Appearance ;;[/color] Josh is a 6 foot 3 inches tall guy and he weights 170 pounds. He used to have white, pale skin but after his daily trainings in the Obstacle Curse and the Fields of Mars he has got a bit of tan over his skin. His icy blue eyes reflect his soul almost perfectly, anyone could think they know about his feeling by his eyes, but they are only the perfect set of eyes for a poker faced man They are really bright silver blue, but when the light hit his eyes they seem to be almost with a silver ring around his iris, which is really uncommon. He has well build body, slim but athletic and strong. He has long legs and arms, also medium length, messy, straight, brownish hair. He always wears comfortable clothes for training, unless he’s in the battle field or in heavy duty trainments, there he wears his roman armor.
Personality ;;[/color] Josh as his mother used to call him, is a cocky guy, he thinks that everything that he does is right, unless authority finds out about it. He is a very proud man, he would always accept which were his works and masterpieces and would never try to get the recognition for a ‘job’ that he hadn’t done. He almost never asks for forgiveness and whenever someone falls from his grace, he would never forgive that person. He almost seemed a bipolar guy, since he was a kid he was a bad tempered boy, but also he is a very good poker faced guy. Unless you’re threatening his little brother, then he would just be almost able to kill you. If he is fine and nothing triggers his bad temper, he would be calm and relaxed about the situations against him, if not if he felt down or angry, he would blow up at the least word of his opponent. After his change of mind and heart, he feels nothing for others, or at least he acts as if he didn’t.
He’s a frozen hearted man against his enemies. He is a gentle guy, always concerning about the people around him, although only the people who he considers close to hi know when he is telling the truth or not., always checking if his brother is fine. He is still gentle to children, elderly and some women. The kids reminded him of himself and his brother when they were innocent and pure, the elderly to his grandparents and the women to his mother, reason why he never hurt them. He is a brave man. Deep inside he has a warm heart, but you need to dig into a thick layer of ice to get to it. As a good son of Mercury he would speak a lot, try to trick you within his words. He would always be eating or drinking something, his high and fast metabolism forces him to do that.

History ;;[/color] To tell Josh’s story we need to start not the day of his birth but some time before that happened. Everything started in the amazing City of New Rome. There a young woman lived, her name was Sasha Rogers, she was a demigoddess whose father was the god of War, Mars. She was one of the greatest warriors in the camp during her years of service, but after she finished them, she decided to stay in New Rome to study some stuff. There she met Mercury and fell for him.
Mercury was roaming New Rome to check onto his kids. She met Sasha and realized that she loved to travel, she missed the mortal world and she found completely amazing the fact that Mercury could travel that much. It kind of broke her heart to know that they would never be a real couple, still she loved him and let him love her. She got pregnant and nine months later baby Joshua had been born. She knew the risks of living outside, but she also wanted her son to have the same life she had when she was a kid, she wanted him to know the world outside, as Mercury son, her baby would need to see the mortal world, so she moved out and went to a place called Helena, Montana.
There she joined the army and became a very good fighter, using her Mars heritage in combat, There she also started training as an information thief, just for the fun of it, and deeply in her heart, to get closer to the God that she loved. She met a man, also a soldier, his name was Victor Renew. She told him only what she thought he needed to know about her, including she had a son. Victor accepted all what she told him about her and her son and proposed after some months, they got married when Joshua was four years old. They went as a normal family on their honeymoon, but something happened there. Mercury was delivering a package to a god and ran into Sasha again. She knew that shouldn’t be happening, she was married and she shouldn’t be with Mercury, but he had always been the love of her life. Mercury also felt more atracted to her due her recent activities as a thief, so she had another private moment with Mercury and then as always happens in that kind of cases, the god left again. Then nine months later Sasha gave birth to another beautiful boy, Joshua’s brother, Richard.
Sasha registered Richard as Rogers too. She told Victor it had been only to keep the same last name to both kids. The real reason was that she knew both kids were Mercury’s sons. Victor was no fool, he noticed the boys were too alike between them. They even looked like their mother but the youngest looked nothing like him. But he said nothing, he just tried to live like that because he still had Sasha with him, who was who he cared about. But destiny wasn’t on Sasha’s side. On a mission, as a soldier, she was killed. A Nemea Lion found her out there and even when she could kill the huge animal, the injuries that she got from their fight ended up killing her. So she left Josh and Rick under Victor’s care. Almost as soon as Sasha died, Victor started hitting Joshua and tried to hit Rick too even when he was a baby. He was no fool and he knew the kids weren't his blood.
Josh tried to protect his brother all the time, so he got the beat ups all the time. Josh began to develop some kind of skills, he was faster than other kids, more agile and had the ability to understand almost all the languages that he listened or read. Even with his ADHD, he could understand them, but the easiest one for him was Latin. Before his 6th birthday, a monster followed his school bus for some blocks. He told Victor it had been a weird man with only one eye, but he didn’t believe him. He started calling Josh by different names, rude words, he drank every day and beat Josh up everyday.
The Cyclops showed up by his 6th birthday, he was playing alone in the school's yard when it came for him. Josh screamed for some help while he ran for his life, but for a 6 year old it would have been impossible to escape. Suddenly a woman yelled the kid to get into her car. She was smiling at the kid and told him to be careful about strangers, which was weird to say because she was also a stranger. She asked him where he lived and he still surprised and scared, told her where he lived. She got him home and met Victor. She flirted with the man and it was like magic but Victor seemed to fall for the woman.
The woman's name was Alison Jones, She didn't tell Josh at that time, but she was a Legacy of Mercury, daughter of Venus. She was traveling all along the U.S. when she felt that she needed to go to where Josh was, maybe it was Mercury's power helping his son. The moment Alison got there she knew she needed to help the little boy and his baby brother. So she decided to stay there and find a way to get them out of there. The camp wasn't really an option, they were too young and she had never liked New rome, so... she waited out there. She also was the one who fought most of the monsters coming to kill Josh and Rick. Two months after that, Victor told the kids that he was going to get married again. He married Alison and she took care of Josh and Rick, but still when she wasn't home, Victor beated josh up.
The years passed by and when Joshua was 10 years old and Rick was 5, everything changed to them. Victor was beating Josh up as always, he was covering Rick’s smaller body with his to protect his baby brother. Alison got home and stopped Victor from doing so using her persuassive power. Suddenly a Dracanae came and attacked them, Victor was killed in the process. It wasn't that Joshua would really care about it, but he feared for their lives. Alison tried to fight off the dracanae, but it was too much for only one warrior. Alison got hit and she let her dagger fell to the ground. Josh was scared to death, but when he saw Alison hurt, he knew he had to help her, she had been so good to rick and him! Josh grabbed the dagger and ran against the beast. He attacked a creature too. He only managed get a bit closer to the dracanae, enough to distract it so Alison could kill it. After that Alison took Josh to Lupa’s place and she took Rick to New Rome, with her, to wait till he was a 10 years old too and he could go to Lupa’s as well. She knew then she should have done that since she had met them.
While they went to Lupa's, she explained to Josh about demigods and everything, so he went to Lupa’s. There her training was hell, but he was used to be treated like that all the time, he had all his back and his ribs marked to prove that. After some months Lupa let him pass. He went all the way from her place to the Camp. He nearly died several times, but he was sure he couldn’t die until he saw his brother again. Finally he made it to the Camp. There he was put in a cohort and Mercury claimed him as his son. He continued training and even when he acted as a very confident kid, talkative and charming, inside he was shy and didn’t trust others easily.
He is one of the fastest in the Camp, also he’s a well known thief and dagger fighter. He also is good with an arch but not as an Apollo kid could be. He can open any kind of lock blind folded if it is necessary, he can also understand almost all the languages that have existed since the Gods started ruling. Being grandson of Mars, he is very good in a battle, and he even enjoys it, but he could never match Mars’ kids. Maybe what he really got from Mars was his bad temper and being such a hothead.
He was 16 years old when Mt.Othrys battle was held. His brother was 11 and already a legionary, so he spent some time in battle checking on his little brother, but he was sure that Rick wouldn’t know, he didn’t want to embarrass his baby brother. He used his speed to take as many enemies as he could. He got several injuries, including a spear right to his left thigh, enemy thought that way they would slow him down, well not as much as enemy needed him to slow down. After battle he helped others to get to the infirmary before going into it himself.
Now he is just a legionary, he would love to be a centurion, but well who knew if they would think he was capable of it or not, after all he was a thief, right? He still takes care of his brother and teaches him all what he knows about war, fights and being a son of Mercury, which he is very proud of.[/blockquote]
