Gunnar really had never done this for anyone before. A birthday party? He had never celebrated his own birthday so he wasn't sure how to properly celebrate one. So when he took it upon himself to throw her one, he wasn't quite sure about the mammoth task he has decided to take on. There was a huge cake from Paris, from the best bakeries in France, there was Russian food, stuff that he got from Moscow. There were streamers and decorations to remind her of home. He had even gone so far as to stalk her to see who she would hang out with in order to deliver the invitations. It was a day that no one seemed to be doing any major training, but already a few people had come by to drop off some presents. Mercury, with a huge plate of sandwiches and fresh fruit from all over the planet, Mars had dropped off a shield that was much too big for the little girl to use. Somnia had dropped off a special blend of herbal teas and candied fruit. Gabriel Caulder, the pluto boy from first cohort dropped off a leather quiver and arm guard. Charlie had brought by a new short sword for Lyn to use. The pile of presents was stacked to the ceiling.
He looked at the book he had borrowed on how to plan a birthday party. IT was somewhat old and out of date, but it would suffice. There were plenty of games to play, pin the tail on the faun, a pinata that was shaped like a cyclops, and there were other games to play with prizes. Even an invitation had been placed upon the alters of the gods should they wish to attend. He even went as far as to purchase her a party dress that the book said was required for the birthday girl to wear. There were hats, plates, silverwear, napkins.... he felt like he was missing something. Well other than the party guests and the birthday girl, ah-hah. Gunnar then returned to his own apartment before returning, bringing with him a rather large present and a few smaller ones to add to the growing pile. He was rather satisfied with the outcome thus far, though he was a tad bit worried that he had gone over the top with the foods and cake and the decorations and the little russian eggs on the table tops.
