Gabriel was on a mission. He felt as if his present for Sabella wasn't enough. No not after all of those books that she had given him. He loved books, all kinds of books. So he was going to do something really special for her. At least he had this sort of idea in his mind of what he wanted to do but he wasn't sure if it was going to work out the way he wanted it too. But he had to find what he wanted first and that was the problem presently. He wasn't exactly sure what he was looking for. He had went and purchased some of the food he was going to surprise her with a picnic even if it was a bit cold out. He was going to do some soups, maybe some hot sandwiches and some hot chocolate. But the thing that he was looking for the most was some new paints and canvases for her as a thank you for the wonderful present she had given him. The only problem was that Gabriel didn't exactly know what it was he was looking for as far as paint supplies went.
Gabriel felt as if his head was spinning as he looked around the art stall that was out in the open air forum. The cold air nipped at his nose, but with a deep breath and the cold air filling his lungs, it felt great. Winter was pretty awesome if he did say so himself. His step-mother was back where she belonged and his father was happy. Ceres not so much. But Gabriel was grateful that his powers were much more powerful in fall and winter. The days were shorter and the nights were longer with the shadows as well. He watched the breaths of air come out in little white puffs, making him feel like a dragon. Kind of childish and stupid, but it made him smile. A smiling Gabriel was few and far between. He just wasn't sure what exactly to buy. He had heard that the artists were really picky with their paints, so he didn't want to get something that was so cheap that it wasn't worth the money. But then again he didn't want to get something that was going to be expensive and her not like it. He really wanted her to like it. But it seemed like there were less canvases to choose from than there were paints. Maybe he would look at those first.
