MArs wasn't about to lie, he was actually excited about Jupiter's proclimation that he could finally have something to do with his own kids. He hated the fact that he was stuck watching from the sidelines. It was stupid. How was he supposed to be someone his kids looked up to if he couldn't be allowed to make a difference in their lives? Stupid old bastard. Mars ran a hand over his face, but he was smiling. His heart soared as he spotted the toddling child that ran to him with his arms out stretched. "Daddy!" The child shouted as he tripped on his own feet, falling on his diapered butt before pushing himself up again, dusting the dirt onto his overalled pants, and keep running towards mars, happily hugging his leg and rubbing his face into his pants. "Heya little man!" Mars said as he picked the child up and tossed him in the air. He was then reminded by the boys mother to make sure that he took his nap. Mars nodded as he then took the boy with him to the lake. He was quite happy to make sure that he could spend as much time as he could with his kids before that stupid airheaded jerk made more problems for their divine children.
He happily took his son's hand, watching his little legs run as fast as he possibly could. Grabbing the kids diaper bag, he made sure to hand the kid a cup of juice before moving on to the part of the lake shore that was clear of trees. He was going to take his kid to fly a kite today. The least the wind gods could do was make sure that the breezy and nicely sunny day was going to go as planned. No rain. Though he figured Jupiter would at least do his best to rain on his parade, as he generally liked to do. Taking out a Ninja Turtles kite, Mars quickly assembled it before helping him get it into the air. It was such a good day to do something like that. And it also seemed that other people were taking advantage of a good day like today. Some young roman couples were hanging out, having picnics, doing things together, it was nice to see his Romans in such a wonderful state. Despite being a war god, he didn't want a constant state of war for his people. He wanted them to be happy, to be safe.
