Colors in the wind... (Alberto)

The colors in the lake were something amazing! Sabella could have spent hours and hours looking at them, feeling amazed and mesmerized by them and wouldn’t have felt bored at any moment, but that day she wasn’t feeling like admiring the colors, which in her case was something to worry about. She was a daughter of Iris, colors and light were a main part of her life, but for a couple of months, her inner light wasn’t really on. She had had fallen for a son of Pluto, and he simply decided to either not pay attention to her, or worse, pay attention to other woman.

People usually didn’t understand what was to have a broken heart, well maybe they would never understand it even if it is explained to them. But to Sabella who didn’t have a lot of her past memories, having a crush and then losing it wasn’t easy at all. She felt that she was all alone again. No friends, no family. She had blurry memories of a brother, but she couldn’t even remember his name, so it wasn’t helping her a lot.

That day she went to the lake to admire the sunset, to see if she could see at least a glimpse of her mother when she massed over the sky with the help of the water in the lake and the light of the setting sun. But wasn’t paying a lot of attention, Her mind flew from the lake to Pluto’s son’s eyes, then back to the lake and then to the blond woman who she had seen him with. Well, it was fate, right? Maybe having no past also conditioned her to have no future? Or maybe the gods only didn’t want her to have a love future.

“Come on Sab… you’re being overdramatic!... am not I?” she spoke to herself thinking that she was completely alone. She was sitting by the edge in an indian position, wearing nothing more than her jeans spotted in colors and her purple T-shirt, her wavy hair was free and moving with the slight breeze that passed by.

Alberto walked away from some people that had given him looks, he rolled his eyes and move his hands deeper in his pockets they could just go to the underworld and stay there for all he cared.

He stopped when he saw a girl by the lake however she somehow seemed a little sad, he sigh and look at her then takes a breath he was not the rigth person to talk to when it came to beeing sad. After all he had never been good at calming down people, normally they would get mad at him for saying the wrong things.

He was near by when he heard her speak. He gives out a small laugh as he stood next to her. "Oh so your one of those girls.. the over dramatic once? So why are you so dramatic if I may ask?" He then asks her and look at her with a small grin on his face.

He then look towards the river, not stading to close. After all he had memories where his powers had gone over board but he had learned how to keep it under control.

Sabella was deep in her own world and didn’t pay attention to the man that had approached to her. She had heard it a million times before, she was a disgrace for the Legion, a hippie flower girl, that wouldn’t hurt a fly. And now she could see why they thought so also in her other skills as a warrior. She didn’t even listen to his steps coming closer, if he had been an enemy or a beast… well she would be as good as dead. Then she heard to his voice and scared for just a second she looked back at the place where the voice came from.

She didn’t recognize him at first, but when he moved a bit, she did. She knew that tall figure, he was a son of Khyone, some people said that he had a block of ice instead of a heart, but she knew his sister, she knew that Zoe was always talking well about her brother. Then she knew that this guy was simply wearing a thick iced mask. “oh… hi…” She said in an almost shy way, nothing like her usual voice, which was firm and determined. It seemed that losing Gabriel damaged her deeper than thought. “You’re… Zoe’s brother, right?”

She moved and then faced him, now that she looked him closely, she could appreciate that his eyes were not just blue, but old and deep iceberg kind of blue, the one that has already been there for thousands and thousands of years. She looked that color, but she didn’t just spoke her mind, she… was scared to doing it, to letting him know what was deep in her heart, to being hurt once more. “Oh… well…” sighed and then shrugged. “It is a fool thing, I got… dumped you may say. By someone that I really cared for.” She knew that in Roman standards, she was being just… weak.

Alberto saw the girl’s eyes and he could see some fear in it, maybe he shouldn’t have sneaked up on her like that. He blushed and moves a hand to the back of his head a bit awkward. “Sorry, about scaring you.” He then said and looked anywhere then at her for a moment, trying to find something to talk about.

Her soft voice then surprised him as she asked if he was Zoe’s brother, “uhm, yeah, I’m Zoe’s brother, I’m Alberto and what or uhm sorry, who exactly are you, and why are you so sad?” he then asks and look at her a bit unsure about it all, he should really learn to keep his mouth shut, and just simply overlook people in pain because there was one thing he wasn’t good at comforting people. His eyes then winded a bit when he saw her eyes change color as she spoke, such a beautiful gift to have.

She then stood up and steps closer to him, he takes one step back not wanting to hurt the girl, she is staring at him in such way that it made him very uncomfortable and he moves a hand trough his messy black hair. “Uhm.. is it something on my face?” he then asks and move one of his very cold hands up to his cheek. His eyes then went over to her as she spoke again, and told him that she had been dumped. “Well, what fool would dump you?” he then asks in a maybe to harsh voice, but truly what kind of fool would dump a girl like this.

“Come on.. lets go somewhere more quiet, people are staring at you, and well I've found out tears a better shred in a closed off room.” He glanced from her and narroved his eyes at one of the people talking by, he then rolled his eyes people….

Sabella smiled at him in the sweetest way, she knew how it was to scare others, maybe not out of fear to die, but she was way too different for that place, and she knew the way other campers looked at her the moment that she stepped closer. all those colors, all that explosion of well, not being a perfect soldier. gods! even her armor was usually covered in colors. And it wasn't an accident, she made it that way, she put all of those colors in her armor, her shield, her helmet, her sword... She simply adored the color and to stand out from the others.

"Don't worry, it was just that... it is not normal that others speak to me" she smiled again and then sighed when he asked why was she so sad, well she already told him, maybe it wasn't enough reason, but for her it was. Maybe she should have already moved on, it had been months since that son of Pluto dumped her... but her heart wasn't a sponge, her heart was slowly healing from that breaking point. then he said something that made her smile again, this time with a slight laugh with it. Who would dump her?!

"Well, maybe you won't believe it, but there are some people that... don't really appreciate the color in their lives." she chuckled and got up. She looked into his eyes and then his comment forced her to look away. "I'm sorry... no, nothing on your face." She looked up again and smiled. "the blue in your eyes... it looks like the deep blue inside the icebergs... did you know that?" she asked and then nodded looking around. "ok... where would you suggest to go and talk?" she said and then chuckled. "Oh! and sorry, I'm Sabella. Nice to meet you Alberto." She said and offered him her hand to shake it.

Alberto blinks at what she said, others didn’t speak to her? Why? She seemed like a sweet girl, kind in some way even. “Why?” is all he asks when she said this, after all he understood why people didn’t want to speak to himself but why not speak to a kind girl, with eyes that changed color, he got almost memorized by the beautiful way her eyes changed, he tilts his head to the side and just stare as she speaks.

His eyebrows knits together when she spoke about colors, he glances around then back at her, had the boy dumped her because she liked colors, that seemed rater weird for him. His hand stays on his cheek as he try to figure out if he had anything on his face. “Okay so nothing on my face… good” he then said and grins to her, what was going on he never really joked or grins that was new.

“Uhm.. no I haven’t really stared at my eyes to be honest.. I’ve always found them to eb well like muddy water, but you make them sound so much more pretty then they are” he then answer her with a small laugh, iceberg now that sounded kind of cool in a way and made him like his eyes way more then he had before. “Uhm.. where? I usually go to the god of the underworld to uhm get away from crowds.. it’s quiet and cold down there… and dark...” he then stuttered out and moves a hand to the back of his neck feeling a bit awkward about admitting something like that to a stranger.

He then glances at her hand before he look up at her and shakes his head. “Sorry.. I’m on a strict no touching policy….because well… last time I Touched someone… they uhm kind of froze…. ” he then told her and looks down feeling a bit ashamed even now.

The way that thi guy spoke to her was nice, as if she was just a common girl and he was a cmmon guy, that was nice. She smiled at him and shook her head when he asked again as reasuring the information that it was nothing on his face. "No, nothing on your face." she said and then smiled a bit more when he described his eyes as muddy water, she tilted her head still looking at his eyes and giggled. "well, a bit... but it is a nice shade of mud, you know like the mud made with the golden sand of the caribean?"

She said and shut up again, it was difficult to explain why current and normal romans didn't like her. "Well... I'm not disciplined, I love colors and freedom, so my armor is painted so as my shield, but others think that it is not very roman." She shrugged and then smiled again, it was sad, but at least she was used to that, so she was fine with it at last. Then she smiled at the reason he had to go to the temple of the god of the dead and wealth.

"I understand, it is a very peaceful place, but you aso need to hang out with other colors you know?" smiled and then tilted her head, so he never touch others? that for sure would have been sad in extreme. She then sighed and nodded. "Ok, maybe with gloves." smiled and then chuckled. "no shakes. but we can walk together, right?" asked and waited for him.

He gives out a small laugh when she said that he didn't have anything on his face. "Well that's good.. that i don't have anything on my face." He then said and takes a glance around them for a moment before his eyes land on Sabella again. Letting his hazel eyes move over her for a moment, She was kind of pretty in her own way.

A small pink blush covered his cheeks as she explained his eyes to him. "Wow... your very poetic.. no one have ever said that my eyes are him.. . Beautiful? In such way before." He then told her with a small shy smile on his face and a unusual glint in his eyes. Orwell

He roll his eyes when she explained why people didn't like her. "So... why should we be like everyone else, when you can express yourself in colours like no one I know can. So let's just say you forget whatever dumb things they tell you, and keep being you." He offer her a kind but small smile as he said this.

He give out a small laugh "Oh yeah? What kind of colours exactly?" He then asks, he had never been good at picking colours that he liked other then black. But the girl confront of him was all colours, jet so sad and he wondered why she was so sad and was also quite curious about who her mother or father was.

"I tried with gloves... did not work...." He then told her with a sadned voice. He then give out another laugh "ofcourse we may walk together. Where would you wish to go?" He then asks and walks beside Sarabelle.

"So may I ask whom your father or mother migth be?"  He glances sideways at her then add. "I like your eyes... their fascinating." He then add.
