So this is what the Romans did all day? They sat here and trained and trained and trained even more for war? What kind of life was this? It wasn’t a life at all, then again most would say that the life she had back at the Facility wasn’t all that great either. She loved her time there, they had other demi-gods that worked there and knew how powers worked come in and teach them. They were made into weapons and she loved it. Sure this place was nice and she had met some great people here but they seemed kind of soft. They got to be here and train and be happy. If they had lived life back at the base they would know what real training was like.
She walked over to one of the weapon racks and picked up a sword, how hard could this be? If they could do it so could she. Clang! And there went the sword to the ground. What in the name of Venus? Why were these swords so heavy? She tried lifting it up and got it up and stumbled a little. Okay these were no guns and now she had a little respect for these kids. Using both hands she held up the sword and looked to her target, she could do this. She was better than them and she would prove it.
Relying on her training from the base she closed her eyes and focused her breathing, she could do this. She was deadly; she was the one who controlled her enemies’ fates in her hand. Holding the sword up she ran for the training dummy and swung the sword into it with a dull thud. The good news, the sword went in, the bad news her arm hurt like all Hades. “Ouch! What in the name of Venus is wrong with this thing?” She gently held her injured arm and looked as the sword hung in mid air buried in the dummy. “So now you taunt me you blasted thing?” She held her injured arm up and then took her sword in her free hand and gave a pull. “Come free!” Great, now it was making fun of her.
Once her arm started feeling better she tried using both hands and pulled at the weapon as it stayed in. “Come on, come free.” Okay now this was getting more embarrassing by the second. She put her foot up on the dummy and used all her strength and tugged at the sword once more. When it refused to budge she looked up to the sky. “Curse you Mars are you trying to make fun of me!?” With a defeated sigh she plops down on the ground under the dummy and leans against it. “Great, what else can go wrong today?”
