tell me if i should run, or learn to shoot a gun
A bead of sweat streamed down Mathias’ neck, as he leaned forward, sitting on the ground. Wow… He wasn’t normally this exhausted after a training, but he really felt this one. His quads were on fire! And not in a good way at all. His muscles ached, and Mathias nearly wanted to keel over in the dirt. Not that he would, he was far better than that, or so he liked to deceive himself into believing. It was just a training, right? Wrong. It was awful. Like a 10 hour leg day after a week of arms, at least that was how it had felt to him. Gods, you’d think after 8 years of training you’d be nearly immune to physical strength. That was like, 100% wrong. He was very well built, but still, there were some days were a nice bed and cool ice bath would do him good. He was working especially hard lately with his training…
There wasn’t much you could do with such an ache that Matt had… Though it seemed as if it was something that would pass in an hour or two taken easy. Merely a result of overtraining, to make up for his neglect to train for the past few days. Going from something light and mostly weapons based, to physical endure that was heavy on the body was a quite arduous task… Too bad it wasn’t a drinking contest, Matt had gotten quite good at those. Mathias went off to the edge of the fields, sitting down on the ground. Not exactly the best choice, as the sweat mixed with earth would create a putrid scented and flaky mud on his clothes, but never mind that. Matt sighed, looking back and out at all the people that watched. He never thought much about people watching, though it was quite a time killer, if you were bored. Sometimes when people were talking, you could pretend to make their dialogue. It was something he was pretty good at, as he had taken theater class in grade school, and it definitely aided in his animated personality.
Mathias noticed someone coming over towards him… Sadly, he couldn’t say that he really knew her name, though he was sure he’d seen her somewhere. For someone who prided himself in the fact that he as great with people, he came to a blank on the terms of her name… Company was always nice however, and small talk was the best way to get to know people. “Hey!”, Mathias called out, as he waved to catch her attention. He winced slightly, at the ache of his back, but he did his best to hide his expression of pain.
