It was difficult for Josh to keep his attention on Jason's voice. His ADHD was kicking hardly as his mind was still kind of loose because of the transfussion and the recent come back to life. He frowned when he asked him about the five people he had realized that would concern about him. He breathed deeply and tried to focus. the images of the people he had thought about were popping into his mind, so he closed his eyes trying to get them in order so as their names and the reasons why he had picked them as the ones that would be his anchor to this life.

"well... My brother Rick..." he smiles and frowns talking was painful for him and his ribs. "he is... my baby bro... I swore to never... leave him alone..." then the image of the kid that was there holding his hand. He opened his eyes and looked at him. "Lance too... just look at his face..." smiles and winks at Lance. "I'm fine... I won't be... this stupid again... well... not soon..." he smiled at Lance. Then he breathed deeply and it hurt again, he squizzed Lance's hand. "Rhia... that little witch... she will be so upset..." smiles like a fool, maybe it was the dizziness or maybe the lack of blood, but his face reflected his feelings for her. Maybe Lance would het the vibe of the truth in his words.

He opened his eyes and continued, trying to keep himself alive and awake. Jason had been working so hard that it would be so harsh of him to die on his operating table. "My father..." he said not wanting to mention his name, at the sound of it he could jump in and tell him how fool he had been and how he wasn't ready to be trained by him, so he only said that. "Felicity..." she was the girl he thought he loved, so for him she was more than just a friend. then Zidane popped in there too. "wow... the praetor..." he smiled widely and then frowned again. "you're right doc... more than five" he said and he felt a cramp on his ribs' muscles, the meds were healing him and it was painful too.

Opened his eyes and looked at Lance. he was right, accidents happened to anybody, but sometimes he looked for them, he wasn't that careful. He was reckless and he needed to grow up on that if he wanted to be a good model to his brother Rick and for Lance too. "I'm sorry, I was reckless..."

Jason listened as Josh told about the people. When Josh mentioned his brother it reminded Jason of how he always was looking out for Ethan. It must be an older brother thing. Jason didn't know who would look out for Ethan if Jason was to leave. He didn't want to think about it. At the mention of Lances face Jason smiled. That little kid was worried about Josh but was also try to be strong for him. Jason would have to give the kid a sticker or something. What would a kid like in the infirmary? Maybe they still had some lollipops. He would have to check up on that. As he continued Jason wrote down some notes on the clipboard pertaining to Josh. So far it seemed that everything was going great, which was good. Though, even if Josh wanted to leave today and was able he wouldn't be able to, there was still some tests waiting for him. Those would probably start tomorrow. Now the question was how to keep Josh here, he was a renowned sneak thief. He was going to have to ask Ethan how to handle a Mercury kid.

At Joshs comment about him being reckless Jason had to hold back a laugh. That would have been rude. Instead he turned to the checkout station near the front of the infirmary and grabbed two stickers, featuring winnie-the-pooh. He handed one to Lance, the one with piglet helping winnie the pooh water the flowers. "I owe you one kid, Lance. Without you the equipment might not have been ready in time to help Josh. Thanks." Then Jason took the pooh sticker with all the characters holding the net and searching and stuck it on Joshs forehead. "And, of course, one for the patient." Jason said with a smirk looking at his handiwork.

For now all the serious medical treatment was done. Josh might be tired but that was about it. If everything had gone well Josh shouldn't be in much pain. "Though, one question. As of right now, on a scale of one to ten, how serious is your pain?" Jason asked as he grabbed the clipboard again, ready to jot down Joshs answer in order to figure out what else might need to be done today.

Lance listened carefully to Josh, his ears acutely aware of every word he said, writing it down on a mental tablet. He would make sure to find every person who Josh said, and tell them. There were a couple that was going to be difficult, his dad for one thing. Then the praetor was mentioned, and Lance could figure that one out easily. It had to have been his brother Zidane. He'd make sure they would know he thought about them, that he was hurt badly and it would be good to visit. Lance was going to have to be a bit of a messenger, which was fine considering his grandfather was one. A smile, a real one this time, came across his young face. He didn't mind being a bit like his grandfather, and Josh had been able to count over five people. Lance didn't know how many would visit him if he were in the same position. He had talked to so few people in camp, and ever they were few and far between when he talked to them. They wouldn't even know if he was in the infirmary, who would tell them? That was why Lance had to make sure he told Josh's loved ones first thing, though he would have to try and avoid the subject of how bad josh was hurt. Avoiding the truth should be his specialty. “We're demi-gods, it's okay to be reckless sometimes. Who wants to live forever right?”

Lance watch as Jason wrote things on the paper, it all seemed like a garbled mess for a moment but he was able to decode some of it. He was still not sure about some of it, words he didn't know and abbreviations that made no sense. Soon the clipboard was put down, and Lance was given something. He looked down at the sticker, and back up again as Jason stuck one on Josh's forehead. He smiled and laughed a bit, thanking Jason for the sticker. “Ready equipment would have meant nothing without a skilled physician.” he replied with a smile. He felt so relieved, it was a great sign that Josh was in the full and clear. He wanted to break down crying, but he would not. Lance did not know the last time he cried, and he certainly didn't want to do it now. It might never stop, he felt like he held so much inside and if he started crying he'd go on forever.

"You said about a week? I'll make sure to visit every day until the doctors release you okay? I'll be here until they kick me out." He said with a smile, looking from Jason back to Josh. He was serious, just as serious as he was about his training. It would make that predicament a little awkward, but he was sure as long as he did extra training during not visiting hours the centurion would let him be by Josh's side.

Josh's body was in a weird state, he felt the pain all over his body, the ambrosia was already leaving his system if not that it had already left it an dhis blood was clean again, but he wasn't sure, he still felt how it burned in some places, or that burning sensation was just the remainings of the scorpions' poison that was still craving into his flesh? He wasn't sure, his mind was a mess too. His usual ADHD that made his mind go a thousand times faster and erratic than the mind of a mortal, was in that moment maybe 60% more erratic but 40% slower, he simply couldn't think properly!

He closed his eyes for a second and saw the scorpions all over him once more, so he opened them fast and looked around by the moment that Jason was placing a stamp on his forehead. He frowned and looked up making his eyes crossed for a moment, then he looked back at Lance and he laughed when he saw the small stamp. "that look like you..." he laughed once mor, but the pain on his ribs was a killer one, so he made a painful face, frowned, clenched his eyes and jaw, then also twisted his lips. He breathed deeply and the pain muted for a second allowling him to talk again.

He looked at Lance and smiled faintly. "what I got?" he asked talking about his stamp. Then looked at Jason and then back at Lance. "he is right, I also owe my life... to you" He smiled and then closed his eyes, he was losing it, not dying, just falling asleep or maybe fainting, he wasn't sure at that point and he didn't know if he should sleep or not, maybe he shouldn't. What would happen if the poison was still in his system? what if without the ambrosia, the venom was again attacking him and if he fell asleep he would never open his eyes again?! He opened his eyes again, a bit scared, but controled it.

"I'll stay,..." he closed his eyes and breathed deeply, then opened them again. "I won't be missed in the trainings..." he half smiled then closed his eyes, the image of the scorpions' popped again in his mind, so he opened his eyes once more. He looked at Lance again. "It's be fun to have you around... maybe you'll meet Rick, my brother."royal He smiled and the frowned at Jason, he really wanted a direct answer to that? "ok... if I breath..." he clenched his eyes and then opened them again. "a 15... If I don't breath like a 9, If I just stay here and only my blood goes and comes with my heart working... a 6. But don't ask me to move or I'll have to say a 50..." He smiled and almost laughed but he frowned in pain. "I feel my head so slow..."

Jason smiled down at Lance. "Not a problem kid. Hope you enjoy that sticker though." He thought about what Lance said. True, it would have been really hard for the transfusion to go without a problem without a physician around. "True, plus you have the best one here. Sure, the other staff would have done an okay job, but with me Josh got the five star medical treatment. He's lucky this is all free." Jason said in jest as he laughed a bit. Though, to be honest, Jason was nervous the entire he had to do the transfusion, he seemed calm but with everything he does he always remembers that persons life is in his hands. Jason doesn't ever want to fail. He takes failures in life and death situations pretty bad, after the Mt. Othrys battle Jason went into a depression for awhile. If it wasn't for Ethan who knows what he would have done. Sure, you win some and you lose some. But when it's a human life you always hope you will never lose.

He furrowed his brow as he watched Josh laugh and then stop in pain. It was obvious that the kid will be in pain for awhile now. Who wouldn't be. With poison, then ambrosia overdose, and then a blood transfusion all in one day. If he weren't a demigod Josh might not have survived. Even with him as a demigod there was only a fifty percent survival rate with all that he went through that day.

Finally came Joshs answer to his question. As the numbers came pouring out, each with the description of what he was doing to associate with the pain, Jason jotted down on the notepad. Okay, so Josh was in pain, Jason understood that. "Yeah, you don't have to worry about moving anywhere. You are stuck in bed. You won't even be allowed up to use the restroom for three days. I'll have a team move you to a room that has a proper bed and they will show you how to use the bedpan." Jason said. He glanced over his noted one last time. "Well, that's about all I got for you Josh. Any other questions, Josh, or Lance, do you have anything you need to ask me?" Jason asked.

Lance looked at his sticker, he looked like it? Perhaps piglet, since he was a bit small and liked helping out. He certainly hoped he didn't look like pooh, don't get him wrong pooh is awesome but that belly was not something the legion needed. It did seem sometimes that he ate about as much as Winnie the Pooh, but that was just about normal for growing teenagers and especially descendents of Mercury. Lance for sure couldn't think of a time he hadn't seen his grandfather eating something. Did gods even need to eat? They had ambrosia and nectar didn't they? What need did they have for other food? Lance didn't know, but he wasn't about to ask either.

"Well you have Piglet, Tigger, and Pooh with bug catching gear looking around. Maybe for honey?" Lance said looking closely at Josh's sticker. It seemed they were still slightly on the topic that Lance had done something to be really helpful. He didn't feel he had done anything special, just used the gift of speed his grandfather gave him to help Josh out. They were family. A small smile came across his face as he though about it, the red tinge of his cheeks coming out when Josh thanked him. "I only did what I could, I mean...we're family right Uncle Josh?" he said looking back down at the sticker in his hands again. He didn't want to look up at them, he was embarrassed and extremely happy.

Lance looked at Josh wondering what he could have meant, obviously Josh would be missed at trainings. They were mandatory so everyone had to attend. Surely Josh had been going every day like he was supposed to. Even though Lance didn't know all the people in his cohort he certainly knew when someone was missing. The lines were messed up, and he could recognize the faces of people who were out of place. He was certainly trying to remember peoples names, and had gotten a good deal better, but it was a long process. He knew the people who stood beside him, to his left and right. They always called roll so he knew them by face and name, so the people beside Josh would know.

The numbers disturbed Lance, Josh looked to be in a great deal of pain but Lance had hoped it wouldn't be as bad. Maybe a 9 at it's highest when he was laughing. No, 9 was the median score and necessary for living. He fidgeted with the sticker in his hands, pealing a corner and putting it back repeatedly. Looking over at Jason, he waited for a reply. It was prompt and Lance could really appreciate having someone like Jason near by. Lance shook his head. He didn't have any questions at the moment. "If I have questions later can I come and ask you?" he said quietly, still fumbling with the sticker, which now had one corner not sticky anymore.
