Appearance ;; Aurora’s hair color is naturally a light-ash blonde, however she has lightened it to a platinum, though it does retain it’s cool ashy undertones by the use of toning product. The natural texture of her hair is a light wave, though it is not uncommon for her to style her hair by straightening it or curling it. She will occasionally braid it or put it in a bun. Left down, her hair goes down to her mid back. Aurora’s eyebrows are thin and defined, and she oftentimes wears darker mascara, because her eyelashes are so pale. Her skin is very pale, though not a ghostly white color. Aurora’s eyes are a very light shade of blue, and her lips are a pale nude color, not too big or small either. She has a cute face, though her expression typically makes her look like the moment you turn your back she’ll have a dagger in your shoulderblades.
Aurora has a thin physique, and a well toned body. She is small framed, though she is tall, with a height of 5’10”. Most of her height is in her legs, and she has a small but nice butt. The clothes Aurora wears are modern and fashionable, think business style. She goes for a lot of dark colors, and simple form fitting outfits. Sleek and classy style.
Personality ;; Aurora's antisocial, her interests mostly surrounding herself. Self centered? Most certainly. I wouldn't go as far to say conceited is out of the question. She puts her interests in front of everyone else's. She's more of a Chaotic Neutral, she doesn't do things out of spite for evil or necessary need to right the wrongs of the world. She follows her head, what she feels with gain her the most. She's cunning, and a master of deception, and cheating out of things. She does tend to play dirty, as it will usually be what drives her to farther success, and this doesn't bother her in the slightest. Her ice cold demeanor can come off as intimidating, and there's no layer of warm and snugly underneath it to make up for it. Many of the means she can go through to achieve her ends can be seen as violent and immoral, but this doesn't matter to her.
Aurora could consider herself a pragmatist, a realist. She sees things in terms of outcome, and she doesn't like to take risks. She's very smart with money, and quite stingy. She's not one to be donating to charity any time soon. Another thing about her is her temper. You do not want to get on the bad side of Aurora, as she can be unpredictable when angered. Her anger is typically pushed out in the form of spite and vengeance. The side she takes doesn't matter, and she's the kind to betray for a reward. The few people Aurora cares about, she's fiercely defensive of, and would offer the world to.
Aurora feels a constant need to conceal any and all weaknesses of herself. She values opinion so much, coming from a place where connections are the land of the law. She's a responsible girl, and handles things far too seriously. It's her way or the highway. Aurora is also your typical classy girl, stilettos and champagne. She's got an adoration for lavish objects. Though her style is simple and classy, save for her jewelry, you can clearly see her wealth is abundant. Aurora's a firm nonbeliever in fate and pre-made destiny. She finds the thought incredulous, and believes that everyone has a choice to make. In a way, she fully accepts the person who she is, and wouldn't change anything if given the chance to.
Powers ;; Like all children of Mars, Aurora’s a natural fighter. She’s adept at it, and good at fighting strategy, as well as war strategy. She’s a very experienced demigod, so by now she is top of the class and there are very few people who could best her, likely Big Three demigods, her other siblings, and anyone who’s really put in a lot of effort in training, though that is mostly because of experience and innate talent for fighting. Like other Mars children, Aurora is an expert with weapons, though she cannot control them magically. It is a power she never developed. She is also great with strategies of battle and war, and it comes as an innate sense to her. That doesn’t mean that what she is feeling is right, and it can be a bit of a wild card. This comes from the battle-hungry part of her manifesting and trying to lead Aurora.
Family ;; Elise Aldenberg-Janson - mother, Mars- father, Alyssa Janson- half-sister, Erik Janson - stepfather, Mars children- paternal half-sibling.
History ;;
Aurora’s history begins not with her, but her mother, Elise. Elise was a no-nonsense businesswoman, CEO of the Aldenberg Corporations, a large Scandinavian company. One day, she was attending a meeting discussing the Nyholm branch, which specialized in Weapons for personal and home use, as well as their manufacturing. Elise had stakes, as the industry was big and made a lot of money. She met a man, who seemed to be interested in her and her endeavors. The two hit it off, and things led to one another, and Elise was left pregnant with his child.
When Aurora was born, it was clear that she was a difficult child. She demanded Elise’s undivided attention, something that was hard to give when focused on a company. This wasn’t going to work, Elise wasn’t meant to be a mother. Aurora was left with multiple nannies, as they were the ones who could better take care of her. Aurora was certainly a troublesome child, and she liked to get physical with things, because that was the only way she could ever really get to see her mother was when she was scolded for her bratty behavior. When Aurora was 3, Elise married a man, a male model from Germany, and the two of them had another child, Alyssa. Though Aurora was too young to know it, she was from a different father of the new girl, Alyssa. Aurora had mixed feelings about her stepfather, though she didn’t hate him, she didn’t think he liked her very much, and that all he wanted to was take away Elise’s attention from Aurora. However, the bond between Aurora and Alyssa was clear. the two girls were inseparable, and Alyssa tended to bring out a calmer and more personable side of Aurora.
When Aurora was in grade school, she slowly began to realize that what she was doing wasn’t going to work. Aurora never went to a formal school, she was privately tutored. She wanted to impress her mother, and she slowly began to realize that she was the new heir of the family business. This brought a whole new light to things with her. Her deepest desire was to impress her mother with her schooling, to prove that she was truly worth her time and attention. Aurora calmed down drastically, and focused a lot of her energy towards her schooling. She was less spontaneous and angry than her early childhood years, and she was far more disciplined with herself. She sought attention, and attention she received. Though it wasn’t always from the people who she wanted to get attention from. Still, her mother was too busy to raise a child, and all Aurora’s deepest dreams that were harboured were shattered. Instead of the outcome that Aurora had expected, her mother saw her as ready to attend school, boarding school. It hurt Aurora, because once again, her attempts to please Elise were in vain. She didn’t want to leave home for the south of the country, she wanted to stay with her dear sister…
Aurora was ten years old at the time… She didn’t want to go to the boarding school, and the night her bags were packed and she was being driven, the drive was sabotaged by a pack of wolves, that Aurora would later discover belonged to Lupa. She was taken overseas, to the Wolf House to complete her training. She had one simple task, prove herself to Lupa, or get eaten. And she did just that. Her talent with weapons was clear, though there was one thing she was lacking in. She did not know how to speak any English. The only languages she knew were Swedish, German, and Latin. It was hard for her to communicate with the rest of the other children because of this. Despite this, Lupa saw her as worthy to make the journey to Camp, and Aurora made it there. She was placed in her cohort, because although she may not have been able to read the words on her letter, she was a worthy soldier of Rome.
She had a friend in her cohort who agreed to help her learn English, if Aurora helped her with combat training. In the daytime, Aurora would assist her with training and combat, and in the night, Aurora learned how to speak, read, and write English. Because all language was similar to both Swedish and German, Aurora picked it up fairly easily, though she had a very heavy accent, and for a while the English she did speak was broken. It was embarrassing, so she waiting until she was fully proficient to really demonstrate what she learned. If someone wanted to communicate with her, they used either Latin or hand gestures and body language. There was a large mystery about her. She was the girl who spoke barely any English, and tended to speak far better with a Gladius than her words. It was confusing, and it certainly set her apart from the rest of her fellow legionnaires. On Aurora’s 16th birthday, she was claimed by her father, the god of war Mars. It wasn’t exactly unexpected, considering Aurora’s general no-nonsense attitude and proficiency with weapons. However, her excitement was short lived.
When Aurora was 17, the Legion went to war with Saturn. Aurora fought in the war, as well. Aurora sided with the Legion, feeling that she had nothing to gain from siding with Saturn and the traitors. However, by the end of the plot arc with Saturn, Aurora had left the Legion, her 10 years of service up. She left during the patch of quiet, and spent two years in Sweden, visiting family. She reunited with her sister, Alyssa, though she had plenty of questions for Elise that went unanswered. After two years, she felt her time in Europe was up, and boarded a plane back to the United States. She’s back for education, schooling in New Rome.
