So apparently a lot had been going on. Sure, the camp was going through a lot, and he respected that and tried to help guide through that where he could, but there were other proverbial fish to fry. Fish that had to do with his daughter. Fish that actually had nothing to do with fish seeing as they actually dealt with a son of Jupiter, who probably would not like to be likened to a fish. That was Neptune’s department. What would he call a son of Jupiter? His right half tended to avoid nicknames for politeness sake, but Left was all for them, usually to the face of the one in question. Today, he thought he best leave out too may nicknames. Today was special. Today was Interrogation Day.
So Janus was off, keeping it to one face for simplicity’s sake. He might change that though, once he found the boy. Intimidation was good. Even if he didn’t have the tools that Pluto had, since the two had spoken at length about how to deal with suitors. He wouldn’t mind borrowing that tour of the Underworld idea. For now, he would just go with what he had. Where to find the lad though? He was recently out of the infirmary, so that was so much for cornering him there. Supposedly he was going to undergo some kind of shock therapy procedure to get his memory back. Promised to be fun. As long as he didn’t get himself killed in the process. He didn’t know much about the boy to be duly upset if he, ahem, didn’t make it, but he knew Marie would be. Okay, that sounded harsh. He did want to get to know the boy, seeing as they would be family before long if today went well. Big if. See, this lad thought he was in the clear, to be sure. He thought it was smooth sailing from here, no doubt. Surprise.
He went to the Principia and didn’t bother to knock. Either way, he was invisible to everyone, so he simply walked right past the offices of the praetors without bother. The dogs didn’t even see him. He thought about stopping in the file rooms and looking up every last word on this Chris boy, not that he hadn’t been doing his research all along, but still. However, seeing as he was intending to get it from the mouth of the young man himself, then there really was no point, right? He wanted to hear it from the one in question. He came to the office door of some Christopher Ashby and knocked, hoping his intuition was right and he would actually be here. He needed a private word.
