Allan was in love no doubt about it he loved Ronan Redpath but recently through the Venus children, such gossips. He heard that his friendly giant friend was crushing on another. A Julia Porter, whom the son of Cupid would admit was pretty but really he had known Ronan since the last war and now it seemed his long lost love was no more. The son of Cupid just woke up in the third cohort and put on a pair of blue jeans and a white t-shirt. He packed away a nice dagger he kept on him at all times thanks to working for Saturn in the last war. Allan wouldn't admit it but the news hurt like a dagger to his own heart. Allan hadn't admitted love for Ronan and well Venus was a fickle woman. She dealt out love where ever and well it didn't matter anymore. Love would make him weak in the end and needed to focus on battle. He would not focus on a love that was unrequited from Ronan.

The man walked out of the barracks and made his way to the field of mars deciding that well he would just train. It was stupid to think this war would be different than the last one. He was alone and well he would fight on the side of the Olympians but wouldn't help his feeling alone. He knew Ronan was a good friend but Allan had wanted more from him and now it seemed that was gone. Allan walked up to a nearby dummy and began to slash it with such passion from this devastating news. The young son of Cupid thought he had actually found a love that was not fake. However it just seemed like Cupid was playing cruel trick on Allan. "Well father you got your wish. I am focused on your dumb war. If I might add it was because of you that I fought against you.I am thinking of going against you now but i am a man of my word and well i am not breaking my vow!" Allan growled slashing the air and forgetting the pain he felt in his heart.

The son of cupid slashed with such pain and heartache that there was only one song he knew that could find to describe how he felt. Total Eclipse of the heart rang to mind as he slashed around with force. He knew how to fight and could truly kill all those who stood in his way. This was nothing like the fake boyfriends he had in the last war. This man had truly hurt him without even knowing he had. Allan would never forget it. The son of Cupid for now would just focus on the fact that now was war again and he was gonna just focus on that.

Gabriel needed some personal time. Not that he didn't mind hanging out with his girl, but he had felt like he was shirking his training and he needed to make sure that he didn't fall behind. He was placed in First Cohort for a reason and he wanted to make sure he didn't loose that reason. He didn't like the fact that his name was rather besmirched just because he was a child of Pluto. Gods he was so lucky that Amelia didn't judge him because of his family and because of what his sister did. Just earlier this morning someone in his cohort had reminded him that his sister was a traitor. He pinched the bridge of his nose, like he needed any reminding of that. Those idiot Mars boys constantly reminded him of it every day and that he didn't deserve to be in first cohort. It would end in a scuffle and someone would get sucked through a shadow and deposited it some random place in camp or New Rome and that would be the end of it. One of these days he'd get those boys. Oh Gabriel would wait and watch, waiting for the right moment to pounce and make his vengence. It was his fatal flaw, holding grudges. There were some things that Gabriel could just let go, but not this. The constant disrespect of his family, even if his sister was insane with a side of fruit cake nuts, and a few attempts on his life, he couldn't just ignore that.

Shoving his slightly murderous thoughts aside, Gabriel strapped his leather bracer on to protect the inside of his arm, despite the fact that it was already calloused and scarred from the bow string. He picked up his bow, it was a commission from Ronan. A collapsible bow that could extend with the flick of his arm. He looked at his other bows he had hanging on the wall next to his bunk. One was a bow made of yew, elven style bow. Another was a short bow made for mounted archery. The other was a recurve bow that was mostly used for training purposes. He attached the collapsible bow to his quiver before picking up the recurve bow. It was made of sturdy wood and was heavier than a normal bow. It also took twice the strength to pull the string back since the wood was already curved. It looked like the regularly issued legion bow that most of the Apollo kids got when they were claimed but it was made differently. He shouldered his quiver with his extra bow before slipping a knife into each boot and strapping his sword to his hip. He wasn't about to be caught unaware.

But it looked as if someone was already out on the field of mars. Gabriel remembered meeting the son of cupid briefly, but he couldn't remember his name to save his life. Usually Gabriel was so good with remembering things like names. He knew that this cupid boy was one of the ones that a good number of others in his cohort didn't trust. If Charlie and Remus trusted him, that was good enough reason for Gabriel to trust him. Gabriel watched the boy for a moment, analyzing his style. HE was angry, there was no doubt about it. but anger would lead to hate and hate to suffering. Gabriel mentally slapped himself for going all yoda in the brain. For a fictional character, Yoda was one of the more wise teachers he had ever read about. "your style is rather unorthodox to say the least." Gabriel commented, announcing himself as he held his bow in his hands.
