It was a personal training day for Mikayla, she had taken third out to train and make sure they were keeping up. The woman wanted to make sure her cohort was up to par and could one day be able to give a challenge to second and first cohorts. It helped when one of her best friends was in first and she could get tips from her. Thank you for that Charlie. But right now her mind wasn’t on training the others, today she was focusing on battling for herself. She needed to keep her skills on par and make sure that everyone knew she was here as a centurion for a reason. That was why she had set up her own course on the lake.
Sadly the course would drain her powers quickly because she would have to focus on everything she was doing but that would be fine. She pulled out her sword and looked at the course. Thankfully she was in her normal armor, the special armor she had made to hold water in so she could use it while fighting. But right now she was focusing on speed, finesse, and not being hit. Plus, she had stored up enough energy to make sure she would be able for what she was going to do at the end.
After she started up the watercourse she took a deep breath and watched the whole thing as it started to work. Quickly she hopped out onto one of the floating pads and kept her balance and dodged one of the bags that came at her. Dang this course was fast but she was going to be faster. She continued to work and dodge the bags and other hazards and when she got to the end she focused her powers. In front of her the water began to bubble and form into the shape of a water dragon. This is what she had stored her energy for. She could feel the drain on her body and she was in fact slower than she normally would be. But she needed to concentrate.
As the creature came at her she dodge left and just barely got out of the way of the beast. That was close! What was she thinking? It was so quick in it’s attacks. Maybe she was going to regret this but she wanted to make sure that she could train and win in a fight. Her eyes followed the dragon and she brought up her sword as she went in on the attack.
