New home, new life. Things were different. He had a lot of adjusting to do. Liam had never been been in such close proximity before to so many people. It was strange. No more orders, no more killing. He couldn't believe that there were people here willing to help him adjust to such life. Apollo and Mercury had helped him find a place to live, he had a job training some of the younger children in Archery and weapons. It was nice and the kids weren't as bad as some of the people made them out to be. He was talking more, relaxing more, finding his way around and despite the fact that he was getting used to the whole gods thing, when he first moved into New Rome, Terminus came as a rather large, loud and surprising shock. The gods were here, moving around and interacting with people, it was strange to say the least. He wasn't quite sure what to make of it. He had an apartment on the top floor above the Apothecary shop. There were all sorts of strange smells that came from the little shop but for the most part they were quite wonderful. They had all sorts of soaps and stuff. Before he came here, he hadn't quite understood the wonders that good herbal soaps could be.
He had been off adventuring, looking around and creating a mental map of the city. He also liked to climb up on roofs and seeing the sun. The higher he could go the better he felt. There was a wonderful bell tower on top of the university that provided such a great view. It was easy for him to climb up there and scout out his surroundings. It was training that had been bred into him. He could see better. But he found himself at the lake. One of the places that he neglected to take care of in his adventures. Liam had lunch on him. Some fresh bread, some cheese, a few fresh vegetables from a vendor some dried meat, it was actually the best food he had eaten in the longest time. Well Miyuki's food nonwithstanding. What was today, he wondered. It was Wednesday, that meant pizza night. Miyuki and Eve were invited, and if Eve couldn't come into New Rome, he'd go to her. He cared about his family here, Eve and Miyuki and hell, even Apollo. He had put an invitation to pizza night on Apollo's altar. He hoped that he had gotten it but Liam hadn't quite put his hopes into it.
Liam sat down and watched over the water, eating some of the food. It was quite a lovely sight. He felt the sun down on his face as he smiled. He had a lot to smile about these days. Liam tried to smile, he was learning to read, how to do things that he should have learned when he was younger, but he didn't because of how he was raised. He had practiced hard, but he still was having a hard time. It was kindda embarrassing that he couldn't do things that the other kids were doing better than he was.
