Time had being against the demigods since the begining of time, and maybe it was because the Titan lord of Time hated them as much as he hated gods. But sometimes, time kind of... forgot about it, kind of let them have some peaceful moment in the wide universe and space of time. Maybe not demigods got it, but at least two of them did it. Two that had spent a lot of awful moment in their lives, that there were some moments when they thought they would lose each other forever. But they didn't...

Joshua and Rhiannon Rogers, young married couple, already expecting a baby. they were happy, they were young and they had all their lives before them.  So as any other young married couple, they decided to go out, to buy some stuff for the new room of the baby. Mercury gave them a members card from Costco, so Josh decided to take her there to buy some stuff, maybe she'd like the items, also they were low on food supplies at their new home.

He thought that maybe a place not too close to the camp would be better, he still didn't like Frisco for some stuff, and he feared it would make Rhia remember her time with Saturn, her mind was still fragile and he wasn't going to risk it at all. So he decided to go to other place, to Port Angeles in Washington. Josh Picked Rhia up at their new house and then teleported to an alley in there.

"Well, Costco..." he said as they walked slowly out. He checked if there weren't pedestrians out there that could suspects something weird was going on when they walked out from that Alley. "ok, we can walk out now..." he told Rhia. She was right, he was going to get grey hair in a couple of years.

That Mercury was always putting his nose in her business, though he had admitted to her that he thought of her as a daughter even before she married Josh. For a time she didn't believe him. Didn't believe anyone, but now with josh at her side again she could believe. She could believe someone would be stupid enough to love her, flaws and all. Josh wasn't absolutely perfect, but he was perfect for her. Best friends for years before she asked him out. Dating for a while until she asked him to marry him. Yeah, it looked like she was the one doing most of that work. Josh always seemed so scared when it came to her. Scared to say he loved her since he was well enough in puberty to know he thought of her as more than a friend. Kept it well hidden too, or maybe Rhiannon had just been oblivious.

Jason had been the one to get her thinking about romantic love in the first place. The idea she might like Josh, as something other than her best friend. She wasn't like Josh, she couldn't hide it. Her thoughts about her best friend. She hid from him for a month, thinking. It wasn't the best month to be away from him, he'd been dumped shortly before. She guessed that was a good thing. She'd never confess to a guy who was taken, so perhaps it was a blessing of the gods. Calling him out to the lake she stood before him for the first time in a pretty green and blue sun dress, the girls in her barracks abducted her when they saw what she was trying to do and gave her a make over. Make up, hair brushed out, all of it. They wouldn't do the same thing for her now, she was sure of it.

The thoughts that came to her mind where not always pleasant ones. Especially now. Drama. She always hated drama, and told herself she wouldn't be involved in it, yet here she was. Not dead, when people obviously wanted her to be. Married before she was eighteen, was that even allowed without parental permission? Pregnant before she was even married, which was certainly not her ideal. All these things that she felt where not supposed to be in her life. Josh was great. He was absolutely wonderful. He loved her to tartarus and back, literally. She loved him so much it would hurt her chest, so happy when she woke up next to him that she cried sometimes. He'd always be so worried when she did that.

When he came home she was working on different plans for the future. A job that let her stay home, deal with other people as little as possible. His voice startled her a little bit in her concentration, and for a moment her fight or flight response told her to grab her sword. For a moment her mind was unsteady, especially from the lack of weapon on her. It was Josh, he smiled at her. That was it, that was all it took. The Josh that plagued her mind taunting her, he never smiled. The one that protected her, that loved her. His smile was her world. “We're off then?” she asked, putting her notes in a pile again. Some where a little crumpled from how she had been surprised. He took her to someplace different. Somewhere she didn't know.

Generally alleyways looked the same, but for some reason Rhiannon could tell the alleys apart better than the main streets. Perhaps from when she was still a little ruffian running around, and hiding out in them with Josh. She took his hand, feeling his pulse beneath her finger tips. He seemed so nervous now, her own fault. She'd had a time or two she went a little more than crazy on him. She hardly ever yelled, yelling let people near by know. Let them hear. She never yelled. “We'll be fine Josh.” Pulling him a bit she looked around for the Costco. She had cut all of her hair off only a few months ago and it had grown an inch, maybe even two in that short time. It was what she did when she was in the most trouble it seemed. She cut it all off when she was younger because it got in the way of fighting. Got in the way of trying to see. The same reason she cut it off months ago. She grew it long because she liked it that way, as messy as it was. Josh liked it that way too. She smiled at him, holding tightly to his hand. “We need to stock up our kitchen again. I've got to try and feed you, Ethan and Mercury. And someone ate the chocolate chip cookies.”

Notes: He is chilling out lol

The world outside the walls of camp Jupiter, was a beautiful place, always surrounded by amazing landscapes and constructions, always active and changing. It was something that the son of Mercury had always loved. He hadn't minded the punishments along his life in the legion, if that meant he could go out and see all of its beauty. even before Rhia and after her too. He simply couldn't stop going out there. For him it had nwver been a bad place or a dangerous place. Well... He knew it was dangerous but never cared before, not until that day standing in that alley holding Rhia's hand.



In the past months, he had realized that she was his life line, that he could even let his soul get completely damned if that meant she was going to be safe and fine. So, in that moment standing in that alley, he felt the need to protect her more than any other thing in the world, even more knowing she was pregnant with their child. Then she moved and told him they would be fine. He sighed in frustration and agreed not really wanting to do it.



"Listen, I know you think I'm half insane for being so cautious, but I really think we should be." He said as they walked to the entrnce of Costco. he looked  around and ocntinued walking, why was he so nervous? after all they weren't three big kids, Mercury and Trivia wouldn't atract so many monsters, so maybe she was right and they could be just fine. then she commented about stocking the kitchen again. She had another point there. All of the mercury kids ate like by two, and well his father ate like Ethan, Lance, Rick, Zidane and Josh together... and being a normal day not being really hungry, so...  She was right, they needed to buy more of everything.

"ok... ok... I'll chill out and enjoy this fine going out to the supermarket with my beautiful wife." He smiled and then walked with her. He looked at her while they were going into the entrance and noticed her hair was a bit longer, she looked as she was, wild, free, beautiful and unique. He couldn't really remember the first time she let it grow, but he really thanked the gods she did, not because she looked bad with it short, but because it made him crazy in the good way, they way she looked with it long. "so... the cookies... well that is easy, Rick eats those, she loves them."

She was trying to joke around with him a little bit, trying to make his mood lighten. It was difficult for her. She normally insulted, and scoffed at people. Even Josh. Especially Josh, because he could take it. Years he proved that, but now he seemed so scared. They had been attacked a few times when they went outside, most specifically she could remember them being attacked in Japan while out on a date. “It's the new parent thing I think. Worried, cautious. But we'll be fine. I'll watch your back, and I know...you'll watch mine?” She used to be so sure of that fact. That Josh would always watch out for her. Be her best friend. But she was back in wondering about that. If she could trust anyone really. Part of her heart, her mind, would tell her not to trust. That she was the only one who could keep her safe. Another part told her she didn't deserve to be safe. Then there was that tiny bit of clarity that told her it was okay to live, and to rely on Josh. She tried to listen to that voice more often. Tried to feed that voice so it could be heard over all the others. Though it was difficult at times, as long as Josh was at her side she could do it.

Well she didn't think she was pretty, she really didn't think much of herself in general, but she wouldn't argue. Just roll her eyes a bit at him. She liked when he told her she had worth, and when he said she was pretty. Anything good, she liked it. Though she'd deny it to the ends of the Earth, at least Josh thought well of her. Love is blind and all that. “Good. I'll love you even after your hair turns grey, but let's not rush it?” she looped her arm through his. Holding him closer. She needed that sometimes, just to feel he was there next to her. Too many times in Orthys she woke up without him there. Happy dreams, angry dreams, terrifying dreams, any dream she'd wake up and touch her bed, her sword. Make sure she was real, she was awake and alive. It was a disturbing reality when you didn't know what reality was.

“Uh huh. All Rick.” she said in a disbelieving tone. She'd seen him sneak cookies more than once before, for years. She'd seen him going into shock from chocolate. Because he liked it so much. Like an idiot he keeps getting himself killed for what he likes. At least she didn't hear about him needing to go to the infirmary from his allergy this time, if he ate the cookies. She knew Mercury for the most part never ate what she marked as hers. Something about pregnant women and disasters, at least when you take their food. She only ate chocolate sometimes at the moment, since it generally had caffeine in it. She'd have to pick and choose how much she had, because for normal babies caffeine wasn't good. For a Mercury baby, she didn't want to guess. His heart beat was already strong and fast.

They got to the doors of Costco and Rhiannon produced the membership card Mercury had given them. The carts where huge, she grabbed one anyway. Who knows what they were actually going to get? “You want to look around snacks first? Or...there's electronics. See if we can find any movies.... or shows... if you wanted to watch them?” She had started to watch TV and movies more often, since she had extra time. Sure there was the work she was assigned to make up for her betrayal ( which she'd never make up for ) but other than that she had nothing to do. No cohort trainings. She was supposed to be stress free or something along those lines, at least that's what her doctor recommended. Which was difficult in and of itself, add on being a Roman, and being a traitor living in the city she betrayed. Yes. Totally stress free.

Notes: lol he is funny sometimes... not always.

For years Josh had convinced himself that he deserved no one to be with him, that he was rotten to levels that no one would survive being at his side, not to mention being by his side. His Step father had been really careful to tattooed it in his brain, he was useful a piece of junk that he had to bare with. Josh learnt that very well since the first time the man beat him up until Josh lost consciousness and woke up in the hospital. No one visited him the 2 weeks he spent in there and he had to go back to the house where that man lived because he needed to protect Rick. Year after year till his step mom got to their lives and it finally ended when they went to New Rome.

But even when he would never see that man again, his words were still like rusty knives stabbing his soul. It wasn't until he met Rhia that he started believing that he wasn't that bad, that even when he was just a stupid thief, he deserved a bit of happiness in his life. So no matter how many things they lived or how many people passed through their lives as friends, enemies, lovers... he would only need Rhia in his life to find that happiness. so the moment she asked him out he knew he would never let her go, she would always be by his side. Josh trusted others, but Rhia... even when she went with Saturn, Rhia had all of Josh's trust, he handed her his life more than once and he would do it again.

"Hey! I'm sure I'd look mysterious and sexy with gray strays..." He joked with her as they walked into the huge store. He looked around and first thing he saw were the electronics. He had noticed how she became more and more fan of those mortal series, he liked more the series transmited from Olympus TV, well frankly he was stealing the sign, but he hoped they didn't charged him or something... after all his father spent a lot of time in his house too. Then she also repeated his brother's name. "I swear he eats them!" then smiled at her. He knew why she was not trusting his word. He used to eat chocolate not carying about his health, but this time it wasn't only him and her, Arthur was also in the ecuation, he wasn't going to die out of a cookie, he will be a father soon.

"Well..." he thought and looked at the TVs. "Why don't we go check the electronics and the series, you love mortal series. then we can check on food and snacks." he smiled at her and kissed her hand knowing she wouldn't like a kiss on the cheek with so many people around.

From the moment she met him, to this very day Rhiannon knew in her heart that this man, Joshua Rogers, was an idiot. He was a kind, sweet, funny idiot and she loved him to death for it. He would go through hell for the people he loved, literal and figurative. Of course she was an idiot too, she had doubted him. In her defense she was insane at the time, and was still a bit insane now. Though with Josh she was getting better. Being stuck in the deep dark dungeons alone. Nothing to read, nothing to distract her thoughts. She was her own worst enemy when it came down to it. Picking and prodding at every little flaw. Blowing it out of proportion. Josh was allowed to visit her an hour everyday, and it helped. She tried to sleep as much as possible otherwise. Though she was already falling just short of sanity while in there alone, then someone came. Not Josh. That shadowy figure, Yates boyfriend incidentally. That was a bit of a weird realization. Her torturer was going out with the head medic. Weirder things did happen, the fact Josh loved her at all was evidence to this fact.

Self esteem was never very high with the two of them, but they could starve off the doubts each other had just by being together. This person loves me, so I must have some worth was the general idea behind it. She knew Josh's insecurities, and had tried to battle them for years. Telling him how he was much more than his stepfather had ever seen. More than he could ever know. Especially now that the man was dead, but that wasn't for her to care about. She only cared about the impression he left on Josh. Cared about how he hurt him, and how she could bring him back from it. Unfortunately, she had hurt him more instead.

He probably would look handsome with some grey hairs, and before she would think nothing of it. Now there was a small pang in her heart that told her if he was even more handsome he'd find someone else. That there was no way he would stay with her. What was once pure blind faith in him, was now twisted with betrayal and jealousy. “You're already sexy, and I know everything about you. No mystery there.” she said with a smirk, playfully nudging him just a bit. Her arm still looped through his. She just loved the feeling of having him next to her. “Okay, okay.” she said with a bit of a laugh, she could tell when he was lying. At least to her. He didn't like to lie to her. Not after the time she got mad at him when they were young. She told him as long as he always told her the truth she'd be his friend. She just didn't accept lies.

It didn't matter if it was on the hand or cheek, she blushed at his kiss. “I wouldn't say that I loved them.... but I do like them. It's not just the mortal ones I like, but we can't by the Olympus ones in a mortal store.” she wasn't sure they could buy the Immortal's shows from anywhere. Mostly they were dreams, or people the gods found interesting. Real people, not just the fake ones on TV. It was weird, and especially when they were people from Camp. If she was honest the Venus Channel was more like a rated xxx channel, though there was the horror channel from Somnia. That was fun, but she was sure she added to it once she went to bed after watching. “Oh, Ironman. You know I should show this to Amelia. I bet she'd get a kick out of who Tony Stark looks like.”

Joshua walked down the aisles with Rhia, he would usually walk fast and impatiently up and down the place and wouldn't have cared about the people around him, but when he was with Rhia, he walked at her pace, now that she was pregnant and... huge, because that was the word, he walked even slower, he didn't want her to get tired or agitated, he had been trying to read books about pregnancy, also got some audiobooks about it too, he had learnt that women in her condition, should exercise, but never agitate, they should eat plenty but not in gluttonery. Kyle had been so kind to lend him several audiobooks about it, also got the time to sit with him and explain to him some of the medical stuff he didn't understand. so now he felt still paranoic, but a bit more confident about his actions with rhia.

He chuckled when she said she knew him so well, he wasn't misterious for her anymore. "come on! that is needed to be changed... maybe improved! we need a mistery night! A night for only you and me." smiles and then walks a bit more looking for one of those wheelchairs. "do you think you need a chair or you can walk all the place?" he asked and then smiled at Rhia, he was almost sure she would want to walk, she was tough like that. then he looked around and saw the movie she wanted, Iron man. "do you think she'd like that? after all the problem that it cost her and Gabriel?" smiles at her and then takes an Iron man package, the three movies in one package. "don't you want the whole marvel comics movies set?" Smiles at her, both of them were fans so maybe it would be good if he got all of them.

Then he thought about where they could buy the other kind of shows, he loved some from his father, they were amazing cultural shows, where several parts of the world were shown, not only that but also the mythical places and places where demigods could go peacefuly. also those shows where Apollo showed how to paint or how to be an orchesta man... well that was one of his children in fact. And he knew of a show that Iris had for children. Cute show and he knew Art would love it. "maybe i should ask my father about the shows from there. what do you say?"

You'd think that Rhiannon being an introvert, and only going outside so people she cared about didn't worry about her mental health, it wouldn't be difficult for them to have alone time. Though between Josh's friends and family dropping by all the time, not to mention Trivia's random encounters, it was actually a bit difficult. A night alone might be exactly what they needed. She said so readily that nothing about him was a mystery, but she hadn't even known he loved her for three years before she confessed to him. Perhaps there was some kind of mystery to him, maybe something had changed in the nine years they had known each other. She knew something inside of her had changed, in her heart and mind. Some of the food she liked and didn't like had changed too. “Yeah. Mystery night.” was her little bit of a reply, but it was her smile, and her eyes that let him know how much she was actually looking forward to it. Though she simply had to roll her eyes at his next comment, at the blue eyes she saw searching for a wheelchair. “No Josh, I'm fine.” holding his hand she pulled his attention back to her. She wasn't what she expected for being almost ready to give birth, in fact she still only looked like she was a few months pregnant. Though she did waddle a little bit, and the pressure the baby put on her hips was a little painful at times. She wanted to keep walking, if she could, since light exercise was good for him and her.

With a bit of a shrug she looked over the movie. “She has to see something in him. Dating a god, what's so great about it? They can't stay with you.” she shook her head a little bit. “I can imagine a celebrity crush, but a child is a little much. And cheating on someone who loves you...” She put the box back down, she would sooner die than cheat. Even involuntarily. Though death wasn't anywhere near the top of her list of 'Worst Things in the World'. No that had to go with people who murdered and beat children. People who made others feel like they were worthless. She'd done those things, the things she'd rather die than ever do. Josh's voice brought her eyes back up to him, and the box set of movies. With a smile and a nod, the dark haired daughter of Trivia put the bundle into the cart. “I haven’t seen the third one yet.”

“If you wanted, you can ask him. I like the one that's the truth behind the myths. About everything Roman.” she smiled, loving those kinda of show. The ones that gave you information you never knew, and she hoped maybe Arthur would like them too, though perhaps not that show. Not until he was older. Even when he was in the legion, he was going to come home for family nights. She had decided. They'd play a game, eat dinner, and watch something together. Just to keep the family together, to let him know he was loved and always welcomes home.

There wasn't much else she wanted in that section, and moved a bit towards the next. So many things caught her eye, though she didn't want them. Just strange things she wasn't particularly expecting to see, and in such large quantities. Though she did have to get a box of white hot chocolate, Josh could even have some since white chocolate had no actual cocoa in it.
