe jumped up and almost got the black leather bound book. Just a little bit more Kvothe thought and then he caught movement around him and turned to see what it was.
