Tag: Eve Words: 578 | I'd rather sleep my whole life away Miyuki stifled a yawn, attempting to move her hand to cover her mouth. There was the jingle of metal on metal, and a tug on her other arm. The feeling of cold hard cement under her face, and the throb in her neck. Her drowsy mind tugged a moment, her body relaxing against the ground as she began to groggily wake up. The soft sound of someone sleeping near by. People were always so noisy when she tried to sleep, something from her grandpa seemed to make every noise wake her up. Though when someone used sedative on her it wasn't always the case. She finally opened her eyes, blinking into the dimly light room. Blinking away the sleeping dust in her eyes she began to move. Rolling over so she could actually stand up and wander over to the door. Small bars lined a square hole, allowing her to peak into the hallway. A guard seated in a chair, and leaned up on the door, asleep. A bit of a giggle escaped her, no one must have told them about her sleeping aura. She couldn't exactly control it when she was unconscious. It didn't make people fall asleep per say, but it made you a bit tired. Made you want to sit down for a moment. Romans where so stubborn, and she hardly got more than a yawn out of them. Everyone else on the other hand, especially normal mortal humans, they had difficulties staying awake once they sat down. “Hey, Mr.Guard. Be careful or Somnus will kill you in your sleep.” She said with a quietly, and perhaps a hint of laughter in her voice. The guard hardly stirred though, not that Miyuki had turned off her aura. No reason when people were being so rude to her. Leaving her on the floor of a cell. Not even a blanket. It didn't take her long to remember exactly how she got in this situation. She had gone out with a group of friends, and by out she had in fact gone out of the safe little valley. There was too much fun interesting things going on in San Francisco. They were a group of girls, though warriors and demigods, just teenage girls. Laughing, having fun. In the park they were surrounded by strangers in what seemed like riot gear. One of the girls would be able to shadow travel back, but not with so many tag alongs. She really didn't want to do it, but she needed to be the distraction. She held out her hands so they could cuff her, but she touched one of their hands instead. Finding the memory he didn't want to remember most. Nothing too terrible really, but it left him shaken. Funny how different these people were from demigods. Not as mentally tough she supposed, but she let her hands be free and moved behind the soldiers. Making some of them turn, giving the others a chance to escape. As she pulled out the thread of thin metal wire there was a prick in her neck. Now she was here. She hoped the others where able to get away. They were also in fourth and fifth cohorts, so perhaps a bit more willing to leave her? She wasn't sure. They seemed scared though. Had they even seen guns before? Why had they wanted to capture them? Normal humans. She looked at the sleeping guard. “Guard-san, you'll fall over like that.” Than have you keep me from dreaming Lyrics from Fairytale by Sara Bareilles Code done by step |
