Erich has dirty blond hair that's almost brown, and blue-green eyes. He's of average height, standing at about six foot even. He's muscular and athletic in appearance. When not in roman garb, Erich prefers to wear jeans and a layered tee-shit no matter what the weather is. He also can always be found with his trusty focus staff and necklace of two crossed torches. He is left handed in which that is the arm that he uses to input energy from his magic and his right hand is what he uses to put out the focus of his energy. His right hand and arm are also scared and burned from the war where his spell of volcanic magma and lightening went awry, causing him to be burned. The scar looks like a crackling lightening strike across his skin. Erich has tanned skin from being in the California sun but not overly tanned. It's quite easy to see the scar on his hand and arm, one of the reason why when out of uniform, he wears long sleeved shirts.
Personality ;;
Known mostly as a master of Brute magic, Erich has a forceful and sometimes reckless personality. While he has been known to walk the grey areas of morality, he tends to mostly do the right thing even if his way of going about doing the right thing is a bit, immoral. He has a chaotic nature when it comes to combat, but you couldn't ask for a better comrade. When it comes to finding out knowledge, Erich is extremely disciplined. He is a perfectionist and will not rest till he can perfect his spells. He's not above getting his hands dirty, or physically beating the snot out of someone after jumping on top of them. He is extremely intelligent and has a thirst to learn all sorts of new things.
There are times when he can be seen as wise beyond his years, though those times are sporadically interrupted with fart jokes and being an immature guy at times. Erich gives great advice and can't help but shake his head when people don't listen. He has a bit of a narcissism about him in he thinks that he's right almost all the time. He's been told that he gets that from his mother. He also has a love of children, many of them flock to him for a strange reason. Erich feels a need to protect all the youngsters that come under his care. Erich also subscribes to the seven laws of magic that had been written back in ancient times but have fallen by the wayside in more modern times.

Elemental Magic- Erich has a specailty in elemental magic, specifically fire and earth magic. While he can tap into other elements, earth and fire come more easily to him. Most of his magic is based in his conviction, the more he believes in the spell the more powerful it can be. However, a water spell would be ineffective against a neptune child, a lightening spell would be nullified against a jupiter child, and a fire spell would be ineffective against a vulcan child. Also, in order to cast such elemental spells he requires to have his focus item, in this case it is a hand made redwood staff. Earth and fire magic are done in bursts, his water and air spells take more concentration and are mostly channeled.
Kenitomancy- From an early age, Erich was trained by his mentor in Kenitomancy, or the art of manipulating the magic of stored energy. Like his elemental magic, he requires a focus item to help store and project his magic, in this case, it is a steel necklace with his mother's symbol. It takes intense concentration to use this, especailly if he is projecting a shield. He can cover one maybe two other people at most before he has to restore his energy. At full power, the pendant can only store up enough energy to be used at a constant flow for fifteen minutes.
Familiar- Erich's familiar, a Hawk named Arden, is his to communicate with. Also the hawk can deliver touch spells to people who are a bit further away and out of Erich's reach. The hawk has also been the subject of numerous spell experiments.

Gregor Wiess was a traveling magician, mostly dealing in petty theviery and sleight of hand, but was part of a traveling circus. He was a well known womanizer, and left many trails of broken hearts behind him. So when a woman that had seduced him, or maybe it was the other way around, Gregor couldn't tell you, he had been so soaked in alcohol at the time, and left him with the responsibility of a child, the man's first instinct was to leave the kid at an orphanage. But after some convincing, Gregor's good friend Anders, took little Erich in. Anders became the only father figure in Erich's life. Anders knew that the boy was something special, and his suspicions were confirmed when Erich was just about to enter primary school in Salzburg Austria. During the winter of his fifth birthday, he made the cabin that they had been staying in go up in flames.
Anders had knew that little Erich was special. But it wasn't till the boy showed a talent for magic did Anders know what he was truly getting into. Erich was able to master the primary book of elementary magic before he turned eight. He was also surprised to find out how quickly the boy was able to master elemental magic. His mentor then turned to teaching him a more rare sort of magic that involves storing energy and releasing it at a later date. He also began to teach Erich about the laws of magic that had been written back in medieval times. He would instill in Erich the importance of carrying on the laws even though there are those that mainly disregard them. Erich was forced to go to school during the day, but at night, on weekends and during school breaks, he was put into magical boot camp of sorts. Erich was pushed to his straining point and pushed even further by Anders.
Summer time was generally a time for rain, but a sudden storm blew across the secluded mountain top, bringing a young hawk chick to the cabin. Anders taught Erich a bit of healing magic, just enough to help aid the recovery of the hawk. Erich nursed it back to health between his rigorous magical training. The young hawk chick had become his best friend and confidant. After looking through a book that Anders had provided for him, Erich found the name Arden and felt that it fit the little bird. Most nights were spent in the summer, around a camp fire, Anders telling stories about his childhood at a wonderful camp. Anders said that one day, Erich would have to go to the camp if his suspicions were correct. But there was no gaurentee.
The day that Erich turned ten, he was in school. He had been excused from his lessons so he could use the bathroom. There he was attacked by a cyclops. Erich barely managed to escape with his life, but his happy life was soon to end. While fighting against the cyclops, Erich discharged a lightening spell. The spell itself set the bathroom ablaze. Erich was apprehended and sentenced to time in a juvenile detention center. He had been sentenced to five years, but after two had passed, he was allowed to go free despite his scuffles with other boys. A man, a rather tall man who later, Erich would learn was Lord Mercury doing his mother a favor, took him to the wolf house across the ocean and in America. He was far from his Austrian homeland in a place where he spoke little English, and mostly Latin, German and french. But he was reunited with his buddy Anders that had gone with Mercury on the jail-breaking spree. He was introduced to Lupa, the she-wolf. It was strange that she immediately wanted to eat Erich, but found his magical powers and strength impressive. He was sent on his way to Camp Jupiter after a week and a half. His trip was uneventful and no monsters dared attack him.
Camp was a hard place for him. Other people tended to look down on him. But after showing his willingness to learn combat and how to employ his magical abilities as battle magic, he was claimed by Trivia. It was rather showy, lots of flashing lights and illuminations, and apparently fireworks. It was more than enough to make him embarrassed to be claimed in such a fashion in front of all his friends by his mom. It was something to the effect of being kissed good bye by your mom on the first day of secondary school. But he made friends none the less. He fought on the side of the gods during the first war, making sure to uphold the laws of magic that Anders had taught him. It was hard to do, but he managed. In the second war, he was a bit embarrassed about what his sister Rhiannon did, and people looked down on him because of what his sister did. Erich was determined to do better than the rumors circeling about him. To this day he still writes Anders and keeps in contact with him as well as hanging out with his friends and training.
