Pluto was not usually used to visiting the mortal world but, ever since the king of the underworld agreed to get to know the demigods before passing judgement on them, he found himself in the woods. The place was dark and he liked it most compared to his lonely underworld. It was now spring time which meant his wife proserpina was spending time above ground to be with her mother. Pluto loved proserpina and to have her gone left him feeling lonely but the god would also have a couple mortal lovers but the most faithful to his wife unlike his brother Jupiter who seemed to love the females. It didn't make sense why Jupiter wanted so many mortal women especially when Juno would get rid of them and then the women would be coming down to see him. Pluto say it as the ultimate thing was that in the end pluto got the women. The 'king of hell' liked the set up in some way however just like Jupiter's women also went to the underworld, Pluto's women also was not a good thing also because then proserpina would torment him and give him trouble about his affair but really he didn't care. Pluto wore his soul suit and was wandering around the forest. A couple ghosts followed him thinking the underworld leader would not spot them "foolish souls. I do see you and you are merely annoying me. I am here to avoid mors, with you being here you're could create more paperwork for me and you know how i feel about that." pluto spoke.

It was true that Pluto tried to avoid paperwork and it seemed when Mars got angry or someone bothered to disrespect the war god, Pluto was stuck with clean up and paperwork. A lot of it was done by mors himself but pluto was aslo in charge of deciding where they went and This was just boring paper work. Pluto would have much rather be training his daughter Felicity or just tormenting that Edmund kid because he threw a dagger at the god. The king of the underworld would like to see him suffer all eternity but seemed like many people cared for the soulless creature. It made people dislike him but he didn't worry about it too much because in the end the demigods would end up in his underworld and in his realm he was king so he would still get to do as he pleased. So it didn't matter what the other demigods thought. Pluto was the ultimate victor.

Gunnar had been lurking in the shadows. While lurking was something that was normal for him, in the shadows with only the whites of his eyes showing, that was what he did. Being creepy by popping out of the shadows at random other legacies and nearly making them wet themselves, that was always a rather fun past time. Just the other day he managed to put a kid into cardiac arrest because Gunnar had walked out of the shadow right in front of him. In his defense he hadn’t meant to scare the boy, but if he was weak enough to wet his pants, then he probably deserved the trip to the infirmary. Gunnar brushed something off of his black slacks as he then rolled up the sleeves of his Tommy Hilfiger shirt. He pulled his tie loose as he then grabbed the shoe polish and a rag, Gunnar got to work on his shoes. By the time he was finished, they looked perfect and shined, glinting a reflection of Gunnar’s face. It was easy for him to keep his clothes in impeccable condition. He didn’t get to looking this good by throwing his clothes and things about like a child on a temper tantrum. No, these shoes cost up upwards of a grand when he purchased them. Gunnar wanted to make sure he looked great; he couldn’t be a killer and not look good while doing it.

But as it was, training was done with for the day and as he slid through the shadows, Gunnar found that a few people made sure to stay out of his path. His chin tilted upwards as he walked, he didn’t much care about the fact that he looked down on most people, not that they were better than he was (which in most cases he was in fact better than those whom he looked down on), he was simply taller so it was only natural for him to look down upon some other people. It was amusing to watch them scatter like roaches in his path. Some of the younger kids looked at him questioningly before the older ones told them not to look in his eyes. It’s not like he was some sort of demon, he didn’t have fiery eyes and tails and a pitch fork. They were innocent for now. It’s not like he was going to go on a killing spree like he did back during the battle of the titans. He slid into the shadows, fading slightly as he then found himself in the woods. The shadows were cool and speckled the ground. There was not a single sound of birds nor the chattering of small animals. That was fairly strange. Gunnar blinked as he put his hands to his waist where his daggers were. It was never good to be unarmed at times in the forest. There were always things that liked to lurk.

Something moved up ahead. Gunnar pulled his dagger and lurked in the shadows. He didn’t like the looks of what was going on. This was his camp; his family (or what was left of it) was here. Not that he would come to their rescue if someone were to get them to have leverage over him. Gunnar would have to leave them to death if that were to happen, though he didn’t believe that of the three people he cared for her, none of them would rat him out. Gunnar truly believed that in his heart. There, there was someone up ahead, but Gunnar just simply watched, his body half standing from the shadows as if he was a sort of incorporeal ghost. No he wasn’t a ghost, he could see them though, but not command them. The man looked to be wearing a suit, but Gunnar couldn’t tell really who he was. But he twisted his hand around the leather straps that was wrapped around the hilt of the dagger.

The day was nice, and fairly peaceful considering. Tessa had spent a good amount of time in the forges recently, and it was encroaching on her study time. She had read plenty of books on leadership styles, medical theories, sword techniques, anything and everything she might be able to use in the things she attempted to perfect. She could never stop, because there was always a way to get better, especially for her. She was rather poor at everything compared to some of the other demigods. Her fighting skills were not on pare with the Mars' children, her healing was only as good as a human could get since she had no healing powers, and her forging was just atrocious. Yes, that was probably where she should be working day and night, but her other skills would fall below where they already where. She could not allow that. She would have to try and get some studying, possibly some sewing in. She had practice with swords and bows in the normal legion practice, but she hardly felt that was enough for her. She was too awful at it to not practice more. Where were the hours going? She'd just work away in the forge. Oh well, time to work on something, anything else. In an attempt to focus her mind she went in the opposite direction of the forge and into the forest

The forest could of course be dangerous, but it shouldn't be anything too awful. Armed with only her hardened bow and a quiver of arrows, Tessa made her way into the forest. She liked the forest, it was a quite place to study and simply relax. Forget about the rest of camp and listen to the music that came with nature. It took her a moment, but Tessa noticed the unusual quietness of the forest. Stopping where she was she was on alert, looking around for signs of animals. Nothing moved, nothing made a sound, it was different from anything she had encountered before. Even for people or monsters that appeared there was something. Not all the creature where afraid of humans after all. She walked more cautiously, not sure of which way to go to avoid whatever was making everything afraid. Keeping the radius of awareness the legion had instilled at an early age.

It took her a moment but she saw another person, her heart stopped a moment because he seemed to not be there until just then. He seemed to talk to himself, and that was what drew her attention. She wasn't sure why she had not noticed him until now, he had a godly aura around him. Perhaps someone who's so in tune with shadows they cover him when he doesn't plan for it? Tessa was thinking too much again, but was glad that it wasn't anything trying to kill her. “Greetings Lord.” she said softly, her voice sweet and kind. She normally didn't speak, but that was around mortals. This would be fine, gods were not affected by such things. She moved closer in an attempt to see who it was.

The forest was quiet and eerie kind of quiet that made Pluto wonder what the woodland creatures were dong. It seemed like the sheer presence of the underworld god had them scared even the monsters were not showing their horrible faces. Pluto was the god of the underworld and one of the people who knew about Shadow travel. His ears buzzed as he knew about another death somewhere in the world and it just meant Pluto would be doing paperwork til wee hours of the evening even til the early morning of the next day should Pluto decide to actually do it which he rarely ever did. Pluto heard behind him a simple girl speak to him, or so he thought for she called him lord as most of the demigods do. The underworld god turned and saw Gunnar reaching for a dagger llurking in the shadows. 'I would not dare to strike me Gunnar. I know your dad would not like you attackign your grandfather." Pluto spoke calmy and stepped into a more visible light so the man could see him better.

Yes the underworld god knew about his son and that he had a grandson at camp but he didn't visit camp that much so he didn't bother to learn what his grandson looked like. The king of the underworld smiled and leaned on a small tree. These mortals always seemed to think attacking a god would actually kill him but they were usually sadly disappointed when they came to his underworld. They would usually encounter him again. Pluto looked around some more and noticed a timid young lady speaking to him. "Hello young demigod. No need to be afraid for I am not mors and i am not here to drag anyone back down to the underworld. In fact i am mostly looking to get to know the demigods better." Pluto commenteds softly as the souls in his suit tried to give out a wail to try and escape their imprisonment

Pluto didn't usually give someone a punishment of being part of his clothing unless of course they truly deserved it aand that punishment was for the really wicked people. The last person he punished had been sentenced to be chew toy for Cerberus for all eternity. It seemed like a fitting punishment because in life the man was very wicked in life and so it was a pretty fitting punishment. However he was here to talk and get to know the demigods.

Gunnar had kept himself busy for the past few days. He trained, honing his skills of death and of course, training with his cohort. He could always stick to the shadows though most in his cohort still didn’t know that he existed. He preferred it that way of course. People didn’t realize that where there were large groups of people, there was Gunnar. He couldn’t stay away from people, no matter how hard he tried to keep himself low. He spotted Tessa a few meters away, but for the moment his main concern was whatever was scaring the animals. The man that he had been stalking, what would he be doing in the woods? He looked too old to be a camper and of course from behind, there was no way to tell who he was at this distance. But the split moment that Gunnar sensed no heartbeat, he slipped the dagger he had been in the process of drawing. Gunnar quietly slipped the dagger back into its place. Gunnar adjusted his tie and jacket before he stepped into the light just as he heard a sound. It was Tessa’s voice. It was sweet and rather melodious, unlike anything he had ever heard. Oh despite the fact that she had the most beautiful voice in the world, he felt compelled to answer every summons that she called his name to do. No, he shook his head looking like a punch drunk dog trying to get the water out of his ears. He regained the use of his facilities before he watched her. She seemed to not notice him just yet or he could have guaranteed that she wouldn’t have spoken aloud. Gunnar’s face didn’t show much emotion, but he wished that Tessa would speak a bit more often. He liked the sound of her voice, though it wouldn’t do much in helping him not torment her.

His grandfather had called out to him, so Gunnar stepped through the shadows and into the clearing where his grandfather was standing. “There is no disrespect meant Grandfather,” Gunnar spoke, his voice rather gravely and deep. “it is rather hard to pin you as a deity from so far behind you. Though strike or not, you would easily have been able to plant me on my rear.” Gunnar’s face remained emotionless and his voice was void of any change as his father had taught him. He had taken to his father’s teachings though from a young age he was attached to his mother. Her lack of control had eventually gotten herself killed, by her own son none the less. Gunnar always took time out of his day to torment Tessa, but for the moment, there was someone more important than her. His Grandfather, Pluto, was more important that torturing the poor little girl that he enjoyed toying with. Gunnar had only ever seen his grandfather less than a handful of times. Pluto had always been busy, Mors or Ukki, even more so, but at least Ukki had made sure to at least attempt to spend time with him. Gunnar would never say anything out loud to anyone who wasn’t Mors, but secretly, he was rather happy that his Ukki had decided to spend a bit more time with his Grandchildren, even if Lilith was better off dead. Gunnar knew that Ukki was protective over Lilith, so that was the only thing stopping him from making sure his cousin permanently joined up in the underworld. While she had never done anything personally to slight him, Gunnar felt nothing but contempt and lack of care for the girl. She couldn’t even hold her own in a fight.

As he spoke to Pluto, Gunnar slid his eyes over to where he sensed the young woman from the infirmary. The way Pluto spoke to Tessa was strange, since of course, Gunnar had only ever seen Pluto mad or for lack of another word, being a spoiled child. Maybe he really meant what he said about getting to know the demi-gods that were in camp. Very few gods cared about their children and let alone their grandchildren. Maybe the gods were really changing, though Gunnar didn’t know of many that really cared for their grandchildren. A few people would complain that the actual Demi-gods got more attention than their legacy counterparts. Gunnar truly didn’t care, though much to his dismay he was becoming increasingly tied to Mors for emotional support. Gunnar watched the suit for a brief moment, watching as the souls tried to escape. “Grandfather, if you please, I do hope that while my track record isn’t the greatest, I do hope I’m not so far in that I get the pleasure of being trapped within your clothes.” Sure Gunnar was a contract Assassin, But his work was rather…. Complex. He did quite a few contracts for free for some people who were deeply in trouble. Gunnar had been meaning to stop by Pluto’s temple to inquire about a soul that he was about to end their life. This one was a freebie contract, to a degree. The girl had offered him up a whole bag of green apples if he could do something about the man that was holding her captive. It had been nearly six years since the girl had seen the light. Gunnar didn’t know how she was able to contact him, but even if he didn’t receive payment, he would do this because the man was a disgusting pig of a human.

“Grandfather, I wish to discuss with you the nature of a soul.” Gunnar stated as he adjusted the tie of his suit. He watched the god for a moment before he watched Tessa intently. Silently he walked over, staying through the shadows before he stood beside Tessa, gently placing a hand on her shoulder. He wasn’t talking about her soul of course, he enjoyed tormenting this one. This one was his particular favorite play thing. His eyes were intense as he they darted between Pluto and Tessa.

While her eyes were drawn to the suit the man was wearing, were thous faces stretching against the fabric? And hands, reaching trying to escape? Of course, it made sense why the creature of the forest grew so silent. The god of the underworld, Lord Pluto himself had graced the camp, albeit still very far from the main area. His voice was harsh as he spoke, a name unfamiliar to Tessa, which was certainly strange given the amount of time she'd been a medic. She had taken over the filing system, there was little else she could do to help anyway. Every name had a place, and she supposed the word he used could also be a title. Possibly like a Gunnery Sergeant in the Marine Corps. That was shortened to gunny wasn't it? Was that what he said? Tessa couldn't remember anymore, and was fairly certain that was not the important thing. The important thing was, she had just spoken. Sure she'd let herself slip a few times before, but every time she hated herself for it. Hated that she let her voice out and charmed those near by, the most terrible cases involved males with girlfriends. Lucky enough when she stopped talking they got over it, and sometimes even forgot the sound of her voice. This was already the second time in a month she allowed someone to hear her voice, though the other was a female who had charm speak herself. Tessa had not expected someone trying charm speak to get her to talk, her defenses where down. She'd make sure not to do that again. So that made possibly four times she let her voice out with people around.

Silently Tessa cursed herself, wondering how she could possible miss someone when she had been on such high alert. Until she saw him. The one who plagued her day in and day out. Her face few slightly pale, and her heart began to beat rapidly in her chest. Adrenaline circulated through her system at the sight of him, yet she always froze up. The fear causing her to not move, while it caused her to want to run. She was surprised she managed to not fall over herself every time she saw him. His voice was more formal than she was used to, perhaps because he was talking to his grandfather and not purring terrifying things into her ear. He was in the light, which should make him seem less dangerous, but he was moving closer to Tessa, coming to rest at her side. Tessa edged away from him, but he put his hand on her shoulder. Warm compared to his blades, though she shouldn't be surprised. He was a flesh and blood human not someone made of shadows, logic said that anyway. He had caught her while she fell to the ground before, which had been his fault in the first place. Scaring her to the point her legs gave out under her, what kind of human enjoyed such a pass time?

Souls? What could he possible be talking about souls for? Pluto only dealt with dead souls. Why was he looking at her so intently. Tessa's face turned gravely pale as her heart beat faster, slowly she attempted to step away from him. Unsure of her own footing in her already panic stricken state. She was glad she at least had the mind to not rip away from him and attempt to flee. She was fairly sure she'd end up on her face. He couldn't be asking about her soul, it was still attached to her body, and she hoped it would stay that way. This man, what was his name again? Tessa had heard it, or a nick name. No doubt a nick name, she doubted he had a real one. Her mind raced, but not in a pleasant or useful direction. Try as she might she could not remember the parallel between the name and something else she had made only moment before.

The god began to speak to her, it was nice that he decided to tell her he wasn't going to be collecting souls. It made her feel at least a little better about the strange presence next to her. She was just going to have to try and deal with it for now. Other than scaring her he really had not done anything terrible. Not to her anyway. Thought the uses for his expertise were not confined to just frightening people, and his expensive suits suggested something far more highly paid. No, the legions would not allow such things. Remus already wasn't a fan of people leaving camp, so leaving to do something to mortals was certainly not something he would allow.
