Popoff had been at the club for a grand total of ten minutes before he had enough of it. His sister, Vasilisa and Legacy of Mercury, had drag him out into the San Fransico nightlife. Vasilisa thought that Popoff would enjoy a live music venue nightclub since he was a legacy of Apollo. She couldn't have been more wrong if she tried. Popoff found the music to be bland covers of songs that should have embarrass the band off stage by now, but they kept on playing. There was hardly anyone on the dance floor besides maybe some drunks. The worst part was the fact that he kept catching people looking at him like he was some kind of animal. He was annoyed and pissed off at the whole situation. This was the last time he let his sister drag him anywhere. Vasilisa had just got him some American identification including a drivers license, Social Security Card, and a couple of other things so he could have an identity out of New Rome. They were suppose to test out the driver's license tonight at the club, but ten minutes into them arriving she got a call from work and they needed her help. She took the call outside where she could hear what was up better. Vasilisa had open a tab with her card and Popoff was drinking on it, Vodka on the Rocks.
Popoffed was wearing a black oxford shirt tucked into some nice black slacks. The shirt was fitted to the man and it snug him tightly showing off his good points. The top button was undone since Popoff wasn't wearing a tie. His brown shoes matched his belt and his faded leather fedora. His hair had been cut recently and was only a few inches long now. His nose that was crooked until a couple of days ago had been set strait and was mostly healed thanks to ambrosia. Popoff's teeth was full of wholes and what not, but his oldest sister was suppose to take him to a dentist tomorrow about that. His face still had the silver scars over it and the injury to his neck barely showed now. Popoff had a little bit more meat on his face now and he only looked like he was seconds away from death now instead of looking like the undead. The bags under his eyes had started to fade away as well.
Popoff stared at the liquor bottles on displayed behind the bar and read them nonchalantly as he waited for his sister to come back. Krupin did his best to ignore the occasional stares followed by whispers. He hated that with all the fury he could muster. He hardly notice when a man nervously order some drinks beside him. At first, Popoff thought that he was making the man nervous, but realize he was looking around the room more then looking at Popoff. He ordered a Rum and Coke and a martini. The man paid for the drinks with a twenty and told the bartender to keep the change. The rum and coke came first and Krupin noticed in his peripheral vision that the man look around the room before slipping something out of his sleeve into the drink. The man relaxed thinking that nobody saw him Popoff heard about people slipping things into people's drinks from his sister and that he should watch his drink to make sure no one tried that with him. Krupin really didn't understand the situation, but the man was behaving strangely and he did not like that.
The Matini came a second later and when the man tried to grab both of the drinks to carry them off. Popoff grabbed the man's closest arm with a death grip. The man winced in pain as he meet Popoff's red eyes. Krupin scowl at the man before saying in a low voice barely audible, “I would recommend you drink that beverage you slipped a drug into right now unless you want to look as pretty as me.” Popoff flashed a nice big smile at the man. The Vodka gave Popoff a bit of a flush in the face making his silver scars become a more apparent reddish color. The man became pale and his other hand began to shake as he downed the rum and coke the best he could when terrified. Once the man finished drinking, “Now I would recommend you leave and hope I never see you again. I hope that drug doesn't mess with you too much” The man didn't even hesitate before making a b-line towards the door. Probably to go vomit whatever he just drank.
A few seconds later a woman came up behind him and asked what had happen to the man who was just next to Popoff a few minutes ago. Popoff responded with the first thing that came to his mind without even bothering to look towards the woman. “He said something about his wife coming home early from something and then made a b-line to the door.” The woman swore under her breath and stormed back to her seat. Popoff didn't care if the woman ever found out about what had happen. Krupin only did it because it felt right.
After the woman had left, Popoff heard a strange noise coming from his pocket as he did his best to pull out a small Samsung Galaxy phone his sister gave him. It took him nearly three minutes to figure out how to unlock the blasted thing and see that his sister sent him a 'Text Message'. It read 'Hey bro, I have to go into the office for a bit. I'll be back in an hour, so don't run up my tab too much.' Popoff scoffed at it as he drop the phone on the bar. Great now he was stuck here for at least an hour while he waited for his sister to come back. What was a man like Popoff suppose to do.
