Josh walked into the arena wearing his whole armor for combat. When he was stressed he eiher robbed something or went to fight and defeat whoever was in front of him. That day he wanted to defeat some people, he wanted to destroy as many dummies as he could. He hadn't been that stressed for a very long time, well... maybe not so long, but before he wasn't stressed but depressed, this time he was just stressed and wanting to know what to do, what to say, how to act! He didn't know what to do and his mind and heart were about to blow up if he didn't find a solution soon.
After 6 months of being away, dead to be exact, his wife Rhiannon was back to Camp. Trivia, her mother, saved her from death and turned her into a Nymph of the clouds. Now she was finally back, after all those months where Josh had had to learn how to live again without her, how to feel again without wanting to die in the process, now that his heart was feeling love for a woman again, for someone who brought some peace to his mind in a time of pain and rage! but how to turn his back on the woman who once his wife? and how to forget what his heart felt in that moment?!
He charged against some veterans and defeated one of the real fast, the other took just a couple of minutes. "come on!! I need some good oponents!!" yelled at the rest of them waiting for another combat.
Whoever said anyone's methods of coping at the Legion were healthy? Certainly no one at the Legion. Certainly no psychologist alive on the face of the earth. A stereotypical Legionnaire either drowned themselves in work, training, or alcohol. Never did they truly talk about what they felt. In that way, Edmund supposed he did fit the model. His brain synapses took less than .5 seconds to connect figure and voice to name: Josh. It came as no surprise to see him here; it had just happened to often: for both Josh and himself. Lose someone? Struggling? Feeling badly? Take the pain out on dummies. It was just what they did. Gods knew he did it all the time. Josh had nearly drowned himself in it after Rhia died... and he supposed he was going to do it again since she was back. And why not? Dummies were an easy, quick, non moving target. They shed no blood. One day Ed wanted to make his own fighting robot that he could duel with. No blood or broken anything, but a moving target that hit back.
Today, however, it seemed as though Josh had found live people to fight. It always added an extra layer of excitement. People had minds of their own and could fight back. Most of the time. After watching one or two bouts and hearing Josh's frustration, Edmund decided to offer himself. "Good opponents? Must've missed the memo," he said lightly, snapping his Hello Kitty keychain off. Well, this would be an interesting show for the viewers. No doubt Josh was a good fighter; he could probably even move up, if the Legion wasn't as strict as it was. Did he miss the first cohort? Sometimes. More for the structure than for the people. At least he still had arena fighting which was open to anyone.
