Saturn walked along the halls of Mount Orthys. They were reforming nicely, especially this section. The rooms were full, the ceiling up, the torches aglow. Everything was coming together. And here also was the place where he expected his little… guests to be. Somewhere. Unfortunately, Orthys was a large place. Fortunately, currently only part of it was habitable. So he decided to start there.
The halls of black stone were cool to the touch, and the flames on the torches did little to nothing to warm the place. Through one of the windows, he could see the swirling clouds around the top of Mount Tamalpais some little ways off, where Atlas still held the sky. Thankfully the other Titan had given up yelling about his unfortunate situation, even though the stone walls would have blocked the noise anyway. Besides, soon enough the Olympians would be taking turns at that particular duty and Atlas would be back to his former glory. It would be refreshing to see. A new age. A second Golden Age. And he was pleased to share this age – or soon share it – with like-minded individuals like Rhia and Nick.
Rhia had been easy to ensnare. So desperate for someone to care about her, for some way to matter. And she was so faithful too, so willing to do just about anything. And now she was here, escaped from her little camp and settled in to Orthys. At least, he assumed by now she had settled in. But that was what he was here to see to. Her, and his other little friend, Nick.
Nick had been a bit more of a challenge than Rhia had. It had taken a good bit of word twisting and convincing to get him here. Though it did help that he had been at least partially out of his mind. He was a stubborn one though, and Saturn had a feeling if it weren’t for current events, he wouldn’t have given in and joined up. Thank goodness for a little mayhem then. If the death of one inconsequential demigod got another one to his side, so be it. One less to worry about in the coming takeover. It would be wonderful.
He stopped at one of the rooms and walked in. It was uninhabited, but it offered a grand view down the mountain. He could see for miles. The land teamed with mortal life, all living blissfully unaware of the approaching storm. Well, possibly except for that little camp of demigods, but they were a ways away from here, tucked away in their valley as they were. Entering their own little civil war by the sound of it, from the last information he’d gotten from his spy there. Perfect.
Saturn left the room and resumed his walk, looking for the two young ex-legionnaires who now lived here. It was time to check in on his little friends.
