It had been nine years since Meghan had been above ground. During that time, she had gotten used to the underworld, fascinated by everyone who drifted into the line, or stayed waiting. She had millions of conversations. Some with children like her, some with mothers, fathers, siblings, and any other type of person a living one could imagine. Actually, she never ran out of people to talk to. Although it could be really sad sometimes, it could be happy every once in a while too. People being reunited, people having lived full lives, people slipping out of their pain. And then her contentment shattered a bit. Of course, she had seen a lot of people in uniform flock in at once before. Her dad explained it as something bad with a lot of fighting, and a lot of people dying. He called it a war. But usually they'd come in with long looking metal things (something she eventually learned to recognize as a gun). These people were different though. People from a world that seemed foreign from the one she was currently in (or was that even possible?). People with spears, shields, swords, banners, and odd tattoos on their arm.The tattoo had writing: a word that Meg couldn't read, along with lines, and a picture or two. They all matched. They came in uniform. They came twice. She knew better the second time. Her mom had explained a little bit. Something called Camp Jupiter. Social Studies class brought to life. A life that regular people didn't know about. Of course Meg believed it. Why wouldn't she? It sounded awesome! Her dad, on the other hand, took longer to come to terms with everything. That's where her brother had gone... to the Camp that gave funny tattoos. Soon, the stories weren't enough. She wanted to see the Camp. The place she had been entitled to go to, but never had. It sounded kind of fun: a lake, a big open field, an obstacle course, something close to their own town, being protected from the monsters that used to come after her brother. So, with curiosity as her drive, she found Mr. Pluto, and resurfaced. Word must've traveled fast, because once she was up, she met two really nice people (lars, they called themselves) who were also dead: Nick and Kaylee. She wondered if they were together like her mom and dad. They certainly seemed like it, the way they would look at each other. But they looked much younger.... and they were dead. And she didn't think she saw them come into the underworld... unless she had missed them. Ah well! Two more people to go exploring with! Now, she was hovering in something called "the Field of Mars". There was a little lone tree on the side, while everything else was dirt. People started coming early in the morning with weapons that she had seen in the underworld. They would fight each other, practice on dummies... It almost looked like they were in practice to be pirates! It also seemed like most of them didn't know they had a dead six year old watching them.OOC: Hope this is okayIC: 525
