Felicity took a deep breath as she stood in front of the shadow, Ed was with her. She had promised him a normal mortal day. Still she had a knife hidden on her person. She wasn't going to take many chances. Firstly, Ed was under her protection during this voyage. She would never forgive her self if any harm came to him. Also among her person was an energy drink for after the shadow travel. She hadn't become super tired after traveling alone, however she had a feeling she would be fatigued after going with a passenger in tow. Finally she had waited enough. She walked into the shadow pulling Ed with her.

Shadow travel was like being in an endless tunnel. You couldn't see anything though. You used your thought to find your destination. Shit, she forgot of a destination. She thought quickly in her head and the state of Nevada popped into her mind. Within a minute they had exited the darkness and were welcomed with a city full of neon signs. It was almost night but the sky had already darkened some. Of course, you couldn't tell by the looks of this city. There was so many lights that illuminated the city it looked like it could be the middle of the day. Felicity leaned against the closest wall. She could feel the fatigue starting to take effect. She popped open the energy drink and chugged it, feeling more revived. She didn't need ambrosia or nectar after shadow travel, a simple energy drink worked well.

She glanced at Ed. "I thought of Nevada. By the looks of it I would say we have reached the town of Las Vegas." Felicity said as she walked slightly out of the alley they were in. The sidewalk had a nice sprinkling of people heading to the bars or clubs that lined the streets. Was there anything nearby that would welcome underage kids? Felicity glanced around. A place stood out, a hotel a called the Lotus Hotel. She had an urge to go there but something kept telling her not to so she ignored it. Finally some golden arches stood over some buildings a few blocks down the street.

She turned towards Ed with a cheerful smile on her face. "I see a McDonalds down a few blocks. We might get lucky. With so many people around we might not get detected by monsters." Felicity said as she wrinkled her nose at the thought of a monster attacking them on the spot. If anything her scent was going to be the one that gave her away. She had washed her outfit almost seven times in the row so she hoped the smell of Tide would also musk out her big three demigod scent. Though, whenever she caught a scent of the detergent it made her wrinkle her nose slightly. Still, she could suffer a little in order to keep her friend safe. Who knew what Las Vegas could hold for the daughter of Pluto and son of Vulcan.

Getting out of the Camp was something that could thrill any common camper, even a kid of the big three, but for a camper like Joshua Rogers, it was like going out from home to the closest grocery store and them come back. He had done it since he was 12, even when at the beginning was exciting and also dangerous. Nowadays, just sneaking out wasn't the most amazing adventure in his life. Since he was 14 he had been stealing... sorry! It is better said... borrowing stuff from the mortal world, which he found exciting and never boring. He loved to take those things from under the mortals and sometimes immortal's noses without being caught.

One of those days, was that day. He decided to go out, have a hamburger and them maybe get some cool games and a new X-Box. He went to New Rome, it was a isolated part of it, almost no one walked by that place, so it was a perfect place to blend and get away from that medieval place. As soon as he got out, he put on some very useful converse he had taken from his father's place long time ago, it was nice that he had grown enough to wear them. He started running with them at the speed that it was necessary to activate them. For a son of Mercury it was medium speed.

As soon as the converse opened their wings, he could fly to the place he wanted to get, maybe he could just blend in the shadows like his father did and get to any place in the world faster, but Mercury hadn't been really cooperative in that sense, he said he didn't want his son to get killed, so he wasn't teaching him how to get all those abilities. "...one day I hope you will father..." he muttered as he flew over the desert, then he saw the lights of a city. "I know that place..." he smirked and landed there in a dark alley. It was Las Vegas.

He looked around and smiled widely, he hadn't been there for at least 3 months, since he had stolen a bag of blue diamonds from a very luxurious hotel. "come and test your luck! come and have infinite fun!!" said the voice of a man, over his head was the advertisement of the Lotus hotel. Josh had been there just once, when he was 16, he was going to steal some chips from that place, but something in his head told him to get out of there before something wrong happened to him. Also the old fashioned guys in there were creepy. So he just left that place like 5 minutes after he got in, but outside it had passed an hour. Since then he just stay away from that place.

He didn't even look at the man at the Lotus Hotel and just kept walking. Then he looked a heavenly sign, a McDonald's 'M'. He smiled and walked at that place, he would have his hamburger, a bag of nuggets and some soda before taking his new X-Box and some games for it. Suddenly he saw two people among the crowd, he knew them very well at least the girl who was trying to seem... normal. "Felicity..." he thought and smiled widely. He walked faster and when he was closer, he said. "I thought it was forbbiden for campers to get out of Camp." he smiled at her, he hadn't really noticed that the other camper was Edmund Simons, a boy that didn't like Josh at all.

Felicity and Edmund were actually going to do this: skip out of camp. Okay. Scratch that. Not skip. Edmund did not skip. Shadow travel out of camp, rather. He was actually rather curious. What would the outside world look like? Humans changed slowly, oh so slowly, so he was half certain that nothing had changed in six years, but it would still be cool to get out of camp. Even if it was for just an hour or two. Of course, Edmund being Edmund, he had two knives hidden on his person. Not uncommon: he always did, even around camp. Although, around camp, he carried his sword. A teenage boy in the mortal world, carrying around a sword would have been questionable. A reason for adults to call police, probably. He allowed Felicity to pull him in, only for the shadow traveling purposes. One of the last thoughts he had before getting sucked into the never ending, dark tunnel, was: If she's tired when she does it to herself, what will it feel like when she tugs me along? Would she collapse? "Fel-" And then they were gone.

Blackness. Was he supposed to be thinking of anything? Nothing? Something? He wasn't sure. All of the sudden it went from dark, to full out light. Flashing lights everywhere. It hurt his head and made his stomach churn. He put his back up against the wall that had appeared behind him, willing himself not to throw up. Don't. Get. Sick... Don't... he commanded himself, slowly feeling the color drain from his face. It felt like he was in the infirmary all over again. Don't... Edmund breathed out, his stomach slowly settling down. It was only after the initial panic that he was going to vomit that he realized how tired he had suddenly gotten. So he got side effects of shadow traveling too? Ode to joy. Edmund blinked slightly, pinching himself to try to semi get his energy back. How the heck would that help? He didn't know. He had to shake off the sleepiness. He had to be alert for this.

He watched her gulp down something, probably trying to get her energy back to. "You alright?" he asked, his voice semi loosing the usual hard edge. Edmund gave a slight nod as she explained where they were. Not Nevada. Las Vegas. Whichever. It was out of camp and that's all he cared about. He made triple sure that he wasn't going to throw up before opening his mouth: "Fine..." he grumbled back to his usual flat voice, his head nodding slightly. He drifted out of the side alley way that they were in, following the daughter of Pluto. People. Lots and lots of people. Joy. He looked at the sky. It was dark, but when he looked at the street, straight on, it looked like it was afternoon. His mother had once said that Las Vegas was a bright light city. She wasn't kidding.

A semi smirk flashed across his face. "Happy Meals here we come," he said, sarcasm edging his voice. Right. Nearly Felicity's whole idea of them getting out of Camp was so that Edmund could (ironically) get a Happy Meal. "Yeah, maybe," he muttered, his dark brown eyes sweeping around them suspiciously. And then another voice joined them. The sixteen year old whirled around, his wrist going to flick to dislodge the knife hidden (quite literally) up his sleeve. After a moment though, the male's face registered and a scowl flashed across Edmund's usually stone like, emotionless face. Rogers.

Felicity smiled at Ed. Why was he asking her is she was okay. She totally forgot to ask him. She remembered the first time she had shadow traveled. Once she got to said destination she was tired and felt like puking. "Better. How about you. I have some nectar and ambrosia if you need some. I know that I get tired or nauseous after a travel. I totally forgot to warn you. Sorry Ed." Felicity said sincerely holding out the nectar she had on her person.

Felicity grinned at the sarcasm in Eds voice. Perhaps that meant he was semi-looking forwards to it. Felicity hoped so. Then again, when she had left the forge the idea was a bit thrown at him. Maybe Ed really didn't want to be here. Not to mention with so many people. Why couldn't they been deposited in the middle of the desert. Wait, the middle of a desert with a McDonalds. Wasn't there suppose to be one within a hundred feet of anywhere? "I wonder if the toys have gotten any better since the last time. I hope they don't have the sexist toys. A really girly one for girls and then one equally as boyish for the boys." Felicity said rolling her eyes. Wasn't this suppose to be a time of equality and yet McDonalds started promoting sexism at a young age. How sad.

At the statement directed towards her Felicity froze. Was it a monster, or worse a God? Now, that wouldn't have been bad for Felicity but for Ed. She wanted him to have a good day. She could fight a monster no problem, a god was different story. She grabbed the knife as she spun around, aiming at the sound of the voice. Upon recognition she lowered and re sheathed her weapon. She rolled her eyes. Of all the people from camp they could have ran into it had to be Josh. Did she do something bad in a past life?

Felicity smirked. She had the perfect excuse. "I'm a centurion. I can get away with things. Unlike you." Felicity said as she poked Joshs chest with her pointer finger. She looked down at Ed, recognizing his signature scowl. She didn't know if the two boys got along or not. It would be horrible if a fight were to break out, or if Ed slunk away. Then Felicity would be spending all day trying to find her friend, not to mention with monsters behind almost every corner. Suddenly a horrid thought flashed in Felicitys mind. What if Ed did slink away and went into that hotel and casino that she had a bad feeling about. That place had to be crawling with monsters waiting to tear open demigod flesh and feast on their internal organs.

Felicity shook the thought from her head. Like she said, she was a centurion so it was her duty to make sure nothing bad happened. She had to find a way to make sure Ed had a great time out of camp while trying to remain patient around Josh. The kid made her mess up, not think right. It was kinda similar to how she felt for Remus, but there was a difference to it to, she figured it was annoyance. She sighed. "What are you doing out here anyways Josh. Also walk and talk. I'm on a time limit." Felicity said as she turned, beckoning Ed to follow, and walked towards the building with the golden arches.

Josh looked at Felicity and kept smiling, but his attention went from her to Edmund, who didn't seem to be very happy to have him there, to the people who went and came all up and down the street, to the lights coming from the hotels and cassinos surrounding them, to even the cops at the end of the street who were chatting between them holding a cup of coffee in their hands. Felicity replied to his question with a perfectly logic statement... She was a centurion. That allowed her to go out from time to time, if she had a really hard mission.

He tilted his head and looked at Edmund, this time directly at him. Which important mission would demand her the allmighty daughter of the Lord of the Dead, Pluto, to take Edmund with her? that was what wasn't really logic of all of that picture. "I know you're a... well I know..." then he whispered at her. "but what kind of mission included the little forge boy?" he then stood straigh and looked down at her with his usual witty smirk. He was 6'3" tall, so he really had to look down to see her face and Edmund's.

Then Felicity asked him why he was there. That was a very easy question to answer. Yet, considering that she was a Centurion, he would be in deep troubles if she decided to turn him in back at Camp. "well... I just wanted a good burger, fries and soda. you know you can't get any good of those back at... home" he changed the last word, he knew that 'camp' was a common word in the mortal world, yet he didn't want any snoopy ears around to relate that word with them.

"I also want to get some new games for my new X-Box" he didn't have an X-box, he was going to 'get' it as well that day, well if he had the chance, but with Felicity by his side that day, his possibilities to get it were going from 100% to 10% but not impossible! He though that nothing was impossible in this world, Nothing!

Then she told him to move, he frowned for a second and then started walking. He understood why she told him so. for him it was dangerous to be out there, but for her... it was maybe 10 or 20 times worst, the scent in her blood would be like honey to flies to any monster around. He had his daggers on his back so if there was any kind of trouble, then he would try to protect her and even the little forge smurf too. "But tell me..." he said as he walked. "why are you two out here?"

Edmund gave a slight nod as she said she was okay. Well, at least she had the... whatever she just drank. He was inclined to think it was an energy drink. It was logic from 1+1=2. If shadow traveling herself had been draining enough to want to nap, he was pretty sure that dragging another person a long could induce unconsciousness. "Fine," he grumbled, back to his normal tone as Felicity asked him how he was doing. At least he didn't feel like he was going to vomit up his past meal anymore. Ed gave a wary look at the ambrosia and nectar. "No, it's fine," he said with a slight shrug. He didn't want to OD on ambrosia and get turned into a crisp. Sure. Some kids ODed on drugs... but him? No. He could have done it on the stupid ambrosia that he had to take every freaking day because of his stupid rib.

His gaze flickered over the mass amount of crowds. Why the heck had he agreed to this again? People... people... and oh joy: more people! Just the thing he hated: mass amounts of people. Or just people in general worked too. The gods must have hated him enough to throw in an extra annoying camper on the side. At her pondering about McDonald's toys, all he could do was shrug. He hadn't been to that fast food place in... gods. Forever. Last time was probably a week before... well. "Probably not," he said, shaking his head. The world was so slow to change. It had only been, what? Six years? Edmund hadn't exactly considered it sexist when he had been younger because, well, he had been young, but now that Felicity brought it up, he was considering that it was kinda true. It was either something frilly and Bratz doll looking, or something totally macho and GI Joe like.

Dear gods. The gods had to hate him to throw an annoying camper their way. He half forced his left arm down so he wouldn't be tempted to take the knife out. It was so tempting though... Rogers was such a pain. Then they started talking. Gods this was going to take forever. He stood there with his usual blank face, watching Felicity and Roger's conversation almost like a boring tennis match. He ignored the son of Mercury addressing him as "forge boy". As long as it wasn't endearing, he was okay with it. Roger was easily taller than him, but Ed wasn't fazed at all. He just gave a slight eye roll in agreement with Felicity and trudged along behind her as they made their way to the nearest (and rather close) McDonald's. Unfortunately, the spawn of Mercury was intent on following.... and gabbing. Great. A gabber and a pryer. Just the sort of people Ed wanted to stick his knife into. "None of your business," he snapped.

As Rogers and Felicity gabbed rather openly about their business, Edmund busy was watching out for potential trouble. He was eying everyone with equal suspicion. It was hard for people not to hear them when there were so many of them in such a close range. With three demigods in one area, especially with a big three kid among them, they were practically sitting duck targets for monsters. "Or you can just blab our where abouts to the entire city block, why don't you?" he growled curtly. Forget monsters, there were sick people in the world. As in mortals. He was pretty sure he could fight a regular person off just with his hand hand combat, but he really didn't want police, official, or adult/authoritative looking person getting involved.

Felicity gave Josh a look. Sure, he could call her any name he wanted by Ed. No. That wasn't right. Just because he didn't talk and kept to himself most of the time didn't mean that he didn't hate being called names. Sure he was in the forge a lot and he was a boy. Doesn't mean you have to call him forgeboy. "He has a name ya know. Why don't you use it Josh. " Felicity snapped at him. Then she took a breath."One the requires happy meals." Felicity said with a sly smile. It was the truth. Their mission, if you wanted to call it that, involved feeding Ed a happy meal and to try to find humor in it. At least, that was their previous mission. Now with Josh here Ed might eat a Happy Meal with a death glare aimed at the Mercury kid.

Felicity glanced at Josh. New X-box? That didn't sound right. She elbowed the son of Mercury in the chest. "Nope, you are not stealing anything today. Do you want to go to jail? You are either going to stay where I can see you or you are going back to camp. Don't think I won't tell Remus about your little trip outside." Felicity said probably a bit too harshly. And to drag the name of Remus into it. She was horrible wasn't she. She knew that Josh had probably been flirting with her and yet she was keeping him in the friend zone while she chased after Remus, which was more like waiting at a brick wall. Of course, even if she did tell someone she would also be getting herself and Edmund into trouble. They didn't exactly gain clearance to leave camp either. All three of them were braking the rules as they walked towards the famous restaurant with the golden arches.

Edmunds growled sentenced brought Felicity back to reality. He had a point. Though, he seemed a bit too cautious. "You're right Ed. Sorry." She said softly to the son of Vulcan. The talk of their purpose in Las Vegas could cause some dire consequences. They needed to be smart about whatever they said. Still, maybe Ed was being a little too careful. "But we can't be extra careful either. Otherwise the other people might suspect something." Felicity mumbled as a police officer walked past them. She raised the jacket sleeve to her nose. She stilled smelled of too much Tide. Hopefully this would musk out her demigod scent. She really didn't want to get Ed hurt, plus now she also had to look out for Josh.

Her eyes lit up and a smile grew on her face as they approached the McDonalds. It didn't look like many people were in it. That was good, if it were really crowded it could be a little over bearing for some. "Okay, so who is ready for some happy meals?" Felicity asked as she grabbed the glass door leading inside the McDonalds. She waved her arm ushering them in. What would be better. The cheeseburger or chicken nuggets?

Josh lifted his hands as if he was surrending at Felicity's words. She was right he had no rights to call Edmund like that no matter how upseting he could be to him. He remembered for a moment to his step-father, he got a flaskback from him, from a time when Josh told him about the cyclops following him when he was a kid and how he called him many names that he didn't want to remember, then he just beat his soul out of his body and then by a blessing of Hades he got it back.

"ok, ok... I'm sorry. I won't call Edmund by other names, but his." he nodded and then looked at Edmund. "ok... so I won't be talking to you much, right?" he said and sighed, no matter how mature and civil Josh wanted to be at Edmund, it was simply impossible! No matter how damaged was that kid! he needed to behave in a better way, now he understood why Mars and Diana always turned him into animals! Then Felicity told him that he wouldn't steal anything that night, if he did she would tell Remus. He saw a police officer walking by, so he nodded at him in a gentle way, then when the police officer had walked kind of far, Josh looked back Felicity.

"come on, do it... I'm not afraid of robo-Remus, besides you'de have to explain why you two were out here" he said and then kept walking to the McDonald's. He had a crush on Felicity and he had heard the rumors about her falling for Remus. So he couldn't help himself, he felt really jealous when he even heard the name of the Praetor. He knew he was an amazing roman, he was just, but his goddly heritage made him being too strict and tight as a drum, yet he couldn't control himself when he thought that Felicity wanted to be with that... Mars' guy... It had only being a rumor, yet it was like acid in the pit of his stomach.

They walked into the restaurant and he looked around. There were a few in there, it was good, not too many people to be snoopying into their conversation. Then he looked at the menu on the top, behind the cashier and sighed. "Well... I like two happy meals, a big-mac... no wait, two huge big-macs, some soda, fries... and an apple pie!" He smiled widely and then looked at Felicity and Edmund, then he took out his wallet from his back pocket and gave felicity enough dollars to buy all of that and whatever Felicity and Edmund could order. "please, let me pay" it was really difficult for him to pay for something, but well... he wasn't going to steal anything that night... right?

Edmund rolled his eyes slightly as Felicity reprimanded Rogers for calling him forgeboy. "Leave it," he said flatly. He had been called worse. Besides, the name Rogers gave him rang with truth. Edmund was in the forge for hours on end and he was male. At the older boy's agreement not to nickname him, Edmund just shrugged. Whatever. He honestly didn't care. After his grammar school names, forgeboy was walking on the edge of compliment. "Not if you don't want," the sixteen year old responded curtly as Rogers asked if he'd be talking to Ed much. It was Rogers choice if he would talk to him. Right now, Edmund was probably correct in thinking that Rogers didn't want to talk to him. Fine by him. Edmund didn't exactly appreciate his company either (then again, when did he appreciate anyone's?), but now that he was here, whatever. Nothing he could do about it now. His dark brown eyes went back to Felicity. Mission that included Happy Meals and the irony of Edmund eating one. When it had just been them, it could have been semi plausible. Add spawn of Mercury into the equation and any/all humor was lost. Edmund would be unhappy while eating his Happy Meal. Still kinda ironic.

The Mercury kid was here to X-Box snatch? Edmund personally hoped he'd got caught and thrown into mortal jail. Not that it'd help much, since he could probably just transport himself out, but he'd kind of deserve it. Stupid Mercury kids and their sticky fingers. They'd get into trouble one day, especially if they tried to rob him again. Trouble... as in get an electric shock trouble. Not as bad as what Underwood could do, but bad enough to knock the person out for a few minutes and send Edmund an alarm signal. Or, now that he was thinking of it, he should have done something akin to what Hermione did in Harry Potter. Have whoever tried to break into his things get the word "sneak" shaved into their head so that the bald spots would spell it out. "I wish," he grumbled coldly as Felicity mentioned Rogers potentially going to jail for X-Box stealing. Great. Now the older boy had to stay with them or endure Stone's wrath. Edmund would prefer the latter, easily. And of course Rogers had to challenge her into it. Edmund just rolled his eyes. Gods he was in preschool again. Besides, if Felicity tattled on him, he wouldn't care. To hell with authority. Ed hadn't been outside of Camp in years; who could blame him for wanting to screw the rules and leave for just an hour? Or just screw rules in general? He had nothing to loose but his life.

He just gave a semi shrug as Felicity said that he was right. "Fair," the sixteen year old muttered as she said they couldn't over do it either. Well, they should at least get out of the streets and into someplace else where they could fit in easier. He wasn't sure how common it was for three teenagers to just hang around in the street in a city like this. Maybe it was like in New York, like his mother had told him: surrounded by people, yet you could be utterly alone since everyone else was just too absorbed in themselves. Edmund made himself keep his focus forward, to not glare at the policeman's retreating back. Oh how he hated authority... He trailed along with the two older Campers until the golden arches were almost right above their heads. Edmund's dark brown eyes scanned the building and then followed the two older campers in. "Me I guess," Ed grumbled with a shrug. That's what they had sneaked out of here to get, anyway, so why not go through with it? He wouldn't let Rogers appearing spoil absolutely everyone.

The sixteen year old raised his eyebrows as Rogers ordered. That much food for him? Wow. Either Rogers was really hungry or he was going to stock pile and black market sell it at Camp. His eye brows raised slightly as Rogers stepped up to pay. A son of Mercury? Was this the apocalypse? "You, paying?" he asked sarcastically, eyeing him.

Felicity sighed. Here she was trying to get people to actually respect Edmund and he just told her to leave it be. She was only trying to be a good friend! Perhaps it was a lost case to try to find an even ground between Josh and Edmund. However, Felicity did get Josh to quit calling him names. That had to be a plus, even if Ed had told her to drop it. Yet, then Josh went and basically gave Ed the option of them not talking all during this trip. Perhaps it would just be easier if Felicity left Josh on some corner. This was suppose to be a trip for Edmund, not Ed and Josh. Maybe Felicity really was doing the bad thing by dragging Josh with them. Only time would tell if the son of Mercury was either going to improve or destroy their adventure outside.

She couldn't help but laugh at Joshs courage. "whoa, someone not afraid of Remus? That has to be a first. I'll have to tell him that one the next time we hang out." Felicity said with a laugh but was cut short when Josh pointed out that she would have to explain why she was out too. He had a point. Felicity doubted she could manipulate Remus' somewhat almost non existent feelings for her and use it for her own benefit. The thought of that almost made Felicity want to roll on the ground laughing. "I'd think of something. Actually, just don't make me have to think of a situation like that. Just be good." Felicity said, a tad frustrated.

Once they got into the McDonalds Felicity leaned against the counter. At Joshs order her eyes kept getting wider at each added item. She had only brought twenty dollars with her. How the heck was she suppose to pay? Besides, where did Rogers put all that food anyways? At Eds sarcastic question she couldn't help but smile. Then when Josh offered to pay Felicity nodded. "Well, sounds good. Considering I only have twenty dollars." Felicity said with a bit of a laugh. Since Ed hadn't ordered Felicity figured it was her turn.

She looked at the menu. It had changed, now it showed what calories was in every single item. That was stupid. Then again, she had heard that America has been striving to be more of a healthy country. Like that would ever happen. She stared at the menu, trying to decipher everything through the ever loved demigod dyslexia. "Ummm...I'll take the...uh. Chesseburger happy meal. Uh, plain. Just meat and cheese. Also, can i get a boy toy" Felicity asked as she nodded towars the little toy display. The girls toy was Barbie: Princess Shoes dolls and the boys was Hex Bugs. Those little bug replicated objects looked interesting. Felicity wanted to examine it. She smiled at the finish of her order and ushered Ed forward. Edmund's reply was something that Josh didn't expect at all, so the awkward kid was leaving the door open? He told him that it would depend on him if he talked to him or not. By the kid's attitude he felt that he didn't want him to talk to the kid, but who knew... Maybe if he talked to him in a civil way, maybe Edmund wouldn't have a bad moment. He understood that Felicity wanted to give Edmund a nice, pleasent afternoon and it had been fate who led them to meet in that place.

Maybe the last person Edmund wanted to see was Josh, and there he was, spoiling the kid's moment. He sighed and continued walking, when Felicity replied at his non existent fear at Remus. She said something about they hanging out which made him frown and felt that awkward feeling in the pit of his stomach to be set on fire, it was liquid acid burning everything inside him, his heart was getting part of it too. He breathed deeply and smiled at Felicity once more. "so... you and Mr. robo-roman hang out... I didn't know that... and that's a lot to say... I know a lot of things."

He tried to keep calm but how?! well starting with the fact that maybe Felicity didn't like him at all! maybe she was only being nice to him because a) she was a pure one and b) because being so nice she cared for the thief that everybody hated! "Nothing bad will happen, so you two will go back and no one will know" he said as a personal promise, he would take care of them, even when Felicity was thousands of times more powerful than he was, well, he would try, at least they would get back safely and Remus wouldn't get angry at her.

Inside, he looked at Edmund and smiled with a nod. "yeah, I'm paying, I'm not a complete leach, you know?" then he sighed and shrugs. "just don't tell anone I paid for something, it would ruin my style" he smiled in a friendly way then looked at Felicity and nods at her order, "only that? you can order something else if you want, extra fries or something like that." then he looked at Ed, "and you? only a happy meal?" he asked and then looked at the counter, he was going to pay so he hoped Ed at least ate something, if not... well he would tell Felicity to pay for Ed's maybe then he would eat.

Edmund could really care less about the "forge boy" title. It was true: he was a forge recluse; besides had been called much worse at school. After a while, the name calling got old. Did it take a toll? No comment, but he could live with names being thrown at him. Josh was no different from everyone else. It wasn't like Edmund expected any different, anyway. School, Legion, Outside, Mortal world. The people were all the same. He and Josh (aka anyone else) seeing eye to eye on anything was pretty much non existent. Talk to him, not talk to him, their choice. He honestly couldn't care less; whatever they chose though, they would get Edmund Simons: an antisocial, lost cause, forge jerk. Already, this outing was starting to seem like a bad idea. They already had one freaking tag along; a sticky fingered Mercury and even more demigod scent to attract monsters. Ode to freaking joy.

The sixteen year old gave his eyes a slight roll and ignored their conversation. Potentially getting turned in to Stone, whatever. Not his concern. Edmund had been caught breaking rules more than once. Not like he was fazed by it anymore. Taking advantage of the dull, two person conversation, the demigod's eyes began to wander around his surroundings again. This time though, they looked less suspicious and more... curious. Get past the notion that there were a lot of people, and it looked rather fascinating. Bright lights, mechanics, millions of technological gadgets that made something in his blood buzz and become more alert. Had his dad ever traveled here on business conference? He pushed the thought out of his mind as soon as it entered. Back to reality: Edmund's dark eyes rolled slightly as Josh said he knew a lot of things. "Could have fooled me," he snapped, trudging forward.

"Uh-huh," Edmund said, back to his flat, untrusting voice. Nothing would happen. Bull. Looking up towards the menu, Edmund silently cursed his demigod-ness. All the letters spiraled and disappeared from his view. Then again, he vaguely remembered some of the menu's items from when his family would come for food here on occasion. Then again, Felicity was expecting him to get a Happy Meal... eye roll. A ghost of a smirk flashed across his face as Felicity requested a boy toy. His dark gaze followed her's to the toys on display. Very girly and then very boy-ish. Somethings never changed. "No, I didn't," Edmund grumbled, side glaring at Rogers. "Whatever." Not like he was going to go anywhere with that information. He only had one, sure fire place to go really and that was to the grave. He shied away at Felicity's touch, but inched forward just the same. Oh great. His turn. He gave his head a curt nod. "Yeah, just a Happy Meal," he muttered resentfully. Gods... first time in... his life that he ever ordered anything outside of Camp. Of course, he had tried when he was little, with his mom and dad, but had chickened out at the last minute. That had been when he was a shy child. A very long time ago.

Felicity smiled with a nod. "Yeah, from time to time. He helps me get over the um...that incident." Felicity said softly. Why did that memory still bother her. It was a year. Yet, she caused it and was in some ways still responsible for the blood that had fallen that day. The screams that had rung out, the confusions, the chaos. All those things were still very vivid in her mind. She was responsible. She had the blood on her hands. Despite all that Remus wanted to help Felicity get over it all. She couldn't help but smile at the time he told her that he would be there for her if she needed someone to talk to. She laughed at Eds comment. "Really? I thought all you had in the brain of yours was trouble." Felicity said sarcastically.

Felicity remained silent. She had a feeling that despite all the precautions she took something bad will still happen. Whether it be mythical or completely normal. Maybe she was just over thinking the situation. They were just three teenagers going out to get some food at McDonalds. They weren't causing a scene or anything.

Felicity nodded. "Yeah, just a happy meal. That's all I had planned on getting anyways." She said with a friendly smile. She watched Ed order. She didn't know it was possible to order a happy meal with such a scary tone. Poor cashiers, not knowing what to make of the son of Vulcan. Once the order was all paid for and the cashiers put their cups on the tray Felicity grabbed one and walked over to the soda bar, not waiting for Josh or Edmund.

Why couldn't she shake the feeling something bad was going to happen. She stared at the choices, still thinking about this foreboding feeling inside her. It was probably best to keep them to herself, that way Ed and Josh wouldn't have to worry. To anyone looking at Felicity they probably would have thought she was going insane. Just staring at the choices of drink and not filling her cup.
