Appearance ;;
There is no doubt about it that Jameson is one of the older campers located in Camp Jupiter. Perhaps even the oldest who has yet to retire after his ten years served. This certainly shows once a person gazes upon him for the first time. He has the look of an older, more mature man who has seen plenty of over his time, as is evident from the lines lingering on his face. Some include lines developed after hardships suffered or, as is more typical of Jameson, some are simply laugh lines, or wrinkles developed from grinning excessively. Speaking of his well-known smile, it is something of a crooked matter as he never succumbed to the need for braces as a child. However, he still sees a need for oral hygiene so his teeth are impeccably white, making up for the fact that his smile is crooked and off-center. His lips are a light pale pink and his nose is a touch too big for his own face, as well, but it almost suits his personality. As for his brown hair, it usually sits upon his head in a rather messy, windswept manner as he is constantly mussing it up with his fingers.
Jamie stands at a measure height of 6'2", nearly lanky with a decent enough layer of lean muscle. He is partial to ignoring the rules of the camp when it comes to wearing the standard purple shirt as he feels more casual and comfortable in his own jeans and t-shirts. Not to mention, as he sees it, he has served long enough that they should allow him a little slack when it comes to uniform assignments.
Personality ;;
There is no denying the fact that Jamie has never quite fit into the stereotypical role of Roman warrior. Being a descendant of both Apollo and Mercury, he has inherited more carefree traits than anything else. For example, for the past twelve years, he has been nothing but a relaxed jokester. He walks around with a light mood about him, always exchanging teasing remarks with fellow campers, even the most unpleasant of the bunch. Nearly next to nothing can set the man in a bad mood, which may be considered an obnoxious personality trait at some times. While it means that he is almost always calm in a stressful situation, it also means he can be something of a pest because he cannot take anything seriously. No, instead he makes sassy remarks and jokes while things are tense and uncomfortable, which often irritates others around him. A shame, because he doesn't see anything wrong with it, and usually won't take the subtle hints that other people are giving him to shut the heck up already.
Naturally being a descendant of Mercury, Jamie is also prone to having sticky fingers. He realizes and recognizes that technically thievery is wrong, but he personally believes that 'it's not against the rules, if you don't get caught.' Considering he's been around for a long time now, in comparison to his relatives, he hardly ever does get caught. The same is true for when he insists on pulling a prank or two on another camper. He may be a goof, but he's a cautious, sly one for when it counts-including during battle. Some may insist that he acts like too much of a child for his older age, but he disregards that as that being their problem, as opposed to his own problem. Also, given his energy, Jamie constantly needs to be distracted doing things-hence why he has still yet to officially retire from the Camp.
Now that a trait passed down from Mercury has been acknowledged, it is only fitting to acknowledge a trait characteristic of his other immortal relation, Apollo, to be acknowledged. With a girl of an acceptable age, Jamie can be quite a flirt. He recognizes certain boundaries with girls in camp because most of them are much too young for him, but given a pretty face and a respectable age, then you'll certainly see just how charming he can be-mind you, it's more of a silly, sweet charm more than anything else.
Despite his more chipper, friendly personality, Jamie also has his problems. For example, while he might be perfectly social and amicable, he doesn't actually have many close friends. Yes, he befriends a lot of people, but he rarely ever lets people in. He doesn't put emotional trust in many people because so far he has found people ultimately let him down, and he simply believes he has too much emotional damage that he shouldn't really be allowed to connect too closely with others.
Powers ;;
As Jameson was claimed primarily by the god Mercury, it is only reasonable to assume that most of his powers are similar to those of Mercury demigods. He is relatively athletic, having a special interest in running and soccer of all things. Basketball too, occasionally. Naturally, as was already mentioned, he's a bit of a thief and a jokester. With time, he also managed to master the ability to teleport-though it should be known that it took him nearly his entire time at camp to narrow it down to a science, as he is only a legacy after all.
Regarding any powers passed down from Apollo, those are far and few. He is shockingly mediocre at archery, and sings as off-key as is humanly possible-note that this still doesn't stop him from singing sometimes, anyways. His healing capabilities are restricted to the numerous medical classes he has taken at the Academia, because while he is interested in the idea of healing, he doesn't actually have the power to do so without mortal methods such as sutures or first aid. His finger-painting skills are rather adept, but aside from that and perhaps watercolor, he can't get a grasp for artistic talent either. However, Jamie has managed to inherit his father's musical gift with the guitar and the piano so at least that's something there!
Family ;; Danika Parker + Mother + Daughter of Apollo
Henry Parker + Father + Son of Mercury
Jenna Manilo + Step-Mother + Daughter of Venus
Bethany Williams + Ex-Fiancee + Daughter of Mars
History ;;
Danika and Henry Parker were married in the early stages of their relationship. They met as young children in the Roman camp but didn't develop any romantic interest until they were both retired and each approaching age twenty. Many insisted that they were too quick to marry and even quicker to have a child, but they ignored those warnings as people simply trying to dampen their happiness. In retrospect, they would realize that their decision was the wrong one, but when they were gifted with a son, they couldn't possibly be more happy with him. At least for the first few years anyways. Jameson, already nicknamed Jamie, was born on a spring day in April, in New Rome, to the two happy parents. He was a handful even as a child, always getting into things he perhaps shouldn't have, and as soon as his uncle taught him how to-he would do things such as switched the sugar for the salt. His mother liked to refer to him as 'adventurous' while his father very clearly labeled him as a 'mischief-maker.' Neither happened to mind though, as they found their baby boy endearing and precious to say the least.
It was around age seven that things started to spiral downward for the little family. Danika and Henry married with little knowledge of all of the flaws of one another, and as such, they were starting to pick out the little, or sometimes big, things about one another that really set them off. Arguments became frequent and after too long it was revealed that Henry had indulged in an affair with a daughter of Venus. Naturally, this nearly ruined Danika and sent the set of parents straight to one road: divorce. It was odd because for parents who seemed to care so much, they actually ended up arguing very little over who would get custody of Jamie. Even at a young age, Jamie was aware of that, and he felt when he finally ended up living with his father and newly pronounced step-mother-the very woman his father had cheated with-that he had been more of an afterthought than anything else.
Living with his step-mother was an adjustment for him as he was quick to learn that she was everything bad about a daughter of Venus, and even worse, she absolutely detested Jamie's existence. For the most part then, he stayed out of the way, lingering in his bedroom and waiting for the day when he was finally sent away to see Lupa at age ten. After a considerable amount of time spent there, he was then permitted entrance to the Roman Camp. His years there were much more enjoyable for him given he no longer had to live in fear of his step-mother, but noticeably he was quite shy and withdrawn for a while. His step-mother, who had been prone to a little bit of both verbal and physical abuse, had drastically changed his attitude. It took him a couple years at Camp but eventually his mischievous, cheerful demeanor began to surface again-until it was the first thing that people noted about the boy. Well aside from the fact that he was a mean fighter with a sword.
His years at Camp were primarily uneventful, but he did meet one person who influenced him for years to come. Her name was Bethany and she was a fiery daughter of Mars who had caught his flirtatious eye and managed to hold it. The couple were together until he turned twenty-three, engaged even, when unfortunate luck struck him again. After the death of her mother, Bethany became almost unbearable. She was controlling, and nearly vicious with him-something which he attempted to ignore until the very last shoe dropped. The past came back to haunt him in another affair, but this time it was his own problem and not his mother's. Needless to say, Jamie broke off the relationship and found himself to be much happier as a result. Once again, his cheerfulness returned in full force.
The battle with the Titans obviously took its toll on him as well as it did on everyone else. He nearly died from a severe stab wound but fortunately one of the other Apollo kids managed to salvage things. The wound still bothers him occasionally with bursts of soreness and pain, especially now that he's getting a little too old for Camp. Still, the man refuses to quit quite yet as he sees himself as having little else going for him if he moves to New Rome. In terms of recent occurrences at the Camp, Jamie has done his best to stay out of such things. He doesn't like to worry himself too much with the serious matter but if it came to it, he is almost one hundred percent likely to stick with the Camp above all else.

Unsurprisingly, Ozzie looked as though the very idea of someone wandering over to socialize with him hadn't even occurred. She supposed the look of shock could also have been accredited to the fact that he simply hadn't been expecting to see her, but she was going to go ahead and assume that perhaps it was a combination of both. Socializing wasn't even among the list of the man's strong suits as far as Em was aware. Not that it was a problem in her eyes, but she supposed it was something of an inconvenience when it came to him making friends outside of pushy social butterflies such as herself. The only reason, she suspected, that their friendship really worked and had lasted as long as it had was because of her. That wasn't to sound self-centered or anything, it was merely her honest perception of the truth. She was always the one to initiate conversation when she was visiting Hogwarts, or owls, or even nearly every single outing they enjoyed together (outings primarily being lunch-when she could talk the shy man into it, that was).
Em had to assume that it was difficult putting yourself out there when you were shy, but she could never quite comprehend it. She had never suffered from being an introvert, after all. Even as a child, she was running her mouth constantly. In muggle elementary school, she was both adored for her talkative nature, but also scolded for it. While her reports bragged about the fact that she was well-liked by her peers, was a good leader, and was never biased in choosing her friends, the reports also read that she had a problem keeping her mouth shut during story time or math lessons. It was a flaw. Even now sometimes. Though that was perhaps a reason why it was possible for her and Ozzie to interact. Where he was too unsocial, she was perhaps too social. But with them, it could work, as they merely seemed to compensate for what the other lacked.
Her grin slowly started to soften as he took a few quiet moments to collect himself and return her greeting. Really there was only one word to describe the man perfectly: precious. Many found a shy personality off-putting as they felt those less social few made for more awkward interactions, or occasionally they'd misinterpret the introverts as being stuck-up. But for Emmeline, it was refreshing. There was something innocent and sweet about Ozzie that she simply couldn't help but find immensely endearing. "Well I'd hope it at least wasn't a horrible surprise," She replied teasingly, though she had heard something along those lines several times before. Never from Ozzie of course. Just from the random one or two persons that didn't find her personality alluring in any manner whatsoever. Their loss.
If she had turned her head only a second sooner than she did, Em would have missed the light color that lit up the man's face. Fortunately for her though, she glimpsed it right as she was turning her face for a quick glance around the grounds. Naturally she kept it to herself, as she didn't see the need to make him feel any more embarrassed or uncomfortable than he was. Of course that didn't stop her from smiling affectionately to herself as soon as her head was tilted away enough that he couldn't witness the small action. "No need for a thank you, just stating an honest observation," The woman informed him in a chipper tone as she returned her full attention back to the professor. Why couldn't the professors have been a little more like him back in her days at Hogwarts? Well, because that would have been too fair, she supposed.
Noting the way he played at his attire, she laughed softly to herself, the noise echoing briefly around the near-empty courtyard. "Relax, you're just a little crooked up top here," She informed him, reaching out and straightening his bowtie with just a finger. "Perfection," She assured him, reaching to pat him gently on the shoulder. Yes well..personal boundaries, she lacked a few of those, she supposed.
"Well, at least you're being optimistic about it, Ozzie," As she really wouldn't. She was never very focused the week of a dance, or even a week after as her and the other students were still buzzing about who had snogged who, or who had broken up with who the day after the dance, and so on and so forth. "Though I'm sure they weren't useless. Just....almost." Em shrugged slightly, grinning ruefully, as it was rather true..She couldn't see any student paying attention to a class when there was such an exciting event planned for the evening.
Tucking her hands into the pockets of her jeans, Em scuffed one of her shoes lightly against the ground as she shrugged her shoulders yet again. "I am ashamed to say I forgot the ball was even tonight. Though I don't think the random alumni was really invited anyhow, so bullet dodged there," The brunette grinned brightly. At least she didn't have to play chaperon (like it always seemed she was doing at work). "Actually, I just came to check on a patient who got transferred back over here." A perfectly sound explanation.
"Now..what about you? I'm assuming you're either out here because you're catching a little fresh air in the peace and quiet..or you're a rather poor dancer and don't want to have to go back in their and admit that when one of the other professors asks you to dance?"
