Appearance ;; Like her best friend Emily she stands at an intimidating 5’2” and she is very proud of her height. She might look thin and breakable but she’s tougher than she looks. After what she’s gone through in her life she had to grow up to be tough on the inside and the outside, because of this her looks represent the way she is. Her natural hair color is now actually a mystery because being a daughter of Venus she has the power to control her features so she changes her hair a lot. Currently she’s settled on purple with some small hints of black streaks. She plans on keeping this look for a while. The length of her hair sits just a little below her shoulders, this is because she thinks it’s not to long but not to short at the same time. Her eyes though she enjoys changing, normally they stay at a silver or greyish color but when she’s angry she changes them to green.
Personality ;;RottenBad to the core, this is the easiest way to describe Melody. Her father died when she was about five and having no other family she was on the run. The system seemed like a death sentence so she did everything she could to survive. She stole, pick pocketed, broke into place and there was a couple times she broke into cars to steal the money or computers that were in there. It was lucky she learned about her powers early because she was able to disguise herself. Living on the streets for that year she had to learn quick. She’s street smart and knows her way around…well that was for a year at least.
After being taken in she learned that she did have a temper and life wasn’t all about fun and games. When people were mean to her she was mean right back. Hurting people turned into a game for her and she enjoys it. Playing with a person was like playing with your favorite toy, and then destroying it. Learning to manipulate their minds was the best thing ever. She described that as like how a psychologist can get into a persons head and see their inner most fears and use them to her advantage. It’s something she loves to do and she worked on it more once the government took her and started to experiment on her. Because of them her mind has been totally warped on what is right and what is wrong, now she sees people as toys and love as a tool to use to destroy someone.
Powers ;; Being a daughter of Venus she has numerous powers that deal with love, her first power is being able to attract the opposite gender whenever she walks by. This is so useful when she wants to get some information from people. Her favorite power is her charm speak ability, being able to influence other people by just a word really is fun and helps keep people under her control. She also possesses a minor control over love magic like all her sisters and brothers. That one is fun to have because she’s able to mess with people’s hearts. Her last ability is the ability to change her physical features. This power combined with her ADHD really leads to some interesting hair choices and eye color choices. Her powers aren’t infinite like her mothers and they do have their limitations. Normally she can only influence people with charm speak for a short while, about twenty minutes at most from her count. After then she has to rest for a couple hours before using her charm speak over again.

History ;; Mel like her friends has a horrible past. It all has to start when her father, who was a good-looking man from the pictures she’s seen was seduced by Venus. It’s all because of her that she came into existence. Sure she could be angry with the goddess for abandoning her but hey, what else could you want? Your mother was the goddess of love and needed to be everywhere all the time. Not only that but love was one of those things that had to get around for the world to keep on going. Back to the whole point of the story. Everything was going all fine and dandy; her father Nate loved her so very much. He was the best father he could be and made sure his little girl wanted for nothing…
That was until the monsters came. She had gone over to a friend’s house for a sleep over one night; she knew that she shouldn’t because there were monsters after them. Why there were real monsters her father never told her but she knew it was probably a stupid idea to sleep at her friend’s house. What she thought was a dumb idea turned out to be a lucky one. Returning home the next morning she went into the house to find her father dead on the floor. He was surrounded by what looks like the contents of a battle and what could only be the dust from monster remains. After allowing herself a few moments to cry she made her way to her room and packed her little backpack. She was going to have to go on the run.
Living on the street for a kid is not easy at all, double how hard it is when there are real live monsters after you and you get a concoction for trouble. She did anything she had to so she could survive. That meant stealing, breaking into places, stealing from cars and even pick pocketing. Lucky for her she discovered her powers soon enough to be able to change her looks and make sure that no one was able to know who she was. With this life she was just barley staying ahead of the monsters.
From here she couldn’t tell if she was lucky or if she was unlucky. Sleeping in an abandoned warehouse one night she didn’t know that she had been followed. By both friend and foe. One was a government agent and hunter working under the man she would come to know as Avetis, the other was a monster that was set out to kill her. She only knew something was up when she heard the sounds of the fight and woke up to find the agent covered in blood but very well alive. She was six at the time. He told her that he could take her to a place that she would be kept safe and well protected from these evil monsters so she decided to go with him.
Oh if only she hadn’t…
That was when the real nightmare began. All of the testing by the government. All she heard was something about Demi-gods and turning them into weapons and doing studies on them. It was there that she learned that her mother was Venus, Goddess of Love and Beauty. It helped her out because they experimented on her but they also tested out her powers. Day by day she learned that she had different powers and each day she learned how to control them better.
This nightmare turned into a learning experience for her, she learned how to use love as a weapon and use it to bend people to her will. Her favorite thing was playing with boys like they were toys to be used and thrown away. Learning that she could make them fall in love with her and then break her heart in an instant with thrilling. She was bad but she learned to be worse while she was there.
As the years passed she stopped seeing the people who worked there as an enemy and started seeing them as family. The three other kids who were brought in with her: Emily, Jacob and Jace were her friends and she looked at them as her new family. They became close over their years there and she realized then they all shared a bond and nothing would ever tear them apart. Well there was all most something but that is in the past. The Demi-Gods, those stupid ones that had to come in and ruin EVERYTHING!
No, they just couldn’t be happy with what was happening with them! They had to have some people find out where the base was and ruin everything. They were so selfish they destroyed it all. Their home, the people they love, everything was taken away from them. It was there as they watched Audrey and Avetis being taken away from them they made a pact, a vow. Go to the Demi-Gods camp and destroy them from the inside out. If they wanted to learn what it was like to be bad then they were going to get a taste of it.
