Pluto knew exactly where she was. He always knew where his children were. Call it fatherly intuition. But no, he knew she had just shadow traveled from the villa she was at with Apollo to the spot she had been putting some of her things for safe keeping. He had been through the spot and looked through the objects. The sword he had gifted her at a time he thought she was actually going to do good thing, a random letter, a ring. Random knick knacks in his opinion. However, he needed to talk to his mortal daughter. What was it with him not being able to get along with his daughters? First his immortal one never wanted to associate with him and despised both him and her mother, his wife. And his mortal one was just, well, to put it bluntly, making too many wrong choices that he was a hairs length from ending the headache she was his himself. But no, Apollo had talked to him and well, if the sun god felt she could change around than maybe Pluto should give her another chance. Her last one. Hopefully a nice kick with a pat on the back would convince her of the seriousness of the matter.
He exited the shadows and saw his daughter rereading the letter. Probably from her past lover before Apollo. The son of Mars. None of his business really. He stood tall and menacing. "Felicity, daughter, we need to discuss your recent behavior. He saw the shoulders tense on the form of his daughter before she slowly stood up and gave her a look that tried to remain to show one of courage but her eyes gave way to her fear. Pluto had developed a form of knack of being able to tell when there's fear in someone. His children were a lot easier to read anyway. A majority of his children inherited the dark haired genes of his and the inability to handle social situations well. Of course, some developed other things. In Felicity he could see a lot of his face in hers. The only thing different was her eyes, those were her mothers. The striking blue eyes always looking for adventure. Almost made Pluto think back to his time spent with her. But no, that was thought for another time. "I don't have to discus anything with you." His daughter finally replied, a harsh bite in her tone. Pluto narrowed his eyes at the lack of respect.
"And that is where you are wrong. See, you have caused me multiple headaches and I already have enough of a bad reputation from the past, both on my account and my children. You were already a hairs length from me ending you myself before someone convinced me to give you a second chance, young lady." He saw Felicity roll her eyes and give a scuff. "Sorry for ruining your reputation, since that's all that I seem to be a use of." She responded, with yet again a bite in her voice. He knew of the disrespect she held for all but a handful of gods and know he was witnessing it first hand. But he wasn't going to take it, especially not from his daughter.
"Listen, you ungrateful wretch. You're my daughter. The currently only living daughter of Pluto. People look up to you because of that and all you have done is do mistake after mistake and destroyed the trust and friendships of those who actually cared for you. Now, if you really want to tick me off, I won't hesitate from ending you right here. But you wouldn't go to the Underworld, I'd be sure of that. Your soul will die with your body, because it won't be able to leave it. You'll cease to ever exist. Got it?"There, that got the reaction he was looking for. Her eyes grew wide with fear that she quickly tried to make go away and glare at him, but it was barely there before it went away with a dejected sigh, knowing she could do nothing to counter anything he said. "Fine, so you said I had a second chance. Is this you warning me that if I mess up again that's what you'll leave me with?" She asked, trying to show her anger at him still. Pluto nodded. "Exactly. That, or worse. If I think over it I'm sure I can think of something." Pluto added, matter-of-factly."Great, awesome talk. I'll remember it. That it?" She asked as she took a backpack and flung it over her shoulder, having put everything but the swords into it. "No, I'm trusting you to take this last chance and really make a difference with it. I believe in you, as every parent believes in their child. Therefore, I'm going to make your adjustment back to camp life a bit easier for you. Think of it as eighteen years worth of birthday gifts." She was eighteen, right? Pluto hoped so because that was what he was sticking with. His daughter knit her eyes in confusion, probably from the transition of threats of a trial worth than death to birthday gifts."What?""Well, you don't have any place to stay once you get back to camp and since you have a habit of not thinking ahead it would probably be nightfall and you'd sleep on a bench somewhere. Thanks to me, you won't have to. There is a fully furnished apartment for you in New Rome awaiting your arrival. I looked at previous things you've owned to try to make it suitable to your standards and the first six months are paid for already. That should give you enough time to find a job to stabilize your own self. I expect you to take this gift, gratefully, and actually find a way to repay me in the future by not screwing anything else up with your lack of forethought and care for others." Pluto finished. Despite the explanation of gifts ending on a cruel jab at her, he expected her to show her thanks. Instead, all he got was a more confused face. "But...how?" She asked, very confused. This was the point where Pluto began to question the education of what is taught on what the gods stand for at the camp. "I'm the god of all the Earth's riches. It was pocket change for me to do this. And don't think you're special. I'll find something equally grand to do for Gabriel at the right moment, after all, he hasn't done nearly enough as you for me to disapprove of him, yet. And when you get back to camp, be sure to talk to your nephew, Kyle." Pluto finished, looking at his daughter, getting extremely annoyed at her lack of thanks at the moment."Thank you, I guess. I'll uh... yeah. I guess I'll try." She finally said, though Pluto thought it was a bit forced. But never mind, he had said his peace and done the business he had attended to do. "Well than. It was a pleasant conversation. Till next time." Pluto said as he let the shadows consume him as he left his daughter in a state of confusion. He just hoped she took this final chance seriously, for both their sakes.
