Miyuki sat on a stone out crop looking over the strange little system of tunnels and bridges that made up the aqueduct of New Rome. Perhaps little wasn't the best term, it supplied both the city and camp with fresh water. It was an amazing system, for certain, ad greatly improved since it's start. They were in a new age, and had sons and daughters of Vulcan after all. She couldn't help but like the architecture that was put into it, she wasn't the type to think up these resourceful changes. She dreamed, and her dreams took her all over the world, but she was no inventor. Nor was she an architect. However she could draw. Plans, straight or curved lines with the raise and fall of the land. Blueprints at times, not really that hard. Sometimes she could sketch a scene well enough, but never capture the true beauty of it. She supposed that was for the children of Apollo. Still, she liked it.
Here she sat, sketchbook in hand, with maps of all of New Rome and camp in her particular style. She could use the standard, but she didn't. She had her own strange symbolism in her drawings, though you could probably tell where it was if you lived here long enough. Then in Japanese she wrote out anything she needed to note on the sides, or with names. Most people could never tell what was in her book, which was just as well. She'd hate for it to get in the wrong hands. She knew all kinds of little in's and outs, anything new she'd tell the Praetors so that perhaps they could close it up or leave it for whatever reason. Such well drawn maps as what she had would be a disaster to anyone though.
With a rustle and a soft thump, Miyuki put her supplies away. Her bag held not only the notebook, but her tortillons, pencils, knead-able eraser, and white eraser as well. She stretched and leaned all the way back closing her eyes in the sun. It was a good day for a nap, not that she was too particular about what days were good for naps. Training hard was something anyone in the legion did, everyone in the legion had to do. Sometimes though, she just wanted to take a nice break and relax. Activity for the brain more than the body. Like the imagination, that'd be fun. She threw herself into another world, Star Trek. A giggle escaped her as she smiled, thinking about some new planet to explore.
