After everything that happened from Orthys onward, Ed was on the downward spiral. I know he kinda usually is, but worse than usual, especially after losing Felicity.

I just think Rhia and Josh were so kind to let Ed stay with them (Ed still things they're insane). But, this has been his first legit room since he was at Em's place. It's been a long time coming and it's taken a while for him to do it, but he's finally settled and kind of "decorated" his new room. In a way, they kept Ed (semi)sane and with something to hold on to after getting discharged. Also in a way, he's still afraid to acknowledge them as family, since family never really works out for him.

Josh's dissapearance brought Ed closer to Rhia. Even though it started out as a promise to Josh that he'd look after her, over time, Edmund did legitimately start caring about Rhia and her wellbeing. He started to try cooking and looking after things that Josh normally would've. They've bonded a couple of times in ICs and you can literally see their relationship arc improving (much like you did with Ed/Josh). From neutrals (in Ed's perspective) to family.

Now that Josh's back, he hopes that everything'll turn back to normal. He has tried to get Josh to talk about what happened (being the hypocrite he is) but that hasn't gone anywhere, and Edmund knows not to push too much with things like that. So, all he can do is stand by him and try to help as much as he can. Although, if he ever finds out who did it, they're getting a head shot.

After Art's birth, Ed even set up a bit of a welcome home party for them. Ed being simple Ed, the decorations were few. It was just a quiet little thing, at night, with food (without onions or garlic), and a couple of blood flavored lollipops.

There's probably a lot more I can say, but I can't think of it right now....
Just GAH FEELS. I just really like them as a family, okay? XD

*sobs into the beyond* THEY WERE ALL SO CUTE WITH EACH OTHER AND GOT REALLY CLOSE AND THEY WERE SUCH A NICE FAMILY DFSJKLAJFSADKLJFDSAKJFD Ed's just so numb and reliving stuff. but at least it fits the pattern of the curse of him never being able to keep a familyyyy hahahaha T_T and Josh going back and forth between rage/depression and that was just the love of his life and the mother of his child and...and... MY FRIGGIN SHIP!!! THEY HAD SUCH NICE AUS WITH ART AND WYNN AND THE ENTIRE FAMILY x_____x ART'S GONNA GROW UP WITHOUT HIS MOM and i'm a messss

Edit: I think Ed's gone numb because (a) he can't deal with this much emotion (b) bc he feels like he needs to look after Josh and Art and he obvs can't do that if he falls apart himself ;_;
