Lilith was checking the list of the injured people from the last training of first cohort. sometimes she thought Ashby and Mack-Jolly were insane. they had injured, stressed, several fainted due dehydratation and other due over work! she had to do something, she knew they had to train, but that kind of training could get someone killed and she didn't want that to happen. Or maybe she should have to start planning on paper the small infirmary movil teams in each cohort. Yes!, maybe that would help and people would end up in the infirmary so often. Not that she didn't like her work, but she rather prevent that treat and heal!
She also signed the papers for the release of Rhia's body. Josh was going to make a fine funeral and then the pyre. She only hope they would be fine, Edmund, Joshua, the baby. she put the paper on a tray and then looked at the next list of papers, she smiled and sighed. Movie nights, tessa had done so well with that. She hoped Tessa was studying very hard. Lilith checked the list of movies and smiled at them. Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping beauty... Classics!! She loved them all!! She needed to check the place and check if it was ok to have the injured people in there. Also... the food, she wanted to find those vegetable chips she had tasted some time ago in a shop in the city, but which one was it?...
Mercury wasn't exactly someone who liked to hang around the infirmary. But there had been a change in the leadership due to some unfortunate circumstances, or maybe it was fortunate. Mercury hated the fates, they were cruel and mean at times. The change in leadership, it went from Tessa to Lilith, then there was that unfortunate accident. Then poor Rhia... Mercury liked that girl. She was a little crazy at times, but she was still dear to him, just as dear as Arthur and Josh were. Mercury hoped that Josh knew all he had to do was ask him and Mercury would gladly watch the little munchkin for him any day. But it was safe to say that he had an ulterior motive for wanting to visit the new head of the infirmary. He wanted to have a little chat with her about something that was close to his heart.
"Well Miss. Lilith, just the person I was looking for, got room in your busy schedule to talk to me?" Mercury said as he appeared behind her with a silent teleport. Mercury was quite a master at being quick footed and silent. "I do hope you're treating my Rhiannon with the utmost care. and I have a favor to ask of you." Mercury licked his lips before continuing on with what he was saying, not giving her much of a chance to talk or speak. "I want you to try to keep a close eye on your centurion, Josh, not Ronan. Report to me any suspicious activity, I don't want him doing anything stupid." Mercury said in a fatherly tone. He was truly worried about his son. He wanted her to keep a close eye on him and figured that Lilith would be the best for the job, mostly because he felt like Lilith would know the signs better than anyone else of psychological or physical changes.
"But the real reason for my visit, what are your intentions towards my Ethan?" He said, narrowing his eyes at her.
Lilith was checking the list of movies when suddenly she heard a male's voice behind her. She squealed and turned to see who he was. When she looked at the man she recognized him, she hadn't seen him in a long while, but she knew him. Mercury... The good god, the god that was always around and gave sandwiches to everyone in need of more than food for the body. She admired him deeply, he always did things that other gods thought were foolish, but Lilith thought that placing a smile on the face of others was an amazing heroic action.
"Lord Mercury..." She said and before she could confirm that she had time to talk to him, he continued talking, so she only nodded at him and closed the notebook that she had in front of her. She looked at him again the moment that he mentioned Rhia, her eyes got sad again, maybe that wasn't good being head of infirmary, but her eyes showed her feelings, they had always done it and maybe she would never be able to block it. "I am..." she barely could say about taking care of Rhia. Then he asked her the favor of checking on Josh.
"I will..." she said and smiled softly. Joshua was her centurion, but not only that, she really cared about him, about Arthur too and even when she had never been close to Rhia, she was glad Rhia had found some peace with them. But after she saw Josh with Rhia's body... She felt his pain, and she was so scared, she had to IM Ethan and listen to his voice. she almost lost him in the past war and since then she tried to keep an eye on her lovely prankster.
Which led also to the next point of Mercury. She looked at him and she smiled softly at him, her cheeks blushed and she giggled sillily. She breathed deeply and without losing her smile she replied to his question. "I love Ethan, My intentions are to make him happy. He helps me to be the best version of myself and I hope I do the same to him. Why do you ask, Lord?" she asked still smiling at him. but was kind of worried about it. What if he thought she wasn't the right one for Ethan?
