Just because Rhiannon didn't know how to swim didn't mean she didn't understand the importance of learning how to swim. So here she was at the lake, standing in the shallow part of the water in her one piece bathing suit. Little Arthur kicking and splashing in the water and his mother kept good hold of his hands. Certainly he had little water wings to keep him afloat, but she still wanted that added security. It showed in his movements that he was a mercury kid sometimes, his legs moving faster some times than others. Most likely he'd kick himself away into the middle of the lake where she couldn't get him if she were to let go and look away for a second. Cute and adorable as his face and abnormally curly hair was, he was probably twice the trouble maker. He's been out and about for less than half a year and she could already tell he was going to be a handful growing up. Not that she minded, though he should probably get another hair cut soon. Babies and all their baby pieces like hair and nails seemed to grow so fast.
Arthur hadn't gotten to the point of crawling yet, thank the gods, but he was babbling a whole lot. At anyone and everyone who would look at him. Though she knows it's just baby babble, every time she heard a 'mama' she would melt and talk back to him. She avoided the short baby talk, she heard it was better to speak in full words and sentences. Besides, she was going to have him reading books soon enough. She could sense it, he seemed farther along in the speech category than other babies, though it might just be her imagination. Of course the other option was he was a grand child of Trivia the goddess of knowledge and Mercury god of communication. The frightful thing was how smart kids where already, she never realized before because she hated kids, but they were smart and manipulative!
Arthur kicked and giggled and splashed. From the grin on her face the daughter of Trivia's eyes squinted a bit. Her cheeks puffed and blushing in the bright sunlight. It wasn't her favorite things to be out in the sun, and sure some people said it was still too cold to be in the water, but the only thing that mattered to her was her family. Their happiness was the world to her, and if Arthur wanted to be out in the sunlight, she'd just deal with it.
