* - - Mors - - *
Name ;; Mors
Nickname(s) ;;Thantos (for those Greek's)death, grim reaper, guide
Age ;;unknown, appears early 20's
Birthday ;;Born before time, but set to April 5 by Charlie
Gender ;; Male
Species ;;God
Immortal Parent ;; Erebus and Nox
Years at Camp ;; N/A
Celebrity Claim ;; Andrej Pejic
Appearance ;; Mors prefers to keep his blonde, near white, hair long. Sometimes he will tie it up, however that is not often, and will have it straight or wavy depending on the mood of the day. Clear, deep blue eyes are set under curved eyebrows. There have been times when they turn to a dark black, with darkness similar to what is found at the bottom of Tartarus. His small thin face it smooth with pale white skin.
His thin body and face leave him to often be confused with a female, which has lead to the unfortunate femininity of his name. The porcelain white skin that covers his face extends to the rest of his body. If not for the warm hue of his flesh beneath the skin he may be confused for a ghost.
Little fat or muscle line his body, leaving him thin and almost fragile looking. His shoulders are rather thin for a male, and especially for a roman. Lean muscle lay close to his bones, letting him have the strength it takes to usher the dead to the underworld.
Personality ;; Mors cares for himself and his family, but few others. Other than the few extraordinary women he falls for, Mors is married to his job. He is the messenger of Pluto, and attempts to keep track of the many tasks the man needs to do. Mors has taken it upon himself to make sure the underworld runs as smooth as possible, despite the sometimes ill manner of his boss.
By keeping everything in as perfect an order as possible, Mors attempts to keep chaos from over running things. The occasional chaos is new and welcomed, because it is simply a new challenge to over come. Good and evil play little part in anything he does, he has no time with the busy schedule of retrieving and guiding souls to the underworld.
People are not always happy to see death, or to be told they are dead. The customer service aspect of this have left Mors with the ability to turn off his emotions, lest he be tempted to let a soul wander for eternity if not attempt to obliterate it completely. Having seen his fair share of terrible deaths, and knows the worst way to die depends on the person. Often he tries to relieve a soul from it's body before experiencing too much pain, but he does not always get there early enough. It is not out of the kindness of his heart, but out of duty to his job. A calm soul moves more smoothly than a traumatized one.
When interacting with people of any kind Mors will speak in complete sentences, and politely. His own family he will use more tender terms with, and often with younger children. Those who show no respect of little respect for anyone are disliked by Mors, however he will not act on it. Threatening his workplace, charges, or family however will light a spark in the grim reaper.
Powers ;;
The Grimm Reaper has dominion over the souls of people, and is able to keep them from leaving the underworld. It is also his doing that keeps monsters from immediately reforming in the mortal world. He is a god, and has the ability to be in multiple places at the same times, the number is unknown. As with any god he is able to sense when his name is used and if someone is praying to him, or perhaps for him. He often ignores these cries, again like how many other gods, but certain prayers he will attempt to answer, as long as they do not interfere with their death day. Mors is able to know a persons death day, because of multiple factors some peoples death may change. In general he knows at what point someones death is cemented and for sure will happen.
To collect souls Mors is able to separate a soul from the body alive or dead, in the few cases a soul remains in the body after death. In the case of a living subject it causes the body to go into a coma, he normally avoids this because it can also easily cause the body to die before it's time. He uses this ability mostly for people who undergo painful deaths, so they need not feel the agony. Curses on a soul are also things that Mors can take a look at, and banish if they are not more powerful than he is.
Mors has pure white wings which can lift his own weight and little else. He is able to glide with a living human, and fly normally with a soul or two. He is able to make them appear black through shadow manipulation. His shadow manipulation makes it so he can shadow travel and manipulate shadows in many ways, since his mother is night and father is darkness Mors is very skilled in his use of shadows and darkness.
The butterfly is Mors symbol and he is able to summon them, or turn people into them. They have the ability to carry messages for him and can guide the dead to the underworld for him. They also let him know when a soul is being particularly stationary about his place in the mortal world, in which case he will retrieve them himself.
His battle prowess is mostly centered around pole arms, but still able to use swords. He does not fight well in a group, and is more fit to take out anyone in an area. This is of course only if he needs to fight immortals, as he can simply kill a mortal body if necessary. A simple matter of making the heart stop, but highly frowned upon.
Family ;;
Father: Erebus
Mother: Nox
Siblings:
Daughter: Eve
Grandchild: Lilith
History ;; Born with his twin brother Somus, Mors became the guide of the dead. His mother had many other children, and together they grew into their respective roles in the mortal world. Watching the incredibly awkward family, that could only be his, Mors watched son over take father time and again. It was a viscous cycle that always had to involve chopping of immortal gods and betrayal. It was all foolish to him, as parents need take care of their children instead of fearing them.
Long before Pluto emerged from his fathers stomach, which disturbed Mors quite a bit, he controlled the flow of the dead. Once yet another coup had taken place to put the three brothers at the top, the world was divided. It was strange to him, that one got dominion of the air, one of the sea, and finally the underworld and earth were for Pluto. Being the guide of the dead Mors naturally fell under the last god, and one that was much younger than him. They had all been younger, for sure, but they did not seem to be making the same mistakes their father and grand father had. It was a relief for him that there would be little more strife. While the petty arguments between family continued, Mors was simply thankful there was not yet another coup to over throw the 'Big Three'.
Young and sometimes foolish Mors was fooled by a human with a simple trick and chained to a rock Jupiter had order the mortal be chained to. He had gone to take the man to the underworld, but instead death was brought to a halt as he sat chained to a rock. It was Mars who came to break Mors chains, and release the nature of death back on a chaotic world. Even after Mors finally hauled the mortal to the underworld, the man escaped again. It was finally Mercury who drug the man to the Fields of Punishment never to be seen again.
Even after becoming more accustomed to his job, and learning that he need not feel so much for the souls who died he still blundered. Failing to overtake a demi-god who had come to take a friends wife back, Mors felt almost happy that someone cared enough about a friend to fight death for him.
For a time he thought about training his body to become physically stronger, however it seemed as though he had no time with the constant flux of dead. He would have more time if he did not try to keep things running smooth. Any time someone in the underworld needed time away from the annoying voices of the undead he would attempt to find a way to fill the role. Not always himself, but perhaps another who owed a favor for their own time off.
