The blonde haired praetor of Camp Jupiter walked through the street of one of the neighborhoods on the outside of New Rome, luckily within walking distance of the forum so it was easily accessible if a certain wife needed to go and take potential children to get something to eat. Not that he had either of those things, yet, but it was a possibility for the future. Though part of him was fighting with the option of rather to stay in New Rome at all or to go back out and restart his acting career. He still had a year and a half or so in the legion anyways and since he was due to be married in less than a month he figured that maybe Clare and him could have a little place of their own. Rhia and Josh were able to that, granted Rhia was dishonorably discharged and had a kid. Maybe that had something to do with Josh being able to live outside of his cohort barrack. Oh well, he'll probably ask Remus for special permission or something if possible.
Of course he wasn't going to buy anything today, just looking or house hunting as they call it. If he was about to actually buy a house he would have Clare there with him. He was just daydreaming also he was worried about not impressing Clare or fulfilling her wihes. She was the light in his life, which was something extremely special for a child of the sun. Yet it was there. He looked at the house magazine in his hand and looked at the vacant hosue lot in front of him. Three bedrooms, two bath and a big yard. It was like a house you would find in suburban America that would promote the so-called American dream. As great as that sounded he had a feeling Clare would want something closer to water so that she could teach the kids to swim and practice their water powers. It was something nice to picture that caused him to smile. He looked at the neighboring house and saw children practicing with toy swords as their mom read a book on the porch. To think, one day he was going to have a life like that. Quiet and at peace with a family. To someone who had never had a traditional family ever in his life it was something the praetor was looking forward to.
