Cadence is of average height, standing at 5'5” and weighs close to 150lbs. Her hair, dirty blond or lighter, depending on the time of the year. Her eyes are greenish blue, some days they are more green then blue. They also tend to change color based on the type of clothes that she wears. She has a slender to athletic build but don't be put off by her smaller size, she has a good deal of muscle. Cadence generally wears her hair up when she is in combat. Any other time, she wears it down in a light curl. It's natural but it is a surprise to those that only see her on the archery field. She has a few scars one her slightly tanned skin, most of them are from training accidents, she's a total klutz when it comes to melee combat. Generally she wears nice clothes, they aren't designer brands, but they are nice. She prefers the girly tee shirts and long sleeves with jeans, but will dress up nicely if the occasion calls for it.

Fiercly independent, Cadence has a rather abrasive attitude that tends to get her in trouble from time to time. She has a hard time playing nicely with others in combat, but outside of it she's rather shy. She has kind of locked herself away from people. She has low self-esteem and tends to not think highly of herself. Cadence has come to rely on only herself to get through things. She doesn't act like most other Apollo children and tends to shy away from the spotlight. She doesn't think she's as good as they are being most of them are musically inclined and she has all the musical ability of a rusty bucket. Cadence is a visual person, she loves to look at things. This is reflected in her artwork. She has a loving and caring hand when it comes to her art and doesn't do it for other people, only for herself.
She has a keen eye in combat, always able to pick out details that other people might have missed. Things like a frayed bow string or a simple untied boot are things she can make even the proudest warrior stumble over. Cadence relies heavily on her bow and ranged combat, making up close and personal melee combat uncomfortable for her. She doesn't play well with others in combat, prefering to stay away from people. Mostly it's because she doesn't want to feel responsible for their deaths if her power of disease should act up. She carries a lot of guilt and shame on her shoulders because of her curse. It's not something that she brings up, but tends to push people away for if they ever manage to find out her secret.

Photokenesis: When her life is jeopardy, Cadence can bend light around her to blind anyone trying to attack her. It has been known to disorient people and only once has caused permanent blindness in an opponent. It only lasts for a moment or two, a couple of minutes at the most, but it's enough to allow her to escape if she needs to, or fire off a deadly shot.
Archery: Cadence is skilled in archery, being her father is pretty darned good at it. While it might not be considered a power, but she's a good shot.
Athletics: Cadence is skilled when it comes to athletic contests. She doesn't ever do as well when it comes to feats of strength or dexterity, but she is like her father when it comes to contests of skill.
Disease: Instead of being able to heal people, like most other children of Apollo, Cadence has been cursed that if she even so much as looks at a medical book, it's like the second coming of the plague. When hanging out with her, make sure you have a bottle of hand sanitizer. It's not a skin on skin contact thing, but to put it nicely, there's a reason she stays away from the infirmary. If a person has an injury, her disease ability acts up. If you're nice and healthy, you have nothing to fear from her.

Though her mother would never say, Cadence knew that her father was a well known doctor. Her and her twin brother Owen were born in Brighton, just thirty minutes away from London in England. Owen was born first, followed by Cadence not three minutes later. Her mother, Eva was the head of the surgery department, that was what she said caught the eye of her father. The stress of having children wasn't something that Eva could deal with, so a Nanny was hired from the start to look after her twin children. They didn't see much of their mother at early ages, the only woman that they ever knew was the woman hired to look after them. While they were only vaguely aware of the woman they called mum, they were a close knit family. Owen was extreamly protective of his little sister and would often get into scuffles over people picking on her. Some of her fondest memories were those of going on outings and being on the play ground, pretending to be able to fly to the sun while on the swings.
When they came of school age, only the best would do. Their mother, while distant, provided the best that they could ask for. But even on the days that required parent teacher conferences, it was their nanny that showed up. Cadence wasn't exactly the best in the class, most of her teachers citing ADD as a problem with her being able to focus. Owen always out shined her as far as being a social butterfly, even all of the teachers loved him. Cadence, while she resented him, always loved her brother. He was her protector. Nanny Jane always made them promise to stick together, that the bond of brother and sister was one of the most important things that could be forged. Nanny Jane would tell them stories of history, but would always try to teach a lesson with each story. Her brother was quick to take up an instrument, much to their mother's delight, but Cadence wasn't musically inclined at all. Her brother would play for her, that delighted her to no end. She wasn't into poetry or literature like her brother either, but it was his gift of some colored pencils and a sketch book that she really started to shine. Nanny Jane always encouraged them to be the best at what they loved.
Close to the age of ten, after a snow storm forced the school to close down early, Cadence and her nanny were on the way home, her brother was staying with a friend, they came upon the nice house that they lived in. After getting inside and settling down with a snack, a strange woman stormed in the house and charged up the stairs. Despite the Nanny's pleas for her to stay while she checked it out, Cadence charged up the stairs after her. The strange woman screamed at her mother who was in bed with a man, later on she would find out that her mother had slept with Jupiter, the woman flew into a rage, killing her mother. Cadence tried to protect her mother from the raging woman but was unsuccessful. The woman looked at Cadence, uttered a curse and vanished from the spot. Cadence ran into her nanny's arms, sobbing. After calming the distraught child down, Nanny Jane left Cadence at her brother's friends house. After coming back, the twins were told that they were going to be taking a little trip. After a long flight, they were dropped off at the wolfhouse where they were quick to learn survival from Lupa. Cadence struggled and once was almost eaten while her brother excelled in the ways of the wolf. Owen wouldn't leave her behind, after all she was his sister.
Getting to camp from the Wolfhouse was an easy trip. Nothing much happened. While her brother was quick to acclimate to the camp, Cadence wasn't so lucky. She had a hard time adjusting to camp life, but it wasn't till she tried her hand in the infirmary after Apollo claimed her that she realized how bad she had it. Every person she tried to help heal ended up coming down with some weird disease. For the most part, the others were able to keep it down to a minimum, Cadence gave up on trying to heal people. She started to resent Apollo, thinking that he had cursed her. She wasn't like the other Apollo kids, she wasn't good at music, she couldn't heal people, Cadence didn't know what she was going to do. Slowly she was starting to progress with her Archery. It wasn't until after the war with the titans that she truly blossomed with her bow. She fought with camp, though she tried hard to be an asset over being a detriment. Cadence will do anything to protect her home but really doesn't feel much love with some of the gods. She had learned over time that Apollo wasn't as bad as some of the other gods were, and it took a few years, but she learned to love him as that distant fatherly type.
