Jason was in the middle of a jog when he decided to make a turn into the forest. The woodlands just had a charm that always attracted him, plus it gave him an excellent time to practice his archery, and his bow was never too far away. As he jogged into a clear spot of land in the middle of the wood he lifted off his sweaty shirt, revealing a six-pack of abs glistening in sweat. He ran his hand through his blonde hair, making it stick up in some places. He gave a smile as he surveyed the area. It was a perfect place to practice archery, of course it wasn't the first time he had stumbled upon this area. He glanced at some tree branches around the area which held torn up targets hanging from them. It was a favorite spot for the Apollo kids, and even the hunter when they came through. It was a home made archery range.

Jason grabbed the boomerang looking object of his belt loop and pulled it so that it extended into a full size recurve bow. This bow was his baby, personally made set to his needs. He grabbed some sticks that were skittered across the ground. Though to any trained archer they would recognize theses as home made arrows. They weren't lethal but they weren't made for children either. He grabbed about twenty and walked back to his bow, which he had leaned against a stump.

He grabbed the bow and fixated an arrow against it. He aimed it towards one of the targets approximately a hundred meters from him hanging from a low branch. It easily hit the bulls eye. Of course that didn't surprise him, it was anything but a challenge. That was a downside, not matter what he seemed to try no archery skill had to be learned. It was if he was born with it. The shame of not being able to learn. Of course he could always touch up on his acting. Even though critics said he was a prodigy he couldn't help but think he never caught a character good enough.

A slight smile flickered upon his face. He had an idea, a spin on his training. Why not mimic the ever famous Robin Hood as he did his archery. "It is I! Robin Hood! Here to retrieve your gold from the hands of the evil Sheriff! Never fear!" Shoots an arrow at the bulls eye of a target! Jason does he heroic acting smile.

As much as Annaleigh rarely interacted with people, it was strange to find her alone. Usually she wove in and out of groups, sliding between them to catch what news was happening around camp just in case she had missed something. Strange that people always worried about her when she was doing that… It was when she was alone that people needed to think of danger. When she was out and about the notes were being made, but when she withdrew to privacy was when things really got going, rumors were spun or tales were woven. That was exactly what she was doing, sitting cross-legged on the forest floor with papers spread out in front of her and her ever-present journal open in her lap. Her blond hair was tightly pulled back into a ponytail, a surefire way to tell that she was hard at work building up or tearing down someone’s reputation.

But who to talk about, and in what capacity? There was that child of Mars who had tried to intimidate her into spreading rumor about his accomplishments, which were all a lie of course. Anna had taken the list, and when compared to what she had on file about him it was laughable. She knew she could make people believe it if she wanted to, but this young legionnaire had gone about seeking fame all the wrong ways. Those who deserved it, who earned it, got their recognition. Around camp she and her siblings saw to that, and in the world their mother did the same. Those who just wanted the fast track to fame usually ended up with it, but not always in the way they wanted. Anna was all too happy to spread infamy when someone was going about things the wrong way, and it looked like this child of Mars was next on her list.

Something distracted her, though, the sound of an arrow flying through the air and meeting its target. Another wonderful gift from her mother, quite sensitive hearing; how else would she know what everyone was talking about? People often thought they could just walk around a corner and be out of earshot, and Anna found that quite amusing. But she couldn’t let someone stumble upon her during their training and ruin all of the work she had planned out. These were her secrets, at least until she had every detail of them flushed out. The young woman gathered up her materials, placing the papers back in their respective folders before making her way towards the source of the sound and slipping into the area unnoticed, as she was wont to do.

Jason Kyoto. Former child actor. Son of Apollo. Good sense of humor, friendly, healer. Not threatening.

Annaleigh ran through a few quick facts about the other demi-god, something she usually did before interacting with any of the legionnaires face to face. Children of the war gods, for example, were usually best approached with caution lest they take offense to something she’d spread. She smiled as the young man did a Robin Hood impression and watched him hit another bulls eye, of course making note of it all in her head, before applauding lightly and stepping into the clearing. ”Robin could split arrows too, if I remember correctly.” She knew of this place, though actually from experience rather than just hearing about it the way she did with most of the hidden spots around camp. Archery was Annaleigh’s favorite mode of combat, and training here had always been much more fun than just standing around in lines and shooting at the targets. ”Though I don’t doubt you could do the same.” She didn’t have her bow with her, but still bent to pick up one of the homemade arrows and twirl it in her fingers.

Jason let his famous photograph smile appear on his face before turning and spotting the blonde headed female approaching him. He couldn't help but notice how the gray v-neck made her appear dignified and on a mission. "And in comes the lovely maid Marian ladies and gents!" Jason said as he waved towards the approaching female. He pretended to hear an audience cheering for him to split an arrow. "What's that? You want me to split an arrow? Well of course I shall" Jason replied as he notched an arrow onto his recurve. He aimed it at the bullseye which he recently nestled an arrow. He let the arrow fly and suddenly a sickening crap came from the way of the target as the arrow split the previous one it two. "So my lovely Marian, there is the answer to your, well it wasn't really a question was it?" Jason said with a smirk.

Jason raised an eyebrow at the female. He felt like he should know her name. Something seemed new, but yet familiar about this individual. Jason walked over to the female and bowed in front of her. "So, for out of character purposes may I have the lovely Maid Marians name?" Jason said as he stood back up holding one of the wild flowers that grew in the area. He handed it out to her. "If you don't mind associating with an outlaw you can call me Robin Hood. Though, most people call me Kyoto, Jason Kyoto." Jason said as he mimicked James Bond at the end. He had a knack for impersonations, of course anyone who read Star! magazine in the nineties knew of his skills. For those who didn't know of his former celebrity status, well he had fun with them.

Jason glanced at the arrow the lady held in her hand. He wondered if she was any good with a bow, then again she must be if she came here. It was the secret archery range. Unless she was some creepy stalker. Oh Gods! Was there still paparrazi after him? Though how they could get into the camp was beyond him. He read on a some celebrity blog though that he was spotted around the area the camp was next to. He was still a hearthrob to some girls. Everyday he still kept getting letters from producers and directors begging for his talents, of course he kept telling them he is retired for at least three more years. Why three? Well he only had three more years left with his ten-year contract with the legion. He had plans to possibly return to Hollywood and make some more money doing what he loved. Then again, Broadway was always an option. He just hoped to be able to go back into the real world and again into the acting career.

"So, are you wanting to try shooting that arrow?" Jason asked as he wiggled his bow towards her. Though, he probably should warn that it had a one hundred twenty pound draw, it was meant to kill opponents. "Not that I doubt you or anything, but, my bow has a hundred twenty draw on it. It can be pretty lethal. Still care for a go? I can help if you want, though, if you know of this place you must have some archery skill." Jason said with a charming smile.

Anna couldn’t stop the smile from breaking out across her face as the young man continued on with the act, bringing her in as his Maid Marian. And in no time he was fitting another arrow onto the bowstring and letting it fly to perform the feat she had challenged him to. Of course he could. Anna knew he was an accomplished archer. ”A question, not really. More of a challenge…” And one he had risen to quite well.

She watched him study her; he probably thought he should know who she was, but it seemed like he couldn’t quite place her. That happened quite often, actually. Strange, that a daughter of Fama could remain anonymous to so many people, but Anna really didn’t talk herself up anywhere near as much as she did other people. Charming. She thought, smirking at him as he handed her the flower. ”Oh I certainly wouldn’t mind associating with your kind of outlaw, Jason.” She sniffed the flower before looking back at him. ”I’m Annaleigh Jordana, most people call me Anna.” Well, that, or stupid nicknames like Rumor Mill or Gossip Girl… Hopefully he hadn’t caught on to those around camp. Yes, she spread rumors. Yes, she gossiped. But those nicknames had negative connotations about them, and Anna certainly liked to think what she did wasn’t negative.

”I know who you are, of course.” Even without her files on everyone in the legion Anna would have known him. What girl their age didn’t? Given that, and the fact that both of her parents were in the entertainment business, Anna definitely knew the name Jason Kyoto. True, her father and step-mother were big names on Broadway, but that didn’t mean the family didn’t keep tabs on what was happening on the West Coast. Alan had been on television a few times, mainly small roles, but his true love was the stage. Anna had never really had the chance to perform, though everyone said she had to have gotten her father’s talents… She had been whisked off to Camp Jupiter before she ever really had a chance to get into performing. She had been in dance classes, but that was about it. Maybe she could follow in her father’s footsteps later on in life. Surely her mother would have a touch in her career… Or she could go on to be a talent agent, the person that her mother had been pretending to be when she met Alan. It would be cute to see it come full circle.

She raised an eyebrow at him as he moved his bow towards her; she was fairly sure it was probably much too heavy a draw for her. ”Oh, you’d be quite surprised how much I know about camp without actually having experience in the subject. There are plenty of so-called secret places around here that aren’t as secret as people would like to think.” Of course she did have experience with archery, and she had shot here before. ”But I do think a hundred twenty pound draw might be a bit much for me. I may be a good shot, but I’m no child of Apollo.” Still, she reached forward to accept the bow and fit the arrow to the string. She took aim and began to bring it to draw, though she had to stop at about three-quarters of the full draw. ”Good gods… How do you do this?”

Jason looked at the now split arrow. A challenge. It was true not everyone born as a spawn of Apollo could do that right out of the wound. Even descendants of the famous archer had to practice, though not as much as other people. "Challenge is completed m'lady. I would say that our audience enjoyed the show." He smiled at Anna and waved at a distant bird which abruptly flew away. "Probably going to concessions." Jason said jokingly. He wouldn't admit that an audience member, or wildlife, didn't enjoy his show. Though, that was perhaps too cocky of him to think.

His smile grew even wider when she responded with no concern of associating with him, even if he was only playing an outlaw. Robin Hood was a good outlaw though. Almost everyone knew his story, Jason was a fan of it. Once he figured out his true parentage, well at least a half of it. He decided that Robin Hood was once a son of Mercury, it only made sense right? "I am not that bad of an outlaw. Steal from the rich to help the poor. Plus with a lovely lady by my side I can defeat the evil sheriff." Jason said still in character ending with a little laugh. He was such a jester. Annaleigh Jordana, why did that name sound so familiar to him. After a quick thought he found out why. It was the last name. She must be related to the Broadway couple. "Jordana, you wouldn't perhaps be related to Alan Jordana would you? I am a huge fan of his work." Jason stated while trying to repress the inner fan girl he had inside of him for Alans acting. Sure, Jason was a big name on Hollywood, but he hadn't performed since he was six, it was going to be tough for him to get back in the game. Though, he does have a nice cushy bank account to support him once he is done at the legion. That was a plus.

Oh, so she knew of him. Should that worry him, or make him feel better. He didn't think anyone at camp would recognize him from his acting days, but maybe there was a chance. He did feature in a good number of movies, and landed a spot on the cover of People's Magazine a couple of times. However, his exterior had changed since then. He lost his toddler chubbiness and dimples. Now he had a very charismatic look about him. Still looked good on camera too. "You do? Hmm, are you a fan?" He asked sarcastically. Though he honestly doubted people remembered that he used to associate with Hollywood A-listers.

He smirked. So there was more secret places in camp? Well he was just going to have to go all super spy and figure out what they were, though if it was some secret make-up parlor for Venus kids he could really care less about that. Though, he figured there had to be more awesome ones like this one. "More camp Jupiter secrets? Well, do you care to share." Jason asked. When she mentioned she wasn't a daughter of Apollo his smile grew wider. "Well I would've thought I would recognize one of my sisters. If not Apollo, then who?" He asked with curiosity. Jason watched as Anna tried the draw. He figured it would be a bit heavy for her. He had worked for three years to get that big of a draw. He smiled lightly. "Lots of upper body strength exercises. Plus it helps with Apollo being my dad. The motion is almost flawless with my sibilings and I, it helps when drawing. Though, I must say. You almost got there. Good job!" Jason said happily. He was overly impressed with this female.

”And how well it was!” She exclaimed, remarking on his completion of the challenge. Their audience? Well… Who could know if they had enjoyed the show, considering the only member flew away when Jason waved. ”Yes, concessions. I’m sure they’ll be back for the second act. It’s far too gripping of a tale to miss the conclusion.” Of course now Anna wasn’t sure if she was referring to the story of Robin or this chance meeting in the woods. A daughter of Fama just happening across a former child star was just too good to pass up. Of course she’d seen Jason around Camp before, had the file on him like she did everyone else, there just had never really been a reason to talk to him before so she had always kept her distance.

Anna laughed as he finished up the Robin Hood act. They had always been such fun stories, and when your parents were both actors bedtime was never boring. So many people forgot that Alan Jordana had a daughter, which Anna found strange. Before she had been sent to camp she was a staple at the stage door waiting for her father, and critics had always said she would grow up to be just as talented as he was. ”Yep, I’m the daughter that mysteriously went to boarding school and never once visited in eight years. I’ll be sure to let him know you’re a fan next time I see him.” Only two years, surely she could keep that promise. She was sure her father would be more than slightly amused to find out that the little kid in all of those movies was a demigod. Maybe Fama had smiled upon him as she had Anna’s father.

”What’s the good of secrets if I tell everyone? I do know when to keep things hidden, contrary to popular belief.” It was nice to have places no one else knew about when she needed to sit and write or let ideas stew. Or when she seriously pissed off a demigod who decided that they’d rather have her head than deal with things in a civil manner. ”Upper body strength. Got it. My bow isn’t quite that heavy, but it does the job.” Most of her duty in a battle fell to keeping up spirits or spreading discontent in the enemy ranks with a few well-placed words. Her arrows brought down opponents and she wasn’t one to shy away from battle, but people had learned early on that her tongue could be just as dangerous as any blade.

”I guess you could say I’m a fan.” Even if she hadn’t been a fan of his when she was younger she would know everything about him. It was just a Fama thing. Usually she just knew things that happened once someone got to camp, unless there was something really interesting or (in Jason’s case) they had been famous ahead of time. ”You started out as Peter in a production of Peter Pan, then you did a Hot Wheels commercial. After more commercials you landed your first big movie. Five more of those, then you just dropped off the map. Guess we know where you went.” She smirked before realizing just how much of a creepy stalker she sounded like. Not everyone knows you’re a daughter of Fama. He probably thinks you have some weird shrine set up under your bunk dedicated to him. Alan had his share of admirers, quite a few of them Anna was sure had more than a few nuts loose. ”Oh my gods. I just realized how weird I sound. I swear I’m not a stalker or anything. Yes, I watch you – but I watch everyone around here. I’m a child of Fama, goddess of fame, renown, and rumor. My siblings and I just know stuff about other people, and what we don’t know we pick up on quite quickly, and… I’m not helping myself, am I? It was one of the rare occasions that the young woman got flustered over knowing things about someone… But she didn’t usually meet anyone who was already famous and had had to deal with things like paparazzi and weird stalker fans in the past…

Jason smirked as Annaleigh went along with his joke. Most people at camp would say he was being obnoxious or too playful again. It was nice to see that at least someone besides him had a sense of humor at this camp. When Anna said she was the daughter of one of his heros a huge grin plastered upon his face. The odds of running into someone related to Alan Jordana at Camp Jupiter. How funny it was to imagine him infatuated with a Goddess. Jason wondered which Goddess snagged his attention. Though, he was glad it was a Goddess, if it were to be a God Jason could be staring at his half-sister. Jason was too interested in the blonde in front of him, he would be mortified if she was his half-sister. Could he already be developing a crush or was it his inner flirt wanting to come over and take charge? He didn't want to be that way to Anna, for some reason Jason thought she was different, in a good way of course. "Except the tabloids got it wrong. You didn't go to boarding school, you went to Camp Jupiter. A place for Roman Demigods. Though I doubt they could put that on the front cover." Jason said with a laugh in reference to their secret camp. How ignorant mortals could be sometimes. At the mention of her telling her father about him Jason was about to go all fangirl. He kept it down though. "That would be wonderful. Also, perhaps I could visit him, and you, after my service is over." Jason said with a mild flirtatious tone.

Jason laughed. Figures he wouldn't be let in on more camp secrets. Though, he was satisfied with the one they were in at the moment. Besides, this was more his element anyway. Though, what was the reference to the "contrary to popular belief"? Did he miss hearing a nice gossip trail about her from the Venus kids. He didn't follow them intensely but he though her name would sound familiar if he had overheard the rumor mill. "What do you mean by contrary to popular belief? You don't look like a rumor mill." Jason said as he grabbed his t-shirt from its place and put it back over his torso when a cool breeze blew by. As his head popped through the top, making his hair look even more unkempt, he had a grin on his face, which was more common for him anyways. "It's not all about the weight, it helps to have good accuracy too. That's what will ultimately matter. The extra lethal strength is a plus though."

Jason first had a smile when she mentioned she was a somewhat fan. Then as she rambled his career off to him his smile became more neutral and he raised an eyebrow. She had obviously done her homework. Perhaps it was because she grew up in the art industry, still, not many people knew about his Peter Pan production. Jason nodded at the mention of his dropping off the map. "Yeah, I didn't have enough time to give me a boarding school cover. I guess I'll have to act out a tale when I go back in business." Jason said as he remembered that grave night. Ethan and him trying to leave the manager, ultimately causing Jason to commit murder. Then running away from the former life to end up here at camp.

Finally his thoughts were drawn away when Anna began defending herself by proclaiming she wasn't a creepy stalker or paparazzi. Jason was relieved to hear that. As she continued to ramble on Jason broke back into a grin which lead to a laugh. She sure was funny when rambling. "You are fine. Besides, your cute when you ramble." Jason said without knowing. A hint of blush crossed his face. "Uh, sorry. It's just that you are cute. But not just when you ramble. Ugh, I just I don't want to lie to you about your looks. You aren't ugly. I don't want you to get the wrong impression of me either, we only just meet." Jason rambled before sighing. "I guess it was my turn to ramble." Jason said with a smirk as he ran his hand through his hair, making it stick up more.

As serious as she sometimes came across, Anna did have a sense of humor. She didn’t even seem serious, at least in her opinion. It was everyone else who got it wrong; they thought of her as some ominous being who was just there to snatch up all the news and gossip and twist it around to fit in with whatever story she was promoting. And yes, she did pick up on everything that went on and used it to spread tales. But that didn’t mean she was completely serious all the time! She loved a good joke just as much as the next person, it was just that people didn’t tend to joke when she was around.

Watching Jason’s face light up when she confirmed who her father was felt a little strange. When she was younger Anna hated being treated special because of her father’s fame and fortune, and life at Camp Jupiter had only strengthened her belief that you should only get the treatment you earn. Respect was something to be gained, not something you got just because you were the child of someone that other people liked. ”Oh, I could just imagine the stir that would cause. I’m sure everyone here would absolutely love it, especially if we threw your name on there too.” She smirked, just imagining a throng of tourists trying to crowd into the Caldecott Tunnel. A slight blush spread across her face at his next words, but luckily he changed the subject for her.

”Oh, you know… That stupid belief people around here have that I spread everything I hear without taking it into consideration. That I only spread harmful rumors. Things like that.” She smiled again. ”I am a rumor mill, and a rather productive one at that, but I know which rumors to spread and when in order to raise up the right people and bring others toppling down when they need to.” It might have sounded bad, but rumors helped keep a balance in the world. Let someone get too big of a head and you have the next Julius Caesar on your hands. Let the little guy go unnoticed for too long and they would eventually stop trying. Fama was the goddess of fame and renown just as much as she was of rumor. ”The distance is what really matters for me, I guess. Really I mainly boost morale, or spread discouragement amongst enemy ranks. A safe distance from the fighting ensures that I see everything that goes on but that I survive to tell the tale.” Not that she didn’t like to fight, but someone had to be around to talk up the heroes of a battle, especially if those heroes didn’t make it back themselves.

”I’m sure the public will believe whatever tale you come up with, especially if you have a dazzling return to the public eye.” He could always say he had gone to pursue his studies; plenty of child actors did that and managed to keep below the radar. ”I’ll take that as a compliment and extend the same to you, Jason.” Finally she wasn’t tripping over her words. That wasn’t something she was used to, and it absolutely threw her off. Words were her specialty. She looked back to the pile of files that had been set down and then back to Jason, slightly curious if he would go along with this, or if there would be anything at all to it. ”Well, instead of rambling… How about you tell me something about you that I don’t already know?” Part of her was curious how complete her files were, but mostly she wanted to get to know the son of Apollo better and in his own words.

Jason laughed at the image in his head. Hundred of paparrazi blasting through the tunnel to get to them. Finally after the were thrown back away they would make some weird stories about it all. Then, oh gods, would they make a celebrity nickname for Jason and Anna just because they are both celebrities in the same camp. That would be, rather odd, considering how they just recently met. "Oh yeah, I am sure the Praetors would be so happy cleaning up that mess. Plus how would the mist cover all those tabloids up?" Jason said with a jester smile.

Jason nodded as Anna spoke about what her nickname as the rumor mill meant. It didn't seem fair. That would be like calling him awesome just because of his dad, not that that would be bad but what other horrible nicknames was Apollo known for? Still, that wasn't the point. Campers shouldn't be biased just because of that fact. Jason shrugged. "It doesn't sound like you are doing anything bad with it. Why do people call you that then? It isn't right. Just because you topple someone down because they were pig headed shouldn't constitute you being punished. Especially if you just helped the most recent Underdog find them self." Jason said with a slight shake of the head. People sometimes, he just didn't understand them. Then again, it was probably impossible to understand a lot of people. Jason raised an eyebrow at her statement though. "That right there is a powerful weapon. If there is ever another battle I'll be sure to protect you. You're the camp secret weapon." Jason said with a smile and slight laugh.

Sure, the public probably would believe what he said. It's not like he got blamed with the managers murder, even if it was his fault. The newspapers blamed it on a freak accident. As far as Jason knew he had just decided to fade from public view. Though, no one knew why. Jason did have plans on returning back to the big screen though. "Yeah, I still get letters from directors requesting me for their newest movie. Once I leave the legion I'll have to go with the more promising one. Help reclaim my image I guess." Jason said. He smiled when she didn't take his rambling offensively. It helped calm him some. Then she asked for more about him. What information did the public eye not know. Jason thought for a moment. Not many people knew about Ethan. "well, that mercury kid, Ethan. He is my adoptive brother. We grew up in the orphanage together and I forced the guy who adopted me to adopt him too. It was the only way I was going to go willingly. Of course that led life into the next, less fun stage of my life." Jason said with sigh. Though his time at the orphanage was not bad at all, besides, at the end of it all he did get to have a brother. That meant something to him, especially since he never had a family before that. Now he knew why his dad was never around, he udnerstood that. Yet, he still wondered why his mom abandoned him. Heck, he wondered what his mom looked like most of the time.

Anna couldn’t help but smile a bit as she imagined all the chaos that would ensue if anyone found out that Jason was here. She hardly considered herself a celebrity, just the daughter of one, so it never crossed her mind that any tabloids would be interested in what she was up to these days. Surely everyone just assumed she was getting ready to head off to college or something like that. ”I have to admit I’d love to see what some of the tabloids would have to say.” They had always interested her, especially while she was at camp; tabloids just seemed like pathetic attempts at being, well, her mother. Trying to spread rumors and fame, but never quite getting it right. Maybe it was the daughter of Fama in her, but she found their failed attempts quite amusing and could never bring herself to be disgusted by them the way other people were.

She shrugged her shoulders when he asked why people still called her a rumor mill. ”Like I said, I am a rather productive rumor mill. It’s the people that have tried to coerce me into saying good things about them that keep the name going though, and I’ve learned to live with it.” She didn’t really see it as any sort of punishment, and it wasn’t like she had ever been assigned extra duties because of spreading rumors or gossiping. It was just what children of Fama did. Maybe it was the connotations associated with the word rumor that made things so hard for people to understand. Rumors didn’t have to be bad, and most (if not all) of her and her siblings’ rumors were based in some sort of fact. ”I’m glad you realize just how powerful it can be. The ones who don’t are usually the ones that take the most damage from it.” It was a bit sad how many people Anna had encountered that didn’t quite understand how powerful words could be when they came from the right source. They would write off the children of Fama or try to force them into doing something, only to have words be their downfall. But her words could do just as much to raise a person up if she felt they deserved it. People tended to tread carefully around her, she had found, but there were a few that had learned she wasn’t someone to be afraid of as long as you weren’t a fame-seeker; Jason seemed that type.

”I’m sure whatever you choose will be fantastic. I’ll be sure to see it.” A new movie from him after so many years was certain to be a success. She was slightly caught off guard when he revealed his secret to her. How had she not known that?! It was huge news, concerning not one but two of the legionnaires. The young demigod was itching to pull out her notebook and write down everything Jason was saying about the other young man, but she knew her eidetic memory would have to suffice until she was able to update the physical files on the two of them. Whipping out the notebook would be a bit creepy, and she had learned that people tended to quite down when that little black book came out. ”Well that’s definitely something new to me. And that’s saying something.” She laughed, not wanting to press on to how the next stage of his life wasn’t fun. If he wanted to talk she would listen, but she wasn’t going to pry as much as she usually did. ”It must’ve been good to have a brother.” It had always just been her and her father, then her step-mother came along, but as far as Anna knew she was still their only child.

The thought was funny, but it could also be horrifying. For the press to know his existence at camp it would risk the lives of not only Ethan but all his other friends here. He didn't want that to happen. Besides, they always got stuff wrong anyhow. "Yeah, I guess. Though, I would hate to be the cause of so many risked lives. If mortals learned of camp monsters would soon follow" Jason said a tad bit morbidly. Though, he couldn't help but feeling bad if something like that did end up happening. It would be his fault. Like that stupid girl of Pluto he would risk the campers of lives. He did not want to sink that low, ever.

"A productive and smart rumor mill. Smart because I must say, I really haven't heard of you being a rumor mill. You must keep your secret closely guarded." Jason said with a hint of flirting in his voice. Hey, he still was a son of Apollo. Flirting kept almost second nature to him as it was with his dad. Besides, Annaleigh was a gorgeous girl. Why shouldn't he flirt with her. Oh yeah, she was a rumor mill. However, he wasn't doing anything that could be potentially harmful to her. He was just being himself. "I can only imagine. Remind me to not get on your bad side." Jason said with a slight life to add humor to their conversation.

Jason smiled. "Of course you'll see it. I'll take you to the red carpet premiere. Give those tabloids something to talk about." Jason said while giving her a smile. It would be wonderful. A big name from Hollywood with a big name from Broadway. All those little magazines would have a field day. However, Jason would enjoy her company. He hoped that after the legion he would still be able to talk to her and meet up. Heck, he might even go as far as asking her out one day. Once he grew out of his stupid flirty teenage years that is.

Jason smirked. Even though a few campers knew about him and Ethan not many actually did. "We don't get to hang out as much though. That's probably why you didn't know." Jason stated. He was about to continue when he heard Anna. Was she an only child? Jason could semi-relate. Though, with his early years in an orphanage he didn't know if it would be the same. Especially since Ethan had also been in the orphanage. Though, they didn't become brothers until they were adopted. Jason laughed a little. "We can share him if you want. He is a handful though. He is one of those troublesome children of Mercury." Jason ended with a smile.

”Some secrets are better kept hidden, I suppose.” Who knew that better than a child of Fama? Keeping camp secret was, of course, not a difficult thing to understand as being important. Obviously it wouldn’t do to have mortals find out about the existence of the place, the existence of demigods even. Not to mention the monsters that Jason had pointed out. ”There’s really only room for one person to risk all of our lives.” She had been around for the great fiasco courtesy of the daughter of Pluto, and had spread the word as fairly as possible. Of course it wasn’t very easy to keep people from making their own judgments, no matter how many stories she spread out trying to help the girl; there was only so much that she could say.

Anna smiled again, trying to stop the blush from spreading across her face at Jason’s flirtatious tone. That was just the thing though; Anna knew everything about everyone, she knew everyone’s little secrets and kept them stashed away in her files and her mind, but very few people knew anything about the rumor mill herself. ”It’s easier to find out things about people if they don’t know you’re the one talking about it later.” Not that trying to talk about something out of her earshot really helped… It was cute, actually, to watch people’s behavior change because she was around. Her mother had lived in a house of glass so she could hear and see everything happening all over the world. A couple of extra feet or going around a corner wasn’t going to stop Annaleigh. She smiled at Jason again and let out a light laugh. ”I think its safe to say you’re good.”

The idea of attending a premiere with him made her heart skip a beat, especially if he was serious about it. They were close in age, they’d be leaving the Legion around the same time… If he didn’t want to stay around. Anna knew she wanted to head back to New York, maybe go to school for journalism or even try her hand at theatre like her father. She knew she’d make a good journalist, or maybe an agent like the guise her mother had adopted before she was born. ”Oh I’m sure they’d just love that.” Even if he went back to Hollywood she was sure she’d find a way to keep in touch if he wanted to.

”I’m sure that’s frustrating.” Not having siblings was bad enough, but having one and then having them taken away from you must’ve been so much worse. Well, technically Ethan hadn’t been taken away… They just didn’t see each other as often anymore. Jason had talked about his earlier life not being the most pleasant; maybe it was worth not seeing as much of Ethan to be at camp. Jason’s offer made her laugh though, easily lightening the mood. ”Well I think it might be a good idea to let him have a choice in the matter.” She smiled at him, ”I’ve never met him, but what children of Mercury aren’t troublesome? I’d like to meet him sometime though, maybe he’s not that bad.” Her encounters with children of Mercury hadn’t always been the best. They were such good thieves, and more than a few times they had been persuaded to try and steal files she had about people. Maybe Ethan was different, but she still had a sore spot for some of his siblings.

Jason smirked. The statement was full of truth. Everyone had a little secret that could destroy a friendship. Isn't it better in the end to maintain the strong friendship then to have the admittance of a secret cripple whatever relationship you held dear? "Of course a daughter of Fama knows best about which secrets are best left unsaid or said." Jason said with a soft smile. He nodded softly at the ending statement. She had a point he figured.

Jason could see the blush dying her cheeks the famed rosy color. He still was able to bring a blush to a girl. That made him feel good. He thought for a short while that his flirting days were all over. It was nice to notice that that was indeed a lie. However, he wouldn't dare become the obnoxious flirt with Anna like he was with Maddi. No, only boring easy girls got that side of Jason. The ones that actually had an air of mystery with them. Those were the girls Jason actually spent time with an enjoyed their company. Plus, he had a slight feeling that if he was an obnoxious ass to Anna she would make sure every single person at camp knew. He had to be careful with these girl. Jasons grinned grew bigger. "Of course they would. We would be on the cover of everything. Heck, we might even be pushed by paparazzi to end up dating." Jason said with a goofy grin. Of course, the thought of dating her would not have to be forced at all. Jason had too much pride to admit that. He was one of those guys who liked girls but wouldn't outright be all formal with announcing it. He was more informal, and that was with girls he had no intention of sticking with for a good while.

Jason shook hid head as he thought about Ethan. He was a troublesome kid in all honesty. "You have no idea. He was put into the stocks twice last week for pranks." Jason stated with a smile. "The kid is going to make me broke with all the times I have to spend my denarii on getting him out." Jason said with a laugh. He truly loved his little brother though. Even if they had no blood relation they had a emotional attachment. They grew up together. Relation isn't always signified by blood. At least in Jasons eyes it wasn't.

He glanced up at the sun, to check the time. He had been out for a while talking. Soon he was going to have go back and get the cohort ready for the evening. His centurion duties had to come first sometimes. He undid the string on his bow and had it collapse back into the miniature size. "Sorry to have to run off like this. Being a centurion can be such a pain sometimes." Jason said with a sad smile. He stood up and walked close to Anna. "Next time you are free. Stop by the infirmary and kidnap me. I'd love to hang out with you again." Jason said as he quickly kissed Annas cheek before running off.
