Timing was vitally important, who was there and what was there could be accounted for if the timing was right. Lance always planned to be in the obstacle course when a majority of people where busy, and those who weren't were not the type to be here anyway. He didn't like people to be around most of the time, and training with another person in fact REQUIRED being around someone. Lance wanted his mind off things, wanted to work up a sweat, and this was the best way for his unique personality to go about just that.
He stayed lurking, hidden until he knew no one was there. A sigh of relieve escaped him as his entire body began to relax. When he became so anti social was a mystery to him, that may not be right. He knew exactly when and why, so what was his real question? Lance didn't know, and he didn't want to dwell on it. That was his reason for being here after all. Cracking was not a sign of a healthy flexible body, but a sign of something that had been misplaced. Lance did not crack as he stretched. He was sure to work on every muscle getting them warmed up for the sometimes unpredictable obstacle course. Calming himself to focus on the objective at hand Lance began, up's and downs he was good at anything that required agility. The strength based obstacle were tough but gave him a good challenge. He needed it, his mind needed it. Sometimes he was able to get away with using his dexterity instead of power, but more often he face planed before realizing he needed to use what little strength he had.
The course succeed in what he wanted, everything he had been thinking about was gone from his mind, only tiredness was left after running the course backwards and forwards. He had gone through the ones that gave him trouble until he could get it right on the first try. For now he lay with his eyes closed basking in the sun, the though about how long it had been and if people would be getting done with their activities was not in mind. The fact he had been in camp for three years without a friend was not knocking in the back of his mind, at least not right now. He smiled broadly as the soft warmth of the sun and the cool breeze that whipped across his damp skin. Times like this where he didn't have to remember anything were the only times he was really happy anymore. Even in his dream visions of his friend getting skewered by a manticore flooded his vision.
