Gender ;; Male

Immortal Parent ;; Apollo

Appearance ;;
William is usually dubbed the “pretty boy” type, but he usually doesn’t put much thought into it really, it’s just mostly good genes and hard training. He keeps his brunette hair short to stay out of the way when training and usually dresses casually unless he needs to be in full armor or camp uniform. Whatever is comfortable is his usual style. For a son of the sun god, he tends to wear unusually dark clothes, but the fact of the matter is… he just doesn’t like big, bright, and flashy. His favorite color is navy blue, which he often sports. His features are very distinct and angular, and he has the body of an archer: lean and somewhat thin, though with well-built upper body muscles from so much training with a bow. His eyes he got from his mother, a clear crystalline blue. His smile he got from his father: charming and bright. He is rather handsome, and there was a time he well knew this, but now he doesn’t put much thought to it really. He has other matters on his mind.
Personality ;;
Will honestly has several sides, depending on who he is with. One side is his older side; the way he used to be and – thank the gods – has near entirely given up. It does still come out every once in a while, and hints of it are still there out of sheer habit. This is his slightly more vane side. Growing up, he wanted attention, because he usually had to share with Ashley everything growing up, so when he was free from that, he immediately got a little attention-piggy. He dressed in ways to show off his legion-trained physique and styled his hair to a tee and basically did anything to get noticed, especially by girls. He stuck to the rules, yes, but he also really liked to go out of his way to be the center of attention. His usual plot was to simply be better than the others… and to train shirtless sometimes. Thank the gods he grew out of that one.
Nowadays, he really doesn’t do much for attention, though sometimes he still comes across that way because most expect it of him. Ironically, he actually looks better now that he isn’t doing much to make himself look better. His friends have become better, in that he has made new friends who aren’t as superficial as he once was. Now he’s all about family. He loves his whole family – yes, even Ashley. Oh, and his secret girlfriend, who isn’t really a secret, but seeing as he’s not supposed to be with her, it kind of has to be. Details. All in all, he feels like his life is pretty well coming together.
Powers ;;
Light Manipulation – Will can manipulate existing light in any direction or concentration, so long as it is already present.
Range Weaponry – Will is very good at archery, javelins, and any real projectile weapon. It also helps that he was trained in it since he was roughly six, along with his sister, by a mentor who also happened to be related to Apollo.
Music – Will inherited a singing from both parents, and his mom taught him and Ashley the art of opera on her own. He likes pretty much every type of music except rap and will sing along with anything that comes on the radio. He also loves to make mix CDs and one of his prize possessions is his MP3 player. He also can usually learn to play an instrument fairly quickly just by trying to play it, with little instruction.

History ;;
Candice Meyers was born and raised in Orlando, Florida, where she loved nothing more than visiting the beach and sunbathing and her job of playing Cinderella at Walt Disney World. Well, that and her side dream of being an opera singer. She took lessons once a week with Frau Holder since she was six. When she was fresh out of high school, she met him. Malcolm Carstairs. He was witty, charming, handsome, everything. They dated for a little over a year when he proposed and Candice was looking forward to a life of happiness. The couple moved to San Diego, California to be near his family and she took up opera lessons again along with a full-time job to help pay for the wedding. The date for the wedding was a month away when her world crashed in around her. He never told her why really – or not to her satisfaction – he just walked out on her. She was broken-hearted. She put her all into her opera lessons, her true passion, and, with the support of her best friend, Karen Franco, pulled through the tragedy. She was just coming through and getting ready for her first maybe audition when her opera coach had to leave town to be with his father who was very ill and nearing death. Thankfully, a local talent stepped in to help her out, a man named Gerald Hall. The two hit it off immediately. One week turned into a month turned into three months. Eventually, the two were going out on dates after class and on off days. Before long, well… he had to go too. Not a week after he left, she found out she was pregnant. A couple months into the pregnancy, she got a letter from Gerald… who turned out to be not Gerald at all, but the god Apollo. He explained everything, and she kind of went into panic mode. Luckily Karen was with her when she got the letter, and Karen happened to be a legacy of Apollo, so she pitched in some advice and help.
April 1st the baby was born. Or rather, both of them. Ashley and William. William always bragged that he was born first. Karen pitched in all she could in raising the twins, though honestly, nothing out of the ordinary happened between them outside regular growing up. As soon as they were old enough to not cry for a solid hour, Candice started getting them into the local children’s arts groups such as acting and choir. It was on a trip to one of these groups, while walking through the city streets, that she saw him again. Malcolm. Accompanied by a little girl who definitely had a resemblance to him. She was furious, and she swore one day she would get back at him for betraying her for – so it appeared – another woman. For their sixth birthday, Karen bought them both bows, which earned a lot of worry on their mother’s part. However, once Karen explained the whole Apollo knack for archery thing and swore on all things sacred that she would not let them shoot each other or something, she was allowed to start teaching them at a nearby indoor target range during off hours. All in all, Candice was almost prepared to keep them past ten since nothing bad was happening and she wasn’t really ready to give them up. However, on their tenth birthday, suspecting as much, visited her and persuaded her to take the two to Lupa. The next day, Karen came and helped with the journey. It was difficult to drop them off at the Wolf house, but at least they had each other there. Lupa might have been terrifying at first, but they stood together, and they did know some fighting tactics, which got them decently far. Plus there was the upside that when Lupa was cranky, one or both of them would sing for the She Wolf and calm her nerves, which, while not very Roman, was immensely appreciated. Within a couple months, Lupa allowed them both to leave together for camp.
Thank goodness, nothing much too horrible happened en route. They made it safely there, though that was the only safe part about it. Thank goodness their bow training gave them a bit of something familiar there beyond each other. Sword fighting, at least for Will, was a challenge, but he did his best at everything. He and Ashley took up time joining the choir there too right off the bat and got a thrill out of performing in the enormous amphitheater. However, Will also sought to be different, so he started taking tips from a friend of his, Carlos, a son of Venus, and worked on looking good to get attention. It worked for a good few years. During this time, he met her. Jessamine Carstairs. She was minding her own business on the Field of Mars when it occurred to him that she was pretty and alone and he wanted to talk to her. That was what was behind it initially, but eventually he grew more interested in her as a person. A lot more interested. Rumor has it that Cupid had a hand in it. Though, thankfully, the feeling seemed mutual. However, neither of their families really were too keen on them being together. Ashley mentioned it to their mother and all heck broke loose, as the last name was too unusual to be just coincidence in her opinion. Ashley sided with their mom, though not as harshly as she still did care about her brother. Jessamine’s family was no more thrilled with it. So essentially, they had to keep things secret.
War hit not once, but twice so close together and William struggled, but managed to get only superficial wounds. Ashley was a little worse off in the second war, but managed to heal quickly, in time to serve the last few days of the war in the Legion infirmary with only a bit of a wobble to her step. Thankfully neither were all that hurt by the camp’s run-in with the government group, though both Will and Ashley did pitch in trying to help recovery. Now that things are quieting down, Will is focusing more attention on those things – and people – he holds dear, from his family to Jessamine to his music.
