If you wanted to get technical, he wasn't breaking the rules. The realm of dreams was his realm, this was his domain. His new son was still young, an infant even, just a few months old. Somnia loved his mother dearly. No one could have predicted that the moment she left the hospital, she was going to die by the hands of the Yakuza. A stray bullet and a victim of circumstance, that was such a horrible tragedy. He personally delivered his son to his grandparents. It was nice to see that they really cared for the infant and loved him greatly. It had particularly been traumatic for the aging couple to loose their daughter and it tore at his heart. She had such a brilliant future ahead of her and she was quite the dreamer. She had big plans and was going places. He had met her at the university, studying hard and working diligently, it was her mind that he loved. Gently, he brushed a few strands of hair away from the infants face. Somnia could tell that he was happy, having a good dream. There was a coo and a sigh of contentment, it made his heart jump. He placed a kiss atop of the infants head before shimmering out of existence. “Good night, Kanta, my son.” He whispered before his form vanished.
The night life in Tokyo was brilliant. There were dreams, yes, but as of right now the gods mind wasn't presently on his job. As he walked, mortals around him fell asleep and the moment he passed, they woke up and continued on as if nothing had happened. He stopped at a bridge over looking the river, his eyes scanned the horizon, he was thinking about his son. For once, he didn't care about what was going on in that stupid war or how many demi-gods he would be harassing back at Camp Jupiter. Some of them deserved it, others he tortured with the dreams of lost loved ones that they would never see again. To have this girl ripped from his hands just at the birth of their child, the thought made him mad. Someone had better feel lucky that he didn't know who had done the killing or who had ordered the hit if that was even likely. The moment he found out, that person would have been deprived of sleep. Somnia would give him horrible dreams till the day he died. Maybe a week or so of being deprived of sleep and that idiot would go into severe hallucinations and eventually die. The bastard deserved becoming the chew toy of Cerbreus. Somnia made a mental note to speak to his uncle about that when he got the next chance.
Somnia sat down on a stool at a ramen shop. There was a cold nip in the air, and while he didn't particularly have the need to eat, he couldn't not stop where there was a tantalizing smell. He ordered a special and grabbed a pair of chop sticks. He rolled the wood around his hand, getting rid of any splinters that might assault his mouth. If he could drool, he would have. A large bowl was placed in front of him as he took a bite. Some day he'd have to bring his children here as a treat. Not that he cared what Jupiter thought anyways. This place had tender meat, fresh vegetables and hand made noodles and broth. Though the company was, lacking to say the least, he silently ate his meal in peace. Somnia savored the spicy and flavorful bowl with gusto. He gently wiped his face with a napkin before adding only just a splash of soy sauce to the bowl. Enough to bring out the flavor but not enough to over power it. He then ordered a side of dumplings to go with it. There was a bite of cold air as someone pushed the curtain back, entering into the little shop. Another mortal, just great, Somnia couldn't help but roll his eyes.
