Emily sat at her seat by the window in the warm sun and sipped her hot tea. She didn’t like this chilly weather. February was her least favorite month. Nothing much to it but cold. Maybe she’d go to the sauna in the camp part of camp after this. Was she allowed there? Well, she better be. She would make sure it was all hers. Sip. At least it was a bit sunny over here in this seat. She felt the sun warm her dark blue jacket and just about as blue hair. Yes, blue had a way of warming oneself. Sucked in all the heat and trapped it. Dark colors came in handy. Sip. So much to think about. So so much. She liked it here, but looking at her roommate, she thought she might be the only one. That was, who liked it as it was. A home. Jace liked it as a playground. Mel as a battlefield to be conquered. Jake… well, Jake just seemed to like his tree house in the woods. Good luck taking him out of the woods, but even if you could, there was no taking the woods out of him. She sighed. And then there was her. She genuinely liked it here. Here as it was. A town, safe from monsters and becoming lab rats again. A safe place. Yet cozy. Yes, safe and cozy. Sip.
After what seemed to have been over a long period of time, Jake finally decided to come back to civilization. Maybe it was more that he missed having the gang around. Mel with her paranoi and her desire to burn down everything. Jace with his eternal spirit of adventure and laugh. Emily... Well Emily was for him more thn another member of the hang. Emily was to him his life, the air that fullfilled his lungs, the sun light that allowed him to exist. he hadn't noticed about it till some months ago. Now he missed not having her around. So he decided to go and look for her that day.
He got into the city and looked around. He didn't trust people, he had learn that in the facility. But still he trusted his family, his gang. and for him being with them and protect them was his life. He looked around and suddenly he saw her. He walked to where she was and smiled. "Hey..." He waited for her to look at him.

Emily took another sip and stared out the window, idly twisting a strand of blue hair around a finger. Old habit of hers. She heard the door of the place open and close with the chime of a bell, but that was nothing new. People came and went as they pleased. She figured that sound of footsteps had nothing to do with her, as it usually didn’t. Plus she wasn’t in the mood for getting weird looks from people, so she didn’t acknowledge whoever the steps belonged to. Don’t look at them and you won’t see their disgusted look, she figured. Until she heard a voice. A very familiar voice. She started, spilling a few drops of tea before she managed to put it down safely as she turned, her finger untangling from her hair.
“Jake!” She hurried to stand and wrap him in a hug, taking a deep breath. Perhaps it was his heritage, but he simply always seemed to smell of wonderful natural things, like young wood and fresh grass. The smell reminded her of spring, when everything was vibrant and growing. She could stay right here forever, but that would be awkward for standerbys and possibly Jake. So she pulled away and smiled at him. “Aren’t you a sight? Gods, I missed you. I’m sorry I haven’t visited. I wanted to keep a close eye on Mel. I’m worried about her. But you’re here! Come, sit with me! Or we can go walk or anything you like!”
Words: 250 Tag: @jake Notes: I feel bad. You know if you don't feel you can do it, you don't have to. I understand loss of muse. But thank you for trying. Means a lot to me.
The moment that Emily looked at him, Jake felt warmth in his heart, something that not even the most amazing sunrise could make him feel. He smiled gently but fully and completely earnestly at her only because it was the only way he had to reply to her kind smile. Then she got up and hugged him, he kind of jumped when she did it but a second hadn't passed before her hugged her back, tightly, resting his chin on her fresh, silky blue hair. He smiled a bit more and closed his eyes letting her scent, her perfume flooded his senses.
When she let him go, he did it too, he opened his eyes and looked at her keeping the smile on his face, then he nodded slowly at her explanation about why she hadn't gone to visit him. He understood her reasons, and in a way he thank the gods that she hadn't gone to the forest, because she gave him the perfect reson to walk back into the 'civilized' world. She made him miss her, and he missed her very much. So he wasn't upset because she hadn't gone to the forest. He nodded at her and then smiled a bit more.
"I get it, don't worry. I just missed you, so I decided to come and visit you." He said and then tilted his head a bit. "Why are you worried about Mel?" Crazy little Mel, in what problems was she?
