Appearance ;;
With short dark hair and a goatee he looks remarkably similar to a certain super hero. His stormy grey eyes shine through no matter what form he takes. He can adjust his height to match the person he's with, but tends to stand about 5'10". It's what he finds to be a rather good height for kissing, which might be one of his priorities. Being a Roman himself he's built as one, strong arms, chest, and legs. Certainly not like that over built Mars, or like his enforcers, but well for a Roman god.
He has a powerful presence wherever he goes, not only from his strength as one of the big Three but also from the way he holds himself. More than just a soldier he holds himself straight and tall, despite not being the tallest around. There are even demigods taller than him, but he doesn't care. Shoulders back, chin high he gives off a regal air, though not unapproachable.
Personality ;;
Jupiter is an egotistic, lecherous fool, but he believes highly in justice. Should he be unable to know for a fact he could be impartial about a ruling he will leave it up to council or a contest. If he imagines that he is being plotted against or insulted, he can be very unforgiving. Sometimes his negative traits override his better judgment and he uses his personal wishes or what he sees as best for himself, rather than the greater good.
He has a tendency to over react when his rules or laws are broken, or if someone disobeys his order. As the King of the Gods, is very proud, commanding and has a very high amount of self-respect, to the point of condescension and narcissism. He demands respect and precedence from mortals, demigods, and the other gods. He can be excessively paranoid, as well as self-centered and easily insulted.
He bickers a good deal with his brothers, and there is a bit of bad blood between them from going after each others children, but he loves them. Don't tell them. He loves his children and at times their mothers, a trait that he admits is admirable in his brother Pluto. Again, nothing that will ever reach the other gods ears. The only one he has ever admitted his care for his hard headed brothers is his wife, Juno.
While he hates playing favorites with his kids, or perhaps not so much really since he's terrible at hiding or lying about anything, Mercury is definitely his favorite. The boy has spunk, and his own good looks. Not to mention how wonderfully he gets along with Mars. Jupiter can't help but dislike the children Juno had which were not his own.
Powers ;;
Master Bolt: His most powerful weapon, the Master Bolt, is incredibly powerful, easily making a hydrogen bomb look like a firecracker in comparison.
As one of the Big Three, he has the ultimate powers a god can possess, and is rivaled only by his brothers, Poseidon and Hades. He possesses the standard physical, intellectual, and magical superiority inherent in all gods, though to a much greater degree due to his status as one of the oldest gods as well as one of the Big Three.
As the god of the sky, he has absolute control over air, able to manipulate clouds and any other air structures. He can generate wind and incredibly powerful hurricanes or tornadoes, he has absolute control over the weather. He can manipulate air currents and fly. His domain also includes the air waves.
As the god of Thunder and Lightning, he has absolute control over both static and celestial electricity as well as being immune to them. Tremendous bolts of lightning can send static shock through the bodies of others on contact.

History ;;
At his birth his father had already eaten all of his siblings, and in her motherly love of her children Ops secured the youngest one and gave Saturn a rock instead. The baby was sent to an island, raised and pampered by nymphs and of course his grandmother Gaia. This environment inevitably had an effect on the god, grandchildren can hardly do wring in their grandmothers eyes, and playful nymph that flint around. It goes little in the way of excuses for his future behavior, however it does make sence.
In time he grew, strong and wise. Wise enough to know he could not over throw his father without aid. Wise enough to know he needed his siblings. He went to his cousin Metis the wise for advice in his quest. With her advice he poisoned Saturn's drink allowing his siblings to come whole as adults from his stomach. With his sibling at his side he already had the beginnings of an army. The war was ready, and he began to amass more than just his siblings to his side. His began to fortify Mount Olympus, and prepared there for the war. Had that as their base. For years the battle raged with no obvious victor in sight, until his grandmother advised him about the hundred-handed ones and the cyclopes. He ventured to the underworld and freed them, in their anger at Saturn's betrayal they joined him and helped tip the war in his favor.
That wasn't enough though. Using the helm of Darkness Jupiter had his brother slip into the Titan's strong hold and steal all their weapons as he and Neptune distracted them with lightning and trident. The plan to have the opposing army surrender won out, and the war was over. He was without mercy on his enemies, and gratefully rewarding to his allies. Thus the reign of the Olympians began.
It is known through history that Jupiter enjoys to flirt with women, and after the war was off his mind off the beautiful vixens he did just that. Eventually he decided it would be best o settle down, and get married. The brightest, wisest goddess was his counselor during the war Metis. He married her, but could never erase the feelings he had for the beautiful Juno. It was an adequate marriage, until he heard tell that she would bare the child to over throw him as he did his father. In his mind a sickness grew. Paranoia. It built slowly until she was pregnant with his child. There it festered until he could take no more, and ate whole the woman and child in her stomach. From there Minerva came from his skull. He had devoured his wife, he'd vowed to himself to never do such a thing again. To eat another with the same emotions and mind was to be like his father. He'd not let fear do such a thing to him again.
Traveling eyes never wandered from Juno, her flowing hair and beautiful eyes etched themselves into his mind. Though he did not marry her. For another choice he took the intelligent Justitia, whose words of wisdom where precious pearls, though he never loved her. Not the way he loved Juno. She was a just woman. Knowing of her husbands lust, his extramarital affairs, and the love in his eyes that seemed to trail after his sister, she broke off the marriage. The very woman who divorced him left him with the final counsel, to marry for love not for what he thought was the good of the world. It was 300 years of glances, and soft sighs at the sight of her until he finally took Juno as his wife.
Even the love of his life didn't stop his eyes from wandering here and there. He's have many children with other women, though given the thousands of years he's been alive he thinks he's done a rather nice job, and currently has fewer demigod children than many of the gods.
Jupter has a great amount of love for everyone of his children, and tried to protect them from his wife. The one he never thought he had to worry about was Vulcan, to whom he fathered with his wife. He thought Juno would love him as a mother should, but instead disgusted at his ugliness she threw him from the mountain, claiming he merely fell. To this day she claims that. He was so angered at his wife, though he loved her. He didn't care if everyone thought he threw the child, or if they knew his mother threw him, he made her promise to never do such a thing again. When Vulcan came back, limp or not, Jupiter welcomed him home. Though it seemed he got his revenge on his mother.
In the war a few years ago he fought Jupiter and the other Olympians left Olympus to battle Typhon, leaving their demigod children and a few minor gods to defend their thrones. Jupiter refuses to let any of the other gods return to Olympus, although he does send Mercury to relay messages. They fought for days before Neptune arrived. With their fighting spirit renewed they defeat the monster.
Only a few years passed until his father began to stir up trouble again. To Jupiter it seemed more like a few days. He wished the old titan would just stay down, and it even seemed that he had put his body back together instead of borrowing one. How he wished his brother Pluto would stop breeding.
