Lilith worked too much. That was the real issue here. Ignoring the fact that it was not her fault at all, simply that the infirmary was way too busy from the last war games it would seem. He too had had his go in there from a sprained ankle, but honestly, was there anything short of death that ambrosia and nectar could not fix? Probably not. But on to the important stuff. It was high time that Mr. Ethan Rufus Hunter the Third (okay, not the third) pulled his beautiful, wonderful, spectacular, awe-inspiring, funny, sweet, et cetera girlfriend from the clutches of daily duty. He had a surprise for her. Insert evil laugh, because that made everything dramatic. So he dressed in his warmest stuff and slipped into her barracks to “steal” some warm clothes for her from her own assortment, and jammed them into a backpack along with a fleece blanket he may or may not have borrowed from the first cohort barracks. Seriously, Frisco did not get cold enough to merit a fleece blanket. Not even one cool enough to have Alice and the Cheshire Cat on it.
Backpack on shoulder, he made his way to the infirmary. Naturally, though, he did not take the usual entrance. What fun would that be? Nope, he found a window a little too high up and went about taking a full twenty minutes getting it open and then getting his backpack and his self through the opening, humming the Mission Impossible theme through most of the efforts for good measure. Thankfully, the room was unoccupied. That could have been awkward. He shouldered the backpack and made his way out into the hall and through the infirmary until he got to the office he had not visited in far too long. The door was cracked open, and considering he was him, he didn’t bother to knock. Hey, he didn’t hear any voices inside, so it would appear that no one was doing anything important (excluding possible paperwork, but who was counting that?). He pushed the door open a little more and peaked in. “Lily-ily-ilith!”
