....okay, so maybe not burn the entire principa to the ground. Just the people and contents inside. The building itself had done no wrong. It was just the unfortunate structure that had been condemned to hold vile contents. In fact, it was these disgusting contents that had drawn Edmund to the abhorring building from day one of his time at Legion; the contents that he wanted to turn at the stake: the praetors that were usually in there and the file room holding information about everyone at camp. Yup, burning the entire thing to the ground probably wouldn't work out that well. On top of him going potentially PTSD episodical (just like his first few weeks in the forge), Quinn and Stone would kill him in two seconds flat. Provided that Edmund hadn't killed them first. In the case that he did, he was pretty sure that Jolly, Petty, Rogers, and Warlow wouldn't have any problem slitting his neck for it. Splendid high Roman treason and it's punishments. Yeah, he'd save killing the Praetors for another day (it too much paperwork, anyway). Today's destruction goal was what disgusted him most in that building: the file rooms. Specifically the file labeled Simons, Edmund R. in the first cohort file room.
This day had been long in coming. Finally, one day where he had a moment of down time and there were no praetors or centurions in sight. It also helped that it was a weird hour in the day: noon-ish. The time that most "normal" demigods went to lunch. He calmly walked up to the Principia and strode right in, head up, like he was doing nothing wrong. Then he was standing in a long hallway with multiple doors, the entrance shut tightly behind him. Now, how to find the room? He shut his eyes slightly. The file room... would have a lot of metal for the cabinets. Was there any way that he could ping metal he couldn't see? Edmund had honestly never tried. No time like the present. The seventeen year old took a deep breath and focused. Yup, lots of metal... right down the hall; a lot of the ores were also faulty. That clicked easily: hastily made file cabinets. Edmund walked down the hall, looking in the rooms that had the most metal attraction. The first file room was disgustingly messy. The more he went down the hall with the file rooms, the more neat the rooms became. Ed's inner craftsman OCD wanted nothing more than to go in and straighten everything up. He'd do that once he obliterated his file. Finally, he got to the first cohort's room. It was neat as anything. Not a paper out of place. That'd change in a moment.
He reached into his pocket and put down a small box; it expanded into something that looked akin to a tissue box without the tissues. It was a metal shredder that would then burn the metal for later use, but it worked fine for large stacks of paper too. He opened the first cabinet. Looking for year numbers and nothing more. The first year he saw was before he was born. Edmund kept going down, and down until he found the year Jolly came. One more case later and it was his camp year. From there on, it was easy alphabet by last name. Edmund found his without a problem and plucked it out. He wondered how on earth the Legion had gotten all the stuff on each camper. Edmund had certainly never told them anything. Maybe Em told them or they had Roman scouts that researched them? How would the latter work? It was kind of creepy when he thought about it. Biography scouts out to find information on every camper... Ohwell. If they used scouts for his file, they had just wasted their time. Edmund opened his hand to drop the entire folder into the slotted box, a slight hum coming out of it as the razor sharp blades whirred, waiting for an item to shred.OOC: Take your time my dear <33
