The wind was blowing slightly, making the steadily growing heat slightly more bearable. Summer was on it's way, and Rhiannon was not happy. Eight years living in this camp, and eight years of training in the hot, humid Cali summer. She wanted nothing more than to fill out these last two years and be done with the whole annoying mess. No, that wasn't right. A smile played across her face. Once Saturn was in charge there would be no need for the legion anymore. Demigods wouldn't be popping up everywhere, and monsters wouldn't be trying to kill them left and right. Monsters supremely feared Saturn, and for good reason. She was fairly certain the man, god, wouldn't let them all die in this god forsaken camp. He was kind, and every time he spoke with her she felt better. The anger that rushed through her veins, the thoughts about annoying idiotic people around her, all of the unpleasant things melted away. Oh she knew unpleasant things were coming, things that would again haunt her for the rest of her life, but that was something she had prepared for the moment Saturn wanted her help. Killing another demigod, another human being, another living creature, was going to be inevitable. Jason for one, while he was a terribly annoying person, was not a bad guy. Charlie was another example of a good person, and they were keen against the cause. Rhiannon had not talked to them directly about it, but Felicity had. She imagined Remus was the same, and anyone like him or Charlie. Even after meeting Saturn, Remus and Jason had decided against him. It was highly unfortunate. She doubted they would stop fighting, not until they were dead.
Training during the day was more annoying than training at night, but other people were not often awake at night. While Rhiannon would normally prefer that, she forced herself to be slightly more social. Talking to people, just a little here and there. A sweet little compliment or two about them, small talk, then back to whatever she was doing. Every so often she would bring up a hint, a tidbit about the gods idiocy, and to their friend a little bit about the golden age of man. Never to the same two people, but always to friends. Then they would talk about it themselves, and much more detailed. Perfect. Plant a seed here and there, then watch it grow in the fertile soil. It also made it easy for her to play off the less than friendly words she had, making notes of who were so very loyal to camp and the gods. That was what she had been doing for the day, perspiration on her forehead and in her hair as she flopped in the shade of a tree. Training and talking at the same time was difficult, and seemed to expend more energy than just training in silence.
There was going to be another war, no doubt, and with another war meant more trauma, more pain, more death. Saturn was never going to stop trying to come back to power, and the gods were never going to listen to their parent. That certainly sounded familiar. Half the camp didn't listen to their godly parents, wasn't that obvious from how many people started turning to Saturn? The loving grandfather, or great grandfather of most of the camp. When he would finally be in charge again there was going to be no more war. These petty power struggles that caught mortals and children in them would be gone. Even that war monger Mars would be put out of his job, because there would no longer be fighting anywhere. Now Rhiannon was not an idiot, she knew complete peace was not possible with humans being the way they are now. They'd all have to be under some kind of forced control, possibly fear. Humans were just disagreeing creatures like that. Rules, regulations, and orders where simply suggestions most of the time in Rhiannon's mind. She'd normally take to the opposite direction when someone tried to command her, she hated it. Hated when people thought they could control her. Despite all that, she was willing to do as Saturn said, willing to forever be under his thumb, if only it meant people didn't have to kill each other anymore.
