Zoète Liefdesgod❅ War was finally over, it seemed that Romans were finally getting back to the right path, all of them needed some good time of relaxation and peace! and thank to the Gods, the praetors and the centurions were helping and allwong all of them to have a common life in that moment, well as common as a roman could live. Easy drills, and trainings, even First cohot was being softer, relaxed, the longest drill lately was one of 12 hours and it was with both, Chris and charlie... well that was nice. People still needed to feel like they were still teens, which didn't hurt at all! to get back some of the innocence that all of them lost back in war. And maybe that was what brought Zoe to the lake, that want and wish to have fun again, to find again that part of herself that wasn't a warrior or the shadow of it, but just a teen, just a girl that loved to play around. also the other thing that brought her to that place was a promise she had done to the son of Vulcan, Ronan Redpath. They had talked about his homeland, the frozen land where he had been born. The ice, the hard lakes where you could skate. Well Zoe had promised him to freeze a side of the lake so both of them could ice skate for a while. So that morning she just walked to principia and slid a note under Ronan's door. "Dear Ronan, If you're not too busy, I'd love you to meet me by the lake. Bring your Ice skates with you. See you. Zoe" She had written it in a very well legible handwritting in Russian, she knew it was still difficult for him to read, but he was such a hard worker that she knew that soon he would do it perfectly. Also in Russian, because he had been teaching her, and she had also tried very hard to learn it well. After doing that, she walked to the Lake and there she looke for the perfect spot, the place where the water would freeze better and where they wouldn't hurt others.  Finally she found the spot and knelt on the ground and put her hands on the surface of the lake, it instantly started freezing. at first only a thin layer, then after like a minute it was a thick layer and wide too. She then only waited for him. She put her skates on and then started skating on the huge thick piece of ice. She could have been an olympic skater, but... well things happen in life.  I'll stop the world and melt with you

Here lately he had been a bit busier than usual. Not so much as he was the only centurion working, but Josh had gone missing again. Ronan knew the man would make an amazing centurion, but gods be damned if that boy didn't always go missing at the worst of times. Josh was his friend and he was worried. But he still had a mountain of things to do. Starting with his office. When he had been made centurion, he had been given an office in the principia and also a key to the armory and the fifth cohort file room. His first priority had been to get the file room into some semblance of order. That took a lot longer than expected. His fourth night of trying to work on said file room, Tessa had visited him and he had an episode, going into flames and burning her. He felt so bad about it. But he had gotten better, he hadn't had an episode since then. Maybe it had something to do with the state of exhaustion that he had been in trying to prepare for war. Training, repairing arms and armor, building plans for siege weapons, and making sure that everyone could be communicated with was important. But if he kept going the way he was going, he'd be likely to have another moment of combustion and that wasn't good for anyone.

But he unlocked the door of his office, pushing aside a few boxes of papers to be sent down to archives, he spotted a note on the ground. It might have fallen or it had been slipped under his door, he wasn't sure. But he picked it up and he smiled. Zoe's been getting pretty good at Russian. The language he had been teaching her, it was his mother tongue. It looked like a child's writing but none the less it was good for someone who hadn't been fluent for the past forever years. He remembered the last time they spoke. He had written her two letters during the war and gave them to her all at once. But his English was improving and his handwriting had gotten better. It was still easier to write in Cyrillic than English but he'd get there. But he couldn't help but smile at the note. He remembered talking to her about his home land. Russia, the cold and frozen north, a place that most would think fitting for a child of Kihone like Zoe was instead of a child of vulcan. But he hefted up the four boxes under his arms and dropped them off down the hall in the archives, signing off that the legionnaire that got stuck at that duty today, and walked back to his office. He took the letter and placed it in his back pocket. HE turned the lock, listening to it click as he then walked out of the principia.

Ronan stopped by the forge, nodding at his siblings before grabbing his skates that he kept on a nail in the back. He'd have to work hard on Nova's spine later. He had gotten some progress on the technology, but he needed a chance to test it out. He'd get up with edmund about it later. He swung his skates over his shoulder as he then walked through the Pomerian line, a wave a terminus and then to hang out at the lake. It was easy to spot where Zoe was. She was easy to spot with the curve of the frozen lake. He carefully walked up being her, quiet, trying to be sneaky. "It almost looks like home." He said with a grin on his face, smiling at her widely.

Zoète Liefdesgod❅ The ice under Zoe's skates was already a foot thick, and snow kept falling all around her, it was kind of difficult to keep it that way, but Zoe was enjoy it so much that focus on the ice and the cold weather wasn't hard at all. it was hard to keep it like that. "Good that Fall is coming and Winter will come..." she thought and then kept dancing and gliding over the ice, piruets here and there, triplets too, she was just enjoying the ice, the breeze at her face messing her hair as she glide all along the thick ice tray. Suddenly a very deep rust voice spoke to her, she smiled and then half with a spin, so she faced him from the distance. Then she bowed at him as a ballerina would do. She skated back to the shore where he was standing. SHe smiled at him the whole time. "Well, I really hope so you know?" then she placed her fingers on his cheeks, thank the gods she was wearing the skates, it made it easier for her to do it. "you look very handsome and sweet when you smile... did you know that? there is where your melting power dwells." She blushed as she said so, then she lowered her hand and breathed deeply feeling his warmth. Usually she would run away from temperature like that, but for some reason she just couldn't run away from him, Ronan wasn't a destroying fire, but a warm fire that kept you cozy in a winter night. Some snow flakes fell over them and the ones getting closer to Ronan just turned into water drops very close to his body. she smiled at the sight and then looking at him tilted her head inviting him to get on the ice. "come, I promise it won't break... It's think enough and I'll be here al the time." she skated a couple of feet away from him and lifted a hand in his direction as inviting him to hold her hand. She didn't know what he felt for her, but she for sure had a crush on him. It was ironic that the man of fire was the one to melt her for so long frozen heart. Ironic and even logic. Well not for her, Fire was what she feared the most, still with him fire was something good and safe to be around and touched with. "my mother is going to come and freeze my sorry heart one of these days... but I'm sure... Ronan would melt it again... Venus must be delighted... Ice girl crushed with a fire boy." she thought and smiled waiting for him. I'll stop the world and melt with you
