They were going to bring this place down! There was no doubt in his mind that they would succeed on doing that. Together there was nothing him and Aoife couldn’t do. It was one of the reasons why when they came to Avetis they persuaded him into restarting the program. What? Sure they kidnapped some demi-gods and experimented on them but it was well worth it. All of the knowledge and everything that they learned from them paid off. Like how to manipulate the children of the big three, that was something that had interested him. For all their power they were powerless to being messed with and having their powers tampered with.

Now in all of New Rome he had made his way to the senate house. What was he doing here? Who knew but something was telling him to come and explore this place today. What? It was better to know your enemy better than you knew yourself. Or something like that. He was going to know the ins and outs of this camp like they were second nature to him. It all had started last year when they had begun kidnapping kids from the camp, no one seemed to notice when he and Aoife were in here and taking away campers.

Walking up to a big bust of Jupiter he shook his head while glaring at it. This man really did have an ego didn’t he? No, he wasn’t the best god out there. Everyone could have a huge debate about who the best one was. Oh right, he defeated Saturn and blah blah, no he had help from his brothers in beating them. The man just got lucky when pulling straws was all. Ripping his eyes from the bust before he got the temptation to break it he made his way around to continue looking around this place. It was New Rome’s center of government. What trouble could he cause here?

You have been charged with treason and betrayal of this camp and it's members to the Titan lord Saturn in this most recent war. How do you plead? Guilty. ..... Fine. The Legion had started to go soft. Felicity, himself, and Rhia. He probably shouldn’t have been proud to think it, but he had gotten more inventive since his time in the Legion’s dungeons. He could now call himself more proficient than ever at repression when awake: remember nothing, blank it out. If he could forget, it meant it never happened. Of course, that was one if the biggest lies he told himself and it had failed numerous times before, but Ed kept that sliver of hope that this time, it would work. But damn it, optimism never worked out for him. As in New Rome, Ed had decided to just wander around randomly until something caught his interest. And he had been doing fine. Until something caught his eye, causing him to freeze. His mind nudged him, draining some blood from his face. Moving toward him was a man. He knew him… No, you do- No, I know him. You never forget the faces of the people who drag you away from home. Even though he was starting to half panic, some of the old him did hope that the man infront of him had been on the receiving end of the broken nose or one of the knock outs. He would even go for the guy's rib he smashed. None of that old ferocity really translated though. It didn’t look like it was going to take him long at all to find some trouble to cause. He was going to be able to mess with someone he captured a long time ago. That was the best part of having worked for the government. The way that they came in here unnoticed and just kidnapped demi-gods and brought them to be experimented on. There was still one that was in the back of his mind and the kid was lucky all he ended up with was a couple of bruises. His eyes looked on the figure of that really quiet emo kid they captured. Ed or something like that. He couldn’t really keep them all straight seeing as there were so many that were captured.

As he walked around and seeing the boy come up to him he smirked. Did this kid really want to take a strike at him? That would be the funniest thing he’d ever see in his life if it really happened. Seeing as the kid just kept staring at him he rolled his eyes and moved closer to the boy. Time to give him nightmares beyond his dreams.

Hearing the kid speak only made him smirk. So this kid really was terrified of him? Well this was going to be a lot more fun than he thought. If only Aoife was with him right now then he could scare this kid to death. The way that he stammered when he first started speaking was enough to tell him that this kid was indeed scared. “Well if it isn’t the little twerp who fought hard.” His eyes bore into the kids as he stared down at him. “You know that little stunt you pulled fighting back made a lot of people angry. Jason in particular really wants to get some payback on you.” Thankfully he had Tempestas blood in him, he could do something to freak the kid out.

“You should be glad that you didn’t hurt Aoife or I, had you then you would be in a world of pain right now. Not to say you won’t be in a minute though.” And cue the fog rolling in clouding everything around them so they could only see each other. “Tell me, have you ever been scared to walk around in the fog outside?” There were always things that went bump in the night and when the fog rolled in, well it was going to be worse.

Now he knew how it felt. He kind've felt bad for the upstanding citizens of New Rome: now they had traitors and government people in New Rome. Both capable of rallying together to bring the place down from the inside. And it'd be the the council's fault for letting them stay. Their goals weren't too far away, and at the root were the same: destroy camp, take it over in some way. One thing or the other. And then they'd probably end up trying to snuff each other out. Watching the older male, Edmund started to hate more and more that weapons weren't allowed here. He had Cinny, sure, but the shredder counted as a weapon, so every time he crossed the border, he had to switch out chips. He could always switch chips and damn the consequences, but he doubted that the older male would give him time to do that. So, he did only what he knew: shut down the emotions, head up, shoulders back, try to control his voice, and fight through. Speaking of fighting... seemed like the guy remembered him, if not only because of how hard Ed fought back. Edmund wasn't sure if that was good or not, but it was something. At least he had made a first impression as a fighter. Even though he half wanted to throw up, he couldn't help the ghost of his old smirk. Fighting back and making people angry by doing so. He was good at that. "Hope... Hope I sent some'veyou t'the medics," he got out, demanding control over his voice and only half succeeding. It was sort of a let down to hear that he hadn't hurt the man directly, but that still left three other people he had bashed. His mind clouded for a moment. Jason? Kyoto? The guy may've hated him but... Context you idiot, context! No, no. The capture team must've had a Jason. Hopefully he had been on the receiving end of his fists, and consequently, a bruise or broken bone. The promise of payback went over his head. He had gotten used to death threats by now. Pain. An intricate part of his life. A constant in his life. One he should've been numb to by now, but wasn't. Edmund exhaled, trying to mentally prepare himself for whatever the guy might do. He couldn't have weapons on him, Terminus made sure of that, but it could always be hand to hand. Or he could just grab the first item he saw and use it as a blunt object. He blinked as a think fog started to creep up everywhere, obscuring everything from his vision except the male in front of him. Not deciding to take the bait, and in an attempt to compose his face into complete indifference, Edmund didn't respond. Despite the pounding in his head and a couple of stars bursting in front of his eyes, his life time of training kicked in, heightening his senses and preparing him for a fight.
