She smiled at him. "For now, lets call it a secret." Felicity said with a light laugh. Okay, so now she was just doing that to be a little mysterious. She wasn't going to reveal everything to him in just one night. Granted, they have known each other for awhile, but it wasn't until lately that they have actually gotten closer. Not that Felicity was complaining, it was nice to have someone to talk to. Okay, so she had Charlie and Ed, well Ed didn't really talk and Charlie could be a bit hard to talk to unless it involved fighting in some aspect. Hence why Felicity found it easier to talk to Remus, even if he was super busy. He just had a way of making it easy to talk to him, the only reason it was so awkward for Felicity right now was because she had developed feelings for him. Stupid feelings, always making things more complicated. She laughed. Then the next statement made her blush. "Well, I'm glad you like that then, but I wouldn't call it interesting." She said with a slight laugh.

Felicity couldn't help but smile and laugh. With him denying that they weren't slow dancing it just increased an image of something like that happening in her head. "It's okay Remus, you don't have to deny it. I'll be sure to keep your bromance a secret." She said while trying to keep a straight face, her tone was obviously one of joking though. At the mention of the automaton hound she smiled brightly. "I love Argentum, and Aurum. I should come visit them soon!Actually, I'm surprised they didn't follow you here. Aren't they yours and Zidanes guards?" Felicity asked. She winced as she looked at the individual Remus pointed out. At least they weren't that bad.

She had caught him staring, but she wasn't going to say anything. She didn't want to make it feel awkward, though it did catch her by surprise. She figured he might be staring at a wall or something in order to focus on the dancing, obviously that was not the case. She smiled back at him as he smiled at her. Then a slight blush highlighted her cheeks. "Thanks. You're a great dancer too." Felicity said. She meant it to. For both of them to have no prior knowledge of dancing they were able to dance well together. Then the song was over. She felt her hand being moved and watched as Remus kissed the back of it. Felicitys face was probably as red as a stop sign. Its not like it was bad, it was just unexpected. Her insides felt all confused as it was filled with shock, happiness, and nerves as his lips touched her hand. He asked her something. She was still in a bit of a state of shock, yet happiness. She tried to figure out in her head what he had asked and luckily figured it out. "Uh, well I guess a couple more dances wouldn't hurt. Though if you want to do something else I would totally understand." Felicity said.

“A secret it is then,” he said, not all that surprised. Still curious, yes, but at least not surprised. They were just friends after all, right? Something like that. Even if he wouldn’t mind if it was anything more. He stopped his thoughts there. Wow, what was getting into him. Sure, he’d known Felicity a while, but could he actually like her that way? Nothing against her of course, he just didn’t know it was possible from him. He wasn’t exactly known for his emotional depth. What was that Charlie called it, ‘emotionally constipated’? Sounded about right. He frowned slightly. “Why wouldn’t you call it interesting? Makes you different from everyone else. That’s a good thing. Being the same would be boring.”

When his insistence only brought on laughter, he had to crack a smile. Even though he knew it was likely at his own expense. Now that he thought about it, it really was a rather funny image. “Yes, if me telling him off is bromance, then we’re very close.” Which wasn’t entirely true. He and Zidane did get along fairly well. Something that was rather odd considering how different they were. Then again, he was good friends with a little kid, which was also completely against his norm. So maybe it was him who was changing. Or something insightful like that. He smiled at Felicity. “You should come visit. I know they like seeing you. And yeah, did think of that before, but figured they would be in the way and a little out of place here, so had them stay back. Hope you don’t mind.” Which seemed like an odd statement really, but she had said she liked the dogs after all. Not that he could blame her. He was rather attached to them himself. Come the day, whenever it may, that he retire, it would be hard to give up the companionship of those two dogs. Maybe he should consider a dog of his own. Ah well, a question for another day.

The news that he was a great dancer, though, now that made him question her sanity a little bit. “Nah, just good at mimicking people, I guess. But thank you.” The end of the song was a little sad. Well, not the song itself but the fact that it was over. Dancing with Felicity was surprisingly nice. And he could definitely tell that his sudden decision to kiss her hand had taken her by surprise. And by the look of the color of her face, it was possibly a little embarrassing. Whoops. He really hadn’t meant to embarrass her. But at this point he felt it might be a little odd to apologize. Best to keep his awkward mouth shut then. Until she spoke up. Thankfully it wasn’t to tell him he was a jerk and needed to buzz off or something. Getting ditched on Valentine’s Day by a girl he wasn’t even dating. How horrible would that be? If that happened, he was pretty sure he would go back to giving up on the whole idea of relationships with other humans. Just metal dogs and training dummies. He smiled. “That sounds good to me then.”

He had a point. Everyone being the same would make things awfully boring. Felicity gave him a smile, not commenting. She liked adding an air of mystery, besides, she didn't feel like admitting that she was entirely different from everyone else. She got enough of that by being labeled as Plutos daughter. Talk about a neon sign above her head screaming "Stay away!".

She smiled. "Well, every relationship is different." she said teasing him. True, the dogs would have been a bit out of place among all the campers awkwardly dancing about. Maybe they would be laughing inside. Though, then the questions was, can they laugh, and if they do is it dog styled laugh or a regular laugh? That was something her ADHD mind could wonder about later.

Once the song was over and Felicity opted for another dance, which Remus agreed to, she smirked and as the next song started she begin to dance with him, again. A few songs passed as they danced with each other. With each song Felicity felt more confident in her dancing and it became normal and less awkward. Occasionally she would throw in a corny joke or two about their awkward dancing, but that was just the way she was, corny jokes and all. As the songs passed people left at the end of each.

At the end of another song Felicity looked around. There wasn't many people left, how long had they been dancing? It was probably getting late. She looked up at Remus with a smile. "I suppose time flies when you're having fun." Felicity said with a laugh, which was soon followed by a yawn. Seriously, what time was it? She didn't want to leave Remus if he was enjoying himself but the day full of nerves and then the hour or so of dancing that they did had really worn her out. "This was fun, wouldn't you agree? Different but fun." Felicity stated. "Perhaps, you and I can hang out another time. Maybe in a more comfortable environment, not a camp wide dance. Just, something to think about, if you're up for it. I'm just getting tired is all, sorry if you're still up for dancing." Felicity said a bit nervous and followed by a shrug. She had enjoyed the evening, that much wasn't a lie, and she was tired too. However, she wouldn't mind hanging out more with Remus, though, it would be great if it wasn't in such an awkward place as this was. She figured that if they were in a more comfortable setting it would have made things less awkward for them, possibly.

As if being at a dance wasn’t awkward enough for the stony-faced praetor, actually being at a dance and dancing with someone had to be worse. Thankfully, and oddly, it was Felicity. Her, he could spend the whole evening with. And likely would if allowed to. There was just something about her that made him relax. She was nice, and actually seemed to like hanging around him, which was unusual really. And he couldn’t deny that she was pretty. Whether he should blame teenage hormones for that one or not, he wasn’t so sure. But there definitely was something different about Felicity. In a good way. In a way that made him want to be around her more often. Like now, here at this dance. Even as odd as it was for him to be dancing, it sort of felt normal. Like dancing with Felicity should be the most common thing in the world for him. Which, last he checked, it wasn’t.

But that was what was basically running through his head as he danced with her. That is, as soon as not totally ruining it by crushing her feet ceased to become a topic of great importance. This dancing thing wasn’t really so bad once you got the hang of it. He made a mental note of that. Stop running from formal non military events. They actually could be fun.

He didn’t notice the time passing until Felicity spoke. He also had hardly noticed the song ending until she stopped dancing. It was oddly easy to get lost in things, which was unusual for him really. “Yeah, I guess so.” He smirked a little as she couldn’t hold back a yawn, though it was soon followed by one of his own. Those darn things were contagious! Fun. Most would argue that Remus didn’t know how to have fun, but he’d have to say that tonight definitely counted as fun in his book. “Yeah, definitely different, but fun. Thanks for coming with me.” Even if the Cupid sorting dates thing didn’t really allow for much in the way of options. Then again, she could have just not shown at all and left him hanging. But she didn’t seem the type for that.

Hang out more often? Well, he couldn’t say that idea wasn’t appealing. “Well, then, it’s a date.” He hurried to correct himself, hoping his face wasn’t as red as it felt. “I mean, yeah, we’ll have to do that. But first you need some rest. Come on.” Taking her arm, he led her back through the camp to her own barrack and saw her to the door before leaving, his mind still lost in the night.
